We had a wonderful stay here. Although the river was too high for swimming and fishing during our visit, we still had an amazing time exploring and enjoying the beautiful wildflowers. The property is well-maintained, comfortable, and stocked with everything you could need.

We LOVED the house and everything about it. The setting is magnificent and peaceful. The house itself was immacuate and contained everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. We especially enjoyed the screened-in front porch, which provided for many hours of visiting and reminicing. We loved the house so much, in fact, that we've already booked another stay next Spring (and perhaps several more after that!)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property on the Llano River. The setting is relaxing and we especially enjoyed watching the abundance of birds and rabbits on the property. The host was friendly, responsive, and readily available when we had needs. Because the property is in the country, expect to encounter insects and sandburs(stickers), but that is simply part of the natural environment and did not take away from our enjoyment. We plan to return in the future!

This place is everything you need to get away from the busy life. Came with my in-laws had 3 kids with us. They loved the walks to the river, picking flowers and watching all the wildlife. This place is the whole package. Even had kitchen items we forgot to bring. We will definitely be recommending and hopfully be back soon. The river was a perfect spot to sit on a rock or swim. Great place.

This home is a must. It is the perfect getaway,a real treasure. The kitchen has great appliances the bedrooms are nice and spacious. The screened in porch is the best. Karen is one of the best host I have encountered. Thank you Karen

We met up with our adult children at La Casa Roja in Llano. We had a fantastic stay. Karen answered any questions quickly and even helping us to find a nearby place to play pickleball (Pickle Haus in Fredericksburg). The home was clean and inviting. The kitchen was very well stocked, plenty of pots and pans, which made cooking easy. The property itself is beautiful. While drinking our morning coffee we all enjoyed watching the birds and the butterflies in the trees and bushes off the porch. We could also see the river from the porch. The view at the river was gorgeous. Sitting on the swing by the river, in the shade of the trees, was our favorite. We all agreed we hope to return soon. We also rented two Kayak's while we were there from the Castell Land Company. It is just couple of miles down the road; pick them up and bring them back to the place. They have both 8' and larger boats. Great fun.

Quiet weekend getaway

We were in the area for an event and needed a comfortable place to stay with our family….we were not disappointed. Beautiful location and access to the river. The house was roomy and very comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.

July 4th

We had a great time! Nice peaceful getaway, great screened in porch, great house for two couples with kids.Definitely on our list for repeat vacations.

Excellent stay. Last minute decision to spend Christmas near hill country. The home was clean, well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Plenty of space for a family of 5 plus an 80lb german shepherd. Easy river access, wooden swing for reading, used the grill and ate in the screened in sunporch. Nice and secluded. Property has a gate, that needs an access code to get in, nice added security. Would definitely come back here.

Favorite hill country getawat

We love this property and have stayed several times. It’s our favorite quick getaway from Austin. Very peaceful and restful. (Do be cautious with very young ones - lots of spiny or stinging flora or fauna in the country - littles cannot be outside unsupervised.)

Natures paradise

Thank you for having a most wonderful place to come and unwind from the hustle of life. It is paradise inside and out. The kitchen was especially nice and stocked with everything you would need. The appliances are exceptional. A10 experience Hope to see you again soon.

Beautiful Llano river

Nice riverside home with everythjng you need for a great stay. The property was very nice even with the river being low from the drought, I can only imagine how it will be when the Hill country gets their much needed rain
