Bedroom 8 - The Big Creek Lodge


Bedroom 8 is a King room in the The Big Creek Lodge on the 350 acre resort property of Luna's Trail Farm and Event Center. Guests will enjoy beautiful views of Hanging Rock and Pilot Mountain from their private balcony. This room includes a sitting area and a walk in shower, as well as a private balcony. Our restaurant is available Friday Lunch - Sunday Breakfast.

The room is upstairs on the 2nd floor, and unfortunately we do not have an elevator, so guests would need to be able to climb the stairs, but there's a nice view at the top!

There is an event center on the first floor of this building, so please ask ahead as to whether an event would affect your stay.

Beautiful lodge and setting

We loved this out of the way quaint lodge. We were only there one night so really didn’t get to enjoy the surroundings. Breakfast was very good and really reasonable prices.

We loved our stay at the lodge. The property is beautiful and the room was perfect. Nice size, very clean, beautifully decorated. The location is perfect to check out the cute surrounding towns, pilot mountain, hanging rock state park, and Jolo Vineyard. The restaurant at the lodge was AMAZING. The chefs are incredible - from the sautéed shishito peppers to the fresh made biscuits - THANK YOU! We cannot wait to come back for another perfect getaway.

Enjoyed the Stay

The room was nice and large. We enjoyed our stay and the accommodations. The balcony had a lovely view- especially of the full moon the night we were there. A few tips: - There are 30 stairs to get to the room (no elevator). This is mentioned in the description, so we weren’t surprised. - Bring your own pillows. The pillows aren’t great. We wish we had our own. - The restaurant downstairs was good and had good service. It’s nice to grab a convenient meal there. - The location and property are nice.

Clean room. Very quiet. Great view. Restaurant food was great. All needs outside of on site amenities were just a few minutes away (gas station 6 minutes/Pilot mountain 15 minutes)

Excellent room, beautiful view, amazing aesthetic, great food

My husband and I stayed here for the first night of our honeymoon road trip from NC through WV. We stayed in room 8, and really enjoyed the experience. We had a beautiful view from our balcony, and saw wild turkeys under pilot mountain in the sunset. The aesthetic of the room and the lodge in its entirety was superb. We had a few drinks and dinner the restaurant which was nice, before calling it a night. The next morning we took a nice walk on one of the properties many trials before heading out for our road trip towards New river gorge. Bed was comfortable and all amenities were appreciated. I would love to come back and stay a whole weekend.

Nice couples getaway

Nice place as described on site. Friendly owners & staff. Good food & relaxing atmosphere. Walked over to check out the farm animals nearby. Terrible weather ruined hiking plans but took in stride. Nearby JOLO vineyard worth the trip. Definitely plan on coming back

Wonderful country getaway

Every aspect of the stay exceeded our expectations. The food was deliciously unique, but the staff made our trip perfect. They were very attentive, and were willing to accommodate however we needed. We will definitely be returning to stay again. Thank you all for such an amazing getaway.

Biking in mountains

The Inn was a great find, rooms are very nice just as the photos showed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Thanks for a nice weekend!
