After the fire that destroyed our old funky home on the South Shore, we built a new waterfront home. It has a main floor deck with a stunning view of Olympic Mountain, and an upper deck that overlooks three upper-floor bedrooms. We replace othe extra-large hot tub with an artesian well water system before your stay. You can enjoy fresh oysters and clams on the beach, and keep an eye out for seals, otters, and eagles. The sandy beach stretches out 200 yards at low tide, leading to eel grass beds that are home to crabs and baitfish. The summer water temperature reaches the 70s, and we have a float dock, gas fireplace inside, and a firetable on the deck. We also provide a rowboat, 7 kayaks, a canoe,. We supply firewood for the waterside fire pit, and there are plenty of flowers in the very peaceful, fenced yard. There’s parking for eight cars, and pets are welcome.

This is a terrific location for a family reunion or friend retreat. The view and deck are amazing, and the common area is spacious and comfortable. Additionally, the first floor and deck are fully wheelchair accessible. We had a terrific visit!

Perfect last minute get together for our big family. Lots of elbow room and beautiful setting an water view. The property had everything we needed.

we’re glad you had a nice stay with your family. i hope your 4 kids got out on the water with our kayaks. we now have 7 kayaks plus a rowboat and canoe. the water will start warming up soon and by mid may will be tolerable for swimming and snorkeling and by june will be in the 70s

11/10 experience! Ample amenities, well stocked kitchen, and plenty of space. Clammed right out front of the home with instructions provided by host. Would stay again!

We had a fantastic final summer weekend celebrating my 50th birthday with a group of friends. The house and property were perfect for us. We loved that it's clearly a beloved family vacation home which is rented out when they aren't using it, not an absent investor property. Charlie was easy to communicate with and was gracious enough to give us a very late checkout. We were lucky with beautiful weather that allowed us to get out on the water and to sit around the firepit and on the decks. (Most of the kayaks had a weight capacity that we exceeded--they seemed more for youth--but there were a couple that worked for us, as well as the rowboat.) The hot tub was a great place for stargazing. Kitchen was very well stocked. Downstairs has 2 bedrooms: one with king size bed which connects to the common bathroom, and one with queen size bed with en suite bathroom. Both downstairs bathrooms have walk-in showers. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, each with a queen bed and a door onto the deck, and 1 shared bathroom with tub and bidet. Laundry room is also upstairs, and plenty of beach towels, bath towels, and bedding were provided. Although our group didn't include kids or folks with accessibility needs, the house is ADA-accessible and would be a dream for kids--we all noted these features for possible future use. Our corgi loved running around the fenced yard. Note there was a $30/night pet fee that isn't mentioned in the listing, but is perfectly reasonable. We hope to stay here again!

I'm originally from East Wenatchee and love going to Lake Chelan. but they tore down the orchards and there are so many people chasing around on their boats that when I discovered the peaceful Hood canal and surprisingly the very warm water -I fell in love. I love to travel in adventurous places which includes the arctic circle, the Guatemalan Jungles, the Peruvian Highlands etc but relaxing at my summer home and snorkeling in the warm waters with my grandkids, teaching them how to fish - this is what I now enjoy.

Waking up to views of the Olympics and sound of songbirds or the slap of the tails of a seal as they roll off our floating dock, and a hot cup of coffee - well it is hard to beat. And in summer the flower gardens bring in the hummingbirds. Then when the tide goes out we go out and get a bucket of clams, a bunch or oysters or mussels pick up some sand dollars to paint, maybe snorkel in the eel beds, catch a few crabs, - no lack of things to do. The grand kids love to find interesting things on the beach, like sea slugs, moon snails, periwinkles, miniature crabs or watch the little minnows skittling thru the slow creek.

Our large main deck, 1000' has room for everyone to lounge around , but the upper deck gives a truly expansive view of the waterfront and is a chance to get a little seclusion if it gets too buys on the man deck. We strive to make your stay convenient, so we have extra propane tanks for the fire pit and the barbecue grill, and the blackstone griddle. I also buy a cord of firewood with extra fire starters and cedar so you are set for the firepit on the seawall to make smores or just relax with the fire going and watching the shooting stars or the northern lights.
