Beautiful place and great location. It was a 1min walk to the beach, local dairy, cafe and a takeway. The accomodation suited our requirements for a long weekend away.

Gail and Andrew very welcoming and friendly.Gails communication was excellent.Gail made sure we knew where to obtain the best coffee in Mount .. right across the Road ! Best cafe “Special mention “ And left us to enjoy the comfortable lodgings.Great beach across the road and everything shops amenities are super handy. Great spot

Wonderful spot for a long weekend. We had nice weather, so we enjoyed sunrise walks on Arataki beach every morning and then coffee and breakfast at the cafe just down the block.Place was the perfect combo of clean but comfy so you could feel like you could relax, perfect for travelling with kids, and Gail and her family were friendly and very helpful with any questions.

This was such a lovely place to stay. Fabulous location with close access to beach yet quiet and private as well. The kitchen is well equipped for simple meals. The quirky layout and colourful artwork delightful. Gail and Andrew are great hosts.

A lovely place to stay and close to the beach with a lovely little cafe down the road. Spacious and clean in a lovely garden setting. Great and very friendly for our little dog too.

Holiday

Very clean and tidy. Close to the beach. The host was very nice and friendly. I would recommend if you’re looking for a place to stay that’s the place to stay. We were even allowed our dog on the premises. Thank you for having us.

Fantastic place to stay

Great family friendly spot! Fenced and gated meaning our dog and daughter could roam free. Just across the road from the beach and fantastic hosts. Look forward to staying again

iconic seaside bach

A really lovely property, but also very chilled out feeling. Hosts were very friendly and helpful, but unintrusive as well. They were so kind to all of us, including the dog. The decor is truly iconic - so many reminders of kiwi bach living. We highly recommend it.

Lovely place and great location

We had everything we wanted and needed. Local cafe and fishnchip shop, hot pools not far away, shopping mall a hop, skip and a jump, beach directly over the road. I would not hesitate to go again.

Great stay

Amazing location with fun stuff for kids to do. Awesome hosts that went above & beyond for us. Our fur baby enjoyed the stay too. Highly recommend & we will be back.

Lovely weekend

Totally met our expectations. Weather wasn't great but we were warm & comfortable. Very handy to beach and local malls. Place has a warm atmosphere and friendliness of hosts great.

Quaint and homely

It’s a couple of miles outside Mt Maunganui so a car is advisable. There’s a dairy very near, between a chip shop and a breakfast/lunch bar. It’s an easy walk to BayWave and a mall with numerous eateries. Inside the bach I’d hazard it’s best for a family with 2 small kids for the bunk-beds, and an older kid or another couple for the far double room, which is converted from a garage. The main double is pleasant and roomy. The WiFi isn’t strong enough to reach the sitting room and kitchen, both pleasant rooms, as is the bathroom with shower and bath.

Enjoyed our stay.

Amazing bach, was perfect for our visit and had everything we needed. Great location and a short walk over the road to the beach. Comfy beds and a great shower.

ONE LOVE 2024

amazing cosy bach was perfect 4 our weekend we drove 4hrs ova to the ONE LOVE FESTIVAL and it was so nice knowing we had our own place/space 2 go back 2 with hot showers and home comforts and 2 be able 2 chill out was great

My husband & I bought here as we love the area, lifestyle & being so close to the beach. My husband is a keen surfer & that probably had something to do with moving here !

Our bach is ground level. It has a very relaxed & casual feel to it. The lounge has french doors that open out onto the sunny deck with seating & looks out over the outdoor area & established garden. The property is fully fenced.
