Spectacular stay

Over all a beautiful home with an amazing view and great peaceful location we enjoyed the canal we caught fish and relax next to the water. We will definitely rent this home again. The host was very welcoming and very helpful. Responded quickly

Perfect getaway

Our stay was amazing this was a perfect location. We fished and hung out at the beach. The walk to the beach and bay was close. We caught tons of fish. Charles is great to work with. The house keeper gave us some ideas to take the kids and they loved it. We will be back soon.

Completely Perfect

We were celebrating the life of our son who recently tragically passed. We wanted to hold something on the beach for our closest family. With rain coming so often these days, we searched for a place on our son’s favorite beach that would be the perfect place in case it rained. The beautiful large home faces a canal that leads straight to Christmas Bay. On the opposite side of the home, a small road leads just several houses down directly to the beach/ocean. The best of both worlds. Charles is a fantastic host. Communication was very easy & timely. The home itself couldn’t have been more lovely. Spacious kitchen w/a large island to prepare food. 11 of us slept very comfortably. We would love to return and are already trying to set that up. Thank youCharles!

Beautiful view

We enjoyed our stay. There were things that were wrong but the owner took care of most of them and is handling the rest. Great communication and a beautiful home. Over all it was a great home with breath taking views.

Perfect for us!

The location was perfect! Able to crab and fish at the house and bay. Bought a pass to be able to park our car on the beach which meant no dragging all our stuff across the sand. There was plenty of space - our group of 9 never felt like we were on top of each other but we had ample space to eat and hang out. We will choose this house again.

Great location!

Wonderful location and a beautiful home! The house had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was well stocked, and we had plenty of room to prepare meals each day. We spent majority of our time fishing in the canal and the bay, plus enjoying the beach which was minutes away. The outside area was wonderful. Our stay was relaxing and peaceful and we hope to return next year!

Great Place

House was super clean and in a great location. We had a problem with the upstairs AC unit and even though it was Sunday night, July 3rd the maintenance guy came and took care of it in a prompt manner. Boat slip behind the house is great but make sure your boat can run shallow. My 22' pathfinder couldn't get out of the canal into the bay at low tide. So your boat will need to run in 1' or less. You can't blame the homeowner for this, just something to be aware of if you are brining a boat.

Family Christmas

7 Adults, 5 kids (2-8), 3 dogs. Great location and set up for our family. Short walk to the beach. Crabbing with the kids right under the house. Room for the dogs to play. I'm sure the fishing is good judging from all the kayaks & wade fishermen in the bay.

Thanksgiving Family Holiday 2021

Awesome property, Great accommodations and location. mWeather kind of sucked but other than that it was a spectacular Thanksgiving. Crabbing was good in the channel and great in the nearby bay. Wade and kayak fishing in Christmas Bay was excellent when the weather permitted. Owner was extremely courteous and great at communications! Would definitely stay here again, though maybe a little earlier in the year.

Plac was awesome Good not ask for a better house or location. Teenagers had a blast fishing crapping playing at the beach One downside one bathroom was not clean. Overall will rent again Thanks to the owners

Not impressed

Started off when I double checked our reservation for bed sizes and realized that one of the bedrooms had been changed to an office a week before vacation and I was not notified. When I messaged charles I was assured that he would put back a queen size bed downstairs. When one of my guests rolled off the bed I found out that they had put a full size foam over a futon, this caused an overhang with no support. Additionally, I was then informed that the is no difference in size between full and queen. The refrigerator was nasty, dried and spilled food, and a wad of black hair inside. The ac filter did not look like it had ever been replaced. Floors had not been swept, I was told it is hard to get help there and my messages were sent to the cleaning people. Although Charles seemed helpful, he really didn't do anything except make excuses. I would not recommend this house for a family vacation

summer vacation 2021

The property was nice and had plenty of room. We had a few incidents that you should address - the bottom step at the 1st landing needs a light. My dad fell & hurt his shoulder, hand & wrist, and several of us almost fell too. A board on the dock area was rotted out (not screwed down) & my boy stepped on it and it flipped him into the water & cut his foot. TV's in all bedrooms would be ideal. No trash cans downstairs & no dumpster is a thumbs down. The sink on bottom level in kitchen was stopped up. The shower curtain in main area kept falling down. Did not catch many fish in bay or canal, that was sad. lol. Kitchen was stocked good and appreciated. Beautiful home. Check out at 10am is too early. Besides all the above - had a great time with family and enjoyed the stay. Thank you!

2nd stay for Family Vaca

We loved this property the 1st time so we rented it again! There is so much room and we are a family of 16! The only bad we had was the toilet downstairs. It took an extremely long time for the tank to refill. We loved fishing from the pier and kayaking down the canal & beyond! We would sure rent again! This house is a must-rent!!

Love it

This house is awesome!!! Very clean inside, plenty of space. The owner Charles answered any questions we had promptly... I was visiting with me and my 4 brothers, their wives some kids and grands. Everyone had a blast. Highly recommend this house.... Very private be sure to bring your own wifi hot spot. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen and living space was great, and the views were spectacular... Again an awesome House

Nice place for fishing and family get together

We really enjoyed this trip. Easy to get access to the building and inside was clean and nice also lots of space in kitchen and all other areas. Just one thing like to let you know please check down stairs (kitchen and Bedroom floor) AC unit we feel hot most of the time. Maybe we open doors continues ,not sure.Upstairs was fine.We enjoyed a lot thanks for letting us to stay your place.

Boat access from your private dock to Christmas Bay, Bastrop Bay, Intercostal Canal, West Bay, San Luis Pass, and the Gulf of Mexico. It offers the beach and the bay right next to each other. Boat ramp 100 feet from the house. Catch Redfish, Trout, Flounder and Crabs.
