La Figuière
Just 7 km from the seaside resort of Veules-les-Roses, in a little corner of paradise right in the heart of the Pays de Caux, we are renting out our vacation home. A charming, renovated thatched cottage with approximately 160 m² of living space that can accommodate 6 people plus a baby.
The decor is tasteful and reflects a warm, contemporary lifestyle. On the first floor: A large dual-purpose living room with a fireplace and a dining area featuring exposed beams; a spacious, fully equipped kitchen with a dining table; a small hallway leading to a shower room equipped with a washer/dryer; a separate toilet, a bedroom with a desk and a double bed, and a TV area with a wooden staircase leading to the first floor. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms: one measuring 25m² with a double bed and a sofa bed, and the second bedroom with a double bed and a shower room.
A crib is available upon request.
If interested, there is a studio with a double bed and a sofa bed that can also be rented (price available upon request). It is located on the first floor of the outbuilding across from the cottage.
Outside: a first terrace for barbecuing and dining under the trees; a second, sheltered wooden terrace with a small Balinese-style seating area is nestled on one side of the house and overlooks the sun-drenched garden, perfect for relaxing, archery, or a game of badminton…. All set on a lot of approximately 2,000 m².
Car parking available. Bicycles welcome.
Beaches are less than a 10-minute drive away, with many activities available: Shrimp fishing at low tide with a view of the famous cliffs along the Normandy coast, sailing schools in Saint-Valery-en-Caux and Veules-les-Roses, and kitesurfing on the large sandy beach at Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer, stand-up paddleboarding, windsurfing, cycling along the “Route du Lin,” hiking on the GR 21 and other trails…. A golf course is a 5-minute walk from the house, and there are other golf courses nearby (Dieppe, Étretat…).
Discover the French heritage in the surrounding area: our house is a former farmhouse located in Ermenouville, a small village of 130 residents featuring a golf course and two castles—one of which is open to the public and boasts a magnificent rose garden and vegetable garden. There are plenty of charming villages nearby to visit….
Stock up on local products: markets in the surrounding area… Luneray, Sainte Marguerite-sur-Mer, Veules-les-Roses, St. Valéry-en-Caux, Fécamp, Dieppe… or directly at the farm or from the fishermen and oyster farmers along the coast!!!
A bakery, a grocery store, and a farm-to-table shop are all less than a 5-minute drive away in neighboring villages… and can also be reached by bike in under 10 minutes.
