Thank you for your review. Happy to hear you had a lovely relaxing stay in this beautiful property. All the beds are brand new, and have now been adjusted so they don't squeak! The internet is continuously improving in the mountains and gets better year on year, but is not suitable for streaming and so forth yet. NB for future guests for supermarkets there are: Carrefour express less 10 mins in two directions, a Conad supermaket in Castelnuovo 25 mins away, the hypermarket is 35 mins away (all per google maps). Thank you for your review of this property. We are very surprised to see a 2 star rating when the review says the house was nice, spacious and well equipped and all our reviews on other sites are 5 star with those on HomeAway 4 or 5 star . The review seems to be based on the area rather than the property. As can be seen from the advert and the map the property is mountainous and secluded. This is a perfect place for those seeking peace and quiet and I believe this is quite clear from the description. It seems maybe this area wasn't the right choice for your party We have now raised with the owners re the beds being squeaky and they have now been adjusted. NB FOR FUTURE GUESTS, do please note that there are 2 supermarkets less than a 10 minute drive in one direction, and 10 minutes in the other, with a larger town with all facilities 20 minutes away . The village of Camporgiano is a 10 minute drive with a selection of restaurants. Piazza al Serchio an 8 minute drive also has some eating options as well as butchers, bakers, greengrocers, pasticceria, other local shops and a supermarket. It is also possible to walk to the little village bar which also has basic shopping and where as can be seen from other reviews the owners will cook for you on request. This is an 600M flat walk from the house (or a 2 min drive). Children feel safe walking down to the bar, and for things of interest for them to do, there is a zipwire/tree climbing park suitable for all ages just a 15 min drive, as is the Fortress of Verrucole with interactive museum, swimming in the river just 10 mins away, horseriding 20 mins away. There are the wind caves for a morning or afternoon out, and Lucca an hour or so away for exploring the city and cycling the walls which all young people seem to love. For the more adventurous, and further afield you can spend an afternoon river canyoning or quad biking etc. This is not an area for those looking for a touristy holiday, but for those looking for something different - quiet, peaceful, countryside etc. We do provide a full information pack with suggestions of things to do.
