especially considering the location in one of
the most coveted neighborhoods in the Bay
Area, or really, anywhere. Meticulously
clean, tasteful interior spaces, and tranquil
outdoor spaces that encourage relaxation
(the hammock was a big plus). Parking is a
snap right next to the entry. Extremely safe
location near the upscale restaurants and
shops of downtown Los Altos. Great vibe
and super communication with the owners.

Wonderful place so close to Stanford

We had a great week staying at Joanna and Mikes place. Very comfortable and close to Los Altos Hills neighborhood which is great for shopping and dining.

Beautiful guest house

Perfect in every way. Beautiful furnishings, super cozy and comfortable bed and kitchen had everything we needed. Easy drive to Stanford Hospital where we had an appointment. We will be back in December for a week long stay. Looking forward to another wonderful stay at Joanna and Mike’s beautiful property.

Quick and easy drive to Stanford hospital. Great place to recover as the neighborhood is nice and quiet. Nice walking trails in area.

Great, short stay!

We loved the quiety neighborhood setting of this property. Just the right size for the two of us. Beds were comfy (as well as cute!) We were easily able to connect to wifi and roku tv. Thanks for having us!

Beautiful garden

The apartment is a private, fully stocked, well designed unit with sky high picture windows overlooking charming garden area. Serene drive to the house under arching canopy of trees. We were in town for Stanford alumni reunion. Stayed 5 days. Enjoyed proximity to university.

Lovely Los Altos

Beautiful home in a nice neighborhood. Easy access to walking trails, downtown Los Altos and short drive to Stanford University. Thank you Joanna for a wonderful stay and will certainly rent again!

Great location

We enjoyed the little cottage in a wonderful setting for walking and enjoying the countryside, yet close in to many towns in the Bay Area. The host was super easy to communicate with, and helpful. It was a lovely reunion with my friend from Texas.

Beautiful and peaceful neighborhood

The guest house was perfect for our stay, while my husband had a medical procedure done at Stanford Hospital. It was quiet, and peaceful, and a beautiful neighborhood for walking.

Peaceful, beautiful, tranquil guest home

Joanna is a gracious host. We were here for a month and felt so at peace . The guest home is lovely and we felt right at home. Easy access to restaurants and stores. A very special place!

Location, Location, Location…

This apartment was very tasteful and functional. We had plenty of room for myself, my husband, and our daughter. The gardens and patio were beautiful, with plum trees that you could eat, although it was so hot we didn’t get to spend time there. Easy walk to downtown Los Altos where we discovered a new favorite restaurant. There was a cute Fourth of July parade in downtown Los Altos and walking trails all around. Super relaxing stay! Exactly what we were craving coming back to the Bay Area!

Wonderful visit!

We spent 3 days in Los Altos visiting friends. The house was comfortable and very well equipped. The directions were clear and the owner quickly responded to questions. The house is a short drive from downtown Los Altos and is 20 -30 minutes from Stanford and the Baylands Wildlife Refuge (where we saw lots of shorebirds).

Luxury, Peaceful and Conveniently Located

Los Altos Hills is beautiful and close to Stanford, shopping and hiking trails. Joanna’s home sits in a flower wonderland and her home is clean and comfortable. We were in town meeting our first grandson and her home suited us perfectly. We had the pleasure of meeting Joanna and Mike and they are most gracious hosts.

Nice location

House is small with limited sitting space and no dining table. Rooms and bathroom were nice. The kitchen had ants which became an increased problem as the visit continued

Idyllic setting in a beautifully appointed wing of a lovely home

The cottage like wing of this home was completely private, set in a gorgeous natural wooded area of Los Altos. The 2 bedrooms were spacious with very high ceilings, arched windows and especially comfy beds. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything one could possibly need and living/dining room was a welcome refuge after a day out and about. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the best, it was a 10+.

Convenient Location

Upscale property in forested neighborhood. Near to major highways and downtown Los Altos. Lacks dining table…had to eat off folding card table. Nice bedrooms but no dressers. Pleasant and helpful hosts.

Jo is a superb host!

We had a great stay with Jo. She welcomed us with an early check-in that helped a lot. She graciously remembered Perry’s birthday with a card and gift-so kind. She gave us great advice on how to enjoy the neighborhood. We especially enjoyed her beautiful and comfortable outdoor spaces. Our bed was comfy, and the neighborhood quiet for sleeping. We highly recommend this property.

Amazing!!

There are no words to describe how wonderful Joanna and Mike are! Their home is just as beautiful as them! The home is perfectly located, right in the middle of the Bay Area. They were always willing to help with all the Bay Area had to offer! We enjoyed our stay so much we didn’t want to leave. I would stay at their home again in a heartbeat!! Cozy gem in a quiet upscale neighborhood

This is a beautiful, bright, cozy, outhouse home in a quiet up scale neighborhood. The apartment is bright and the high ceilings give it a very airy feel. The beds in both the well sized bedrooms were comfortable. We did not cook in the cozy kitchen, although it seemed to be adequately equipped. The bathroom was clean with a tub. There is a well equipped outdoor space in a quiet big yard. There is a TV placed on the center table in the living room with Roku, although the set-up is not ideal for family watching together. I also do not recall seeing a formal dining table although there is a nice office desk and chair in the living room near the mantel piece. The location is unique - it feels like it is miles away from the hustle bustle although the amenities and other towns are just a few miles away. One thing to note is that it is quite dark at night on the roads due to lack of streetlights. All in all, it was a lovely experience.

No hot water!

The location of this stay was wonderful due to its close proximity to Stanford. We did experience an issue during our stay. No hot water! Of course we didn't notice until right before we were leaving for the day when we went to take showers. Also the water pressure is a small trickle coming out of a very small sad shower head. Maybe the owner forgot to turn on the hot water? Of course we could have addressed it with the owner but we're gone all day and evening leaving early the next morning, so we just let it go.
