Large house, very private with nice views. Great water pressure in the shower and a nice soaker tub. We stayed here in the summer with a lot of heat and humidity- fans helped but a couple of window A/C units to help nighttime sleep would have bumped this up to five stars for me.

What a nice, clean, and private location. Great walk into Thomas. The house was clean and welcoming. You have to try out the claw-foot tub!

We really enjoyed our stay here.The house is much larger than it seems. We loved the cozy fireplace and the sight of deer outside our window every morning. The proximity to Canaan Valley was a great advantage. We highly recommend this place!

There is no hot tub or jacuzzi tub and the furnace is very noisy. The house was great and the river across the road was great

Great getaway

Lovely place with a spacious yard for our dogs to play/lounge after hiking the area. Enjoyed ourselves a lot!

Family fun

If you're looking for a very cozy and clean place to stay this is it. Very comfortable for six people and the location was amazing. Very much enjoyed our stay and looking forward to staying there again.

This is our second stay here. Great place and great location. If you like to cook, and we do, the kitchen is pretty well stocked. The house is very dog friendly. The fireplace is wonderful. We will definitely return. Tip- get firewood from Shop and Save (larger, dry pieces) versus end of the road stand (very small pieces that are wet and moldy).

Dream Vacation!

Wonderful place. The location is ideal. Walking distance to both the nice little town of Thomas one way down a river path and water falls the other direction. Easy drive to Blackwater Falls and everything else this hiker's paradise has to offer. Would definitely come back here again.
