Spectacular Mountain and Ocean views from every room in the house! Over 300 feet of Ocean Frontage....waves crashing into the living room!

This modern beach house features state of the art chef’s kitchen with stainless steal sub-zero refrigerator and freezer drawers, 6 burner stove with grill, double oven and oversized granite island/dining bar. Home has a spacious, open, California style floor plan. Home features an open living/dining room with a wood burning lime stone fire place, family room, separate screening room with oversized wet bar and poker table, office, master suite opening onto private custom designed mosaic pool and hot tub, 2 guest rooms with full bathrooms in suite, sauna, and powder room.

Home is furnished with custom imported furniture designed by renown SF Interior Design firm. Home was recently featured in various home and architectural publications, and was also used as a movie set and backdrop for fashion magazine photo shoots.

Former home of Jefferson Airplane lead singer Grace Slick. Grace personally designed the spectacular mosaic pool.

A home ON the Pacific Ocean

My family and I stayed at this property over Christmas holiday, during a Pacific storm - thus, I am not sure our stay was typical.This property is right ON the surf. At high tide, one cannot skirt between the foundation of the house and the ocean. I have video of the ocean splashing OVER the second floor balcony at high tide. At low tide, the surfers access their lauch spots via the breaker wall of the home itself.Most times of the year, this property is a great stay for everyone. The two non-master bedrooms are on the lower floor with window facing out to the ocean. All the appliances worked perfectly - it is clear that extrodinary effort was placed on updating and remodeling this property. The hottub worked perfectly. We had want for nothing.For our particular story... the stormy waters and high breakers at high tide were scary to say the least! There were times when I dared not open the door to the balcony. There were times when the breakers were so loud against the foundation/breaker wall that I thought "man we should have done Christmas in Arizona!" Once I realized (after a good walk around the property) that the pool did not slosh, there were no cracks anywhere to be seen, and the house had been stable for 100-ish years, we all relaxed and had a great time, enjoyed the elements... outside the house!This is a beautiful property in a very unique location. The town of Bolinas is quaint. Civilization is at least 30 minutes away. Perfect!

Perfect Seaside Hideaway!

Traveling a lot, I have hardly seen a beachside house, which is that close to the pacific ocean! At high tide the waves are splashing the windows at the 1st floor! Thus, the view couldn’t be better! The pool is great to have and the house is well equipped! We enjoyed it a lot and the owners are very nice and easy to get in touch if needed! We definitely plan to return!

Bolinas oceanfront

Spectacular view location, luxurious accommodation with a courteous host. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, nice hot tub, sauna and media room - a short walk to the center of Bolinas. A little run down in places, could use a bit of TLC, but overall very charming.

Breathtakingly beautiful home and views, right on the ocean

I spent my 40th birthday here for 4 nights and it was the most stunning location right on Bolinas Beach with a huge acreage of land, pool, hot tub, grass, outdoor tables and lounge chairs and umbrellas. And inside the house is very clean and modern. The master bedroom and bath are on the main level. Downstairs are two bedrooms that have views looking out at the ocean with en suite bathrooms. There's a large bonus room downstairs too with a poker table, giant tv and comfy couches. There's a loft space too that is open air above the kitchen/living room with two twin beds and a desk area. The sound of waves crashing literally at the base of the house below you is magnificent.and it only takes about 3 minutes to walk into Bolinas for coffee or groceries, cute shops, and music entertainment. It was a spectacular oasis in the world and I would return again and again.

Wonderful view!

We had a great time enjoying the beautiful view of the ocean. The pool is so pretty, but very cold and not heated which was disappointing to our teens. The great ocean air has taken a toll on this house in places, but it is still quite comfortable and enjoyable. Good communication with the owners/care takers. Overall, a wonderful place to enjoy the ocean!

Wonderful Beach Setting

We had an amazing time visiting this property. Right on the water at Bolinas, you are literally on the beach the whole time. The indoor/outdoor living scenario was wonderful for our group. Everyone immensely enjoyed their stay.

Needs better maintenance

For the rent charged, the house was in poor shape. Windows and doors off centered, kitchen cabinets that didn’t work, unhedged swimming pool. Location fantastic, but not an excuse for not doing routine maintenance.

Bolinas Getaway!

The time away was needed and property was incredible. All the features needed for a great time were there. However the proximity to the water was stunning. I would recommend it to anyone !!

The label "Spectacular Ocean Front Home" is very accurate-- it is THE beachfront home in Bolinas.

As a few of the reviews have stated, some of the rooms and furnishings are a little tired and funky, but that is what you should expect in Bolinas, especially given the very close proximity to the harsh weathering effects of the ocean, not to mention the local culture. This home is very well equipped and a great layout for a gathering of family and/or friends. We had two young children who loved the many toys, books and large play spaces. The views from the primary living area, kitchen and decks are absolutely spectacular and the very expansive outdoor entertainment spaces are incredible. The two downstairs guest bedrooms almost make you feel like you are on a boat because of the close proximity to the ocean, especially at high tide when the waves literally spray the windows. Because we were there for a large family wedding, we visited a number of other rental homes in the Stinson Beach area and this was, far and away, the best of all of them.

Cool in its day needs some TLC. Yuckyvcarpet in master bathroom and lots of cob webs.

This home was very cool in its day. We didn’t think it was maintained well enough to charge the rate we paid. The home is right on the beach great views with cob web filled glass. De-webbing is needed. The master bath would be much better if the yucky carpet was removed and shower re-tiled. The place needs some work but the beach location is great.

Paradise on the Pacific

The ocean, the beach,the mountains the views from every room,, the cute friendly little town, are a perfect back drop to this perfect house. Easy casual California vibe, fabulous kitchen, modern bathrooms, multi level patios, tiled pool. what more can you ask for? Cant wait to return.

Amazing location

This house is on the main road through Bolinas that leads to the ocean, and is as close to the sea as it can be without being underwater. Staying in this house is like staying on a giant stationary ship. The ocean waves crash against the front of the house. The downstairs bedrooms provide an amazing opportunity to view the waves from the comfort of a bedroom or even a bathtub. The views are mesmerizing. It’s hard to do anything in this house other than gaze at the ocean. This house would be especially great for people who love the ocean but cannot easily spend time on the beach. Every bedroom has its own lovely bathroom—it was hard to choose which room to stay in. The steam shower and hot tub were awesome. The pool was too cold to swim in, but my nephew had fun going in there with his wetsuit on, and the pool is beautiful. While the house is not child proofed, it is child-friendly, with an ample supply of toys and lots of outdoor space to play. The caretaker was friendly and helpful, and the owner was responsive and easy to communicate with. Bolinas is indeed a hidden gem with a great grocery co-op and an artsy bohemian feel. On the path to the beach someone wrote "For many of us, this place is sacred space." I felt that. I would consider myself lucky to get to return to this special house with my family next year.

Wonderful relaxing retreat

This house is amazing. The most spectacular part is clearly the location and the amazing patio where you can lounge and watch the waves roll in, the surfers on the water, and the local wildlife including birds and seals. You can watch the sunset from the hot tub with a nice glass of wine or enjoy a refreshing swim in the pool. We definitely enjoyed our stay! Bolinas is a cute cozy little town that is removed from the hustle and bustle of the city and has excellent access to the amazing trails at Point Reyes, Muir Woods and Muir Beach. We took full advantage of the many excellent outdoor activities readily available. There are local shops and restaurants (no big box or chain stores here) with local fare. The house has all of the amenities you could need. We appreciated the outdoor shower after our treks through the woods and the ocean views from the open concept kitchen/dining/living areas are amazing. The master had a comfortable bed and a shower with dual showerheads. The kitchen had everything we needed, however, we didn’t do any extensive cooking as we enjoyed the local restaurants. We enjoyed the surround sound throughout the house. There’s also a TV in almost every room, but we didn’t really watch TV given the amazing ocean views that held our attention. Booking the property was a breeze. Keri is wonderful; very prompt and easy to interact with. We received our deposit refund almost immediately upon our arrival home. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat on the ocean!

Spectacular all the way around !

I'm not even sure where to begin...The house is very special. We just had no idea when we rented it just how special it was. We live in Chicago and I knew that we just wanted to spend time looking out at this view every day. The house was immaculate with simple and clean decor. Everything that you need for your stay was provided. We enjoyed the amazing views all week. My view washing dishes was no comparison to my home one. We managed to spot the visiting sea lion a number of times a day as he visited the surfers. We watched the numerous surfers sunrise to sunset with their loyal dog companions. The art of rinsing and changing car side is wonderful to see as you walk down the vehicle lined street into town to grab a coffee and THE BEST BLUEBERRY MUFFINS and breakfast burritos that you have ever tasted.e We quickly got into a relaxing routine for our stay. Everyone slept soundly to the waves and the ocean air. Everyone one that we met in town were lovely. The caretakers of this home were friendly and take care of this home like their own. We are ready to move! Cell service is sporadic. We eventually learned to disconnect and the memories of my husband making work calls walking down the street to the first pole, not moving a muscle or hiking to the highest point of the property to make a business call was quite humorous. He had no complaints working from the dining table all week though. I highly recommend this home. We cannot wait to return!
