Relaxing and peaceful

It was a very relaxing and peace stay. Loved the views and Hot Tub. Perfect for what we were wanting.

Fabulous stay, great location, fabulous hosts

Great unit in a central location. Well appointed rooms with a fully equipped kitchen. Quiet location with direct access to lake, use of swimming and spa pools. Friendly hosts with gorgeous resident dog, Barney.

Lovely stay

The apartment was darling and well stocked with all the necessities. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. The dog on the property was super sweet and playful. We will definietly stay here again!

This property is quite spectacularly situated on the lake. The apartment was quite spacious and very well appointed. Nice bathroom. Unfortunatelt the weather was quite cool during our stay, so we didn't use the pool, although the hot tub was very nice.

The perfect host

We had a perfect stay, our host was very friendly and most helpful with local area tips. We were grateful to cool off in the swimming pool and, if you wanted, there were bikes and canoes available.

New years stay

Appartment was clean and spacious. Had everything we needed. Had access to pool and spa, kayaks and ebikes which was great. Our host Glendyr was lovely and gracious. We will definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Beautiful property. Very private and great location.

Loved our stay at this property. Close to good restaurants and activities. Property owner is lovely. Great communication. easy check-in. Wish we could have stayed longer to take advantage of the lake, hot tub and bikes :)

Slice of heaven

A lovely property right on the lakefront. Glendyr the owner was so friendly and happy to chat about the area. We had such a relaxing 2 nights.

Beautiful location and gardens

When we pulled in a lovely golden retriever was smiling at us through the glass, wagging her tail. We had a nice stay here and enjoyed meeting the owner. We were even able to get a Gonzaga basketball game on Sky TV!

Perfect

The property was beautiful, clean, and quiet. The pictures are true to the property & Glendyr couldn't have been nicer. The lake is right at the end of the property. Loved it and really a perfect central location if traveling northern New Zealand. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely superb

Everything was perfect - the spa, swimming pool, lake, location, amenities and size of the apartment. It's one of the best places we've ever stayed. Our host was wonderful and we would love to come back. 10 out of 10.

Wonderful Rental

We loved our stay at this lovely apartment. The location was beautiful and far enough away from Rotorua that you couldn't small the sulfur. The weather was rainy or else we would have taken advantage of the lake. I highly recommend this place.

Wonderful lake stay

Lovely clean and well-appointed apartment with plenty of amenities, including a Nespresso machine. A comfortable stay in a quiet neighbourhood. We appreciated the use of the spa pool after a busy day. Great communication from the owner. Thank you! We would love to stay again.

Quick stay in New Zealand

We had a three nights at Glendyr and Mike’s place in Rototua. Definitely an excellent experience. The geothermal activity is great, but it stinks of SO2. This location has no smell, it is right on the lake and the pool, and hot tub overlook the lake. Thanks to Glendyr, we opted for Waikite Valley Thermal spa (no smell); also go to J’s seafood for the mixed seafood takeout. Great hosts, roomy 2 bedroom with full kitchen and family room, very comfortable beds.

Beautiful lakeside property

We really enjoyed this property, which was situated right on the lakeside with some lovely amenities and very friendly fur babies! We were doing a whirlwind tour of the area, so we didn't stay in very much and some of the normal local attractions were closed. We also had rented a car and used the provided parking, which is very helpful as the property is a 5-10 minute drive from downtown (we prefer places that are a little further from town and quieter like this one). Our host was very friendly and helpful, and gave us some great suggestions for places to go and eat in the area. I definitely highly recommend staying here!

Sehr zu empfehlen

Wir waren 7 Naechte bei Glendyr und Mark, super nette Vermieter. Glendyr stand immer mit Rat und Tat an unserer Seite. Die Unterkunft war gross und gemütlich. In der Kueche fehlte es an nichts. Sogar Kaffee und Milch waren schon vorraetig. Die Lage am Rotoruaer See ist traumhaft. Die Kanus durften wir kostenfrei benutzen. Danke an Glendyr und Mark, dass wir hier schöne Tage verbringen konnten.
