Awesome retreat by the Lake

We totally enjoyed our time at the house, property was so clean and close to Rotorua and the awesome Okere Falls Store.Awesome to have a private jetty and get out on the kayaks as well as sit on the deck and watch the sun go down.

A fabulous setting which we loved. A fully kitted house, a comfortable bed and privacy. The view was wonderful even though you could see the cars on the opposite road. The road could be noisy but by the second day we no longer noticed it. Wonderful to be able to swim and kayak in the creek.

Property layout and amenities were all there and clean. Beautiful spot set amongst the bush and next to the lake. Would not suit aged individuals with impaired mobility but suited us just fine.

Such a lively spot and the jetty was super convenient for exploring the lake. Alec was always available by phone when we had questions. Would highly recommend.

Easy secure box check-in, the house was perfect for the two nights we stayed here. Everything is provided and very comfortable, and it's a very pretty spot overlooking the Lake. Unfortunately, we had bad weather for one day, but it didn't matter, we read books and played backgammon. The Okere Falls Cafe/Brewery is 5 minutes away and a great place for food, coffee and friendly staff. Highly recommend it.

Weekend Getaway

Wonderful spot for a weekend getaway.Lovely views across the water, with ample birdlife and a private jetty to just sit and be.An easy walk to the cafe, and close to Rotorua. Clean and fresh, easy comms with Host who left some firewood for those cold nights. Very enjoyable.

A relaxing get away

This is the second time we have stayed at this bach and we would probably go again. It is very comfortable, clean with everything you might need. In fact a home from home. We especially appreciated the freshly made up bed and towels set out when we arrived. Nothing to do except relax!

The ultimate lake experience

The best way to see lake Rotoiti and Rotorua in general, Rotoiti has sooooo much to offer and having your own jetty feels like something out of James Bond. The hosts are super lovely and helpful, the bach is really well set up and very cosy. Just had the best long weekend away. If you’ve got a boat this place is a must go to!

Lovely swim

Enjoyed the trees and the birds. Unpretentious, lovely kiwi bach. Good, well appointed kitchen, super comfortable beds, and a windy path to the jetty for a refreshing swim.just what we needed.

Comfortable Stay

My husband, daughter & I enjoyed our 3 night stay here. We loved having the wood burner going at night, purchased a bag of wood offcuts from Pack’n’Save which was plenty for our time there. Needed the reverse cycle a/c heater going in the morning as it got quite cold, especially in the bedrooms. I believe there were portable heaters, though we didn’t use them. Beds were comfortable and made well. Extra blankets.Amenities were plentiful in the kitchen.Didn’t need to use the separate laundry & bathroom downstairs. That’d be ideal though after swimming or boating on the lake. A few board games available, Smart Ass was fun. TV had Sky and other streaming services. An info folder about the house would be beneficial, on how things worked, bin collection days and such.
