Mountain Traveler Ranch Barndominium

Come on out the Ranch! Our 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment (barndominium) sits atop our working barn at the -MT Ranch. Stop and take in a true Montana experience, watch the horse and calves play in the field and enjoy the steers, horses, and other barn animals. Eenjoy your morning coffee watching the sun come up while the Buffalo are a window view away. You can enjoy your stay without going anywhere but we are conveniently located just minutes to Kalispell, and Flathead Lake. -MT is centrally located between 2 ski resorts Whitefish Mountain and Blacktail Mountain. Take a 36 mile drive to Glacier National Park. Enjoy 360 scenic views of the surrounding mountains in this 2nd story Barndominium. Fully furnished with King bed master and Queen guest rooms and tile and wood floors with granite counter tops. An A/C system in the main living area keeps the warm summer days at bay while a fireplace will keep you toasty in the cooler months. BBQ, hot tub, and firepit are at your disposal during your stay as well. Heading to Glacier National Park? https://www.nps.gov/glac/learn/news/glacier-national-park-2023-vehicle-reservations-open-february-1.htm They have instituted a entry ticket system and start releasing vehicle reservations as early as Feb 1st. Come on out to the -MT Ranch and enjoy your Montana vacation!

We loved our stay at this property. It is well decorated, beautiful setting with amazing view from the hot tub, and the girls loved watching the horses.

We really enjoyed our stay that the barndominium! It was such a peaceful location and waking up to the horses and cows was a treat! Unfortunately, we didn't have time to take advantage of the hot tub, but all of the other amenities were great. One tip - bring your own shower stuff (soap, shampoo/conditioner). Overall we had a wonderful stay!

A photographers paradise

The Barndominium was beautiful. The owners were extremely nice and easy to work with. It is perfectly located between the Bison Range, Flathead lake and Glacier. The surrounding areas are absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.

True Montana Experience!

When we saw the “barndominium” on a working ranch, we knew it was the place for us. The charm and comfort was great, and our hosts provided helpful advice as we planned our trip. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay.

Beautiful views of mountains out every window. Inside was tidy and looked taken care of! Had everything we needed to make a few meals there. Thanks for letting us stay!

Simple life is the best!

Perfect family ranch getaway. Close enough to GNP, yet not in a touristy location. True Montana feeling, the entire family loved it. We were calling it “home” within a day. Highly recommended!!

Panoramic Mountain Views from a working Ranch

The stay was great and just as described. Although it took us 50min to get to West Glacier each day we went up, the ranch was quiet, secluded, and very peaceful. We went hiking, boating, exploring the mountains in an ATV, horseback riding, and many other things around Glacier and Flathead, yet our kids consistently said their favorite activity was being at the ranch playing with the new kittens and petting the horses and cows. Suny and Sue were very accommodating and great hosts, gave us recommendations to a rodeo that we thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely stay again if we were back in the area.

Nice apartment, restful, clean

Very clean, comfortable property. Bedding was comfortable. quiet. Owner was there and busy but nice. TV reception was spotty and instruction for use were based on idea that you already were familiar with streaming services. I am not a rancher but could tell they have over grazed the property.

Lovely ranch destination

First time in a barndominium and was lovely! Very clean and comfortable. Power went out when getting ready one morning, but of course no fault of the owner. Her attention to the little details was wonderful! We appreciated the snacks and hat very much!! Perfect location to enjoy the surrounding small towns and visiting Glacier. Loved watching the kids practice their roping, getting ready for their rodeo. Highly recommend this rental!!

What an amazing experience

This was our first experience staying at a “barndominium” and I’m afraid I will never be able to replicate the wholesome, beauty, peace and joy we experienced there - both exploring Glacier & at the property. The second floor of the barn (which is where you would be living) is clean, modern with a country feel, and extremely comfortable & inviting. The ranch is beautiful with horses, cattle, pigs, dogs and cats. Our boys (ages 7, 7, & 4 and from a big city) were in heaven. Thank you for making our stay so memorable and taking the time to help my boys learn about farm life. We also enjoyed exploring Glacier National Park, the rodeo and dinner on Flathead Lake.

We loved the barn. Its close proximity to Glacier National Park, Kalispell, Flathead lake and river made it ideal! This is a working farm so there are all the critters smells and a few flies that come along with it. Having our own farm it felt like home! The beds were very comfortable, nice firm bed with cushion top. The bed slept great! We made dinner several nights at the barn and we loved the island in the kitchen, tons of room to cook and create. The place was very clean and relaxing. We spent 8 days and 7 nights here and since have recommended to our entire family and all our friends. Thank you Sue and Suny for a great stay!

We were in town for a wedding. The location was close to all the places we were wanting to see in a short amount of time. It was clean, comfortable, and peaceful. We loved hearing the cows in the mornings and enjoyed seeing all the animals daily. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful place

We had a great time staying at the Barndominium. Our 4 kids enjoyed all the animals. We explored Glacier National Park each day and relaxed in the hot tub at night. It was perfect for our family.

Highly recommend

Mattress and hot tub allowed us to rejuvenate our bodies. Kitchen was adequately supplied. Clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!!

This is a beautiful and for the most part up to date place to stay. Very clean and quiet. Comfy king bed. However the smell of cat pee in the living area and bathroom is very potent. Not barn animal smell, cat pee. In my opinion it made the stay not worth the price.
