Iconic Kiwi family bach directly across the road from beautiful Ahipara Beach with awesome views of Shipwreck Bay, Peaks surf break and 90 mile Beach. Large covered sheltered deck for chilling out at the end of the day, (extra summer time space for sleeping) watching the sun set with a glass of wine before dinner cooked on the BBQ.
Great surfing, fishing, diving, and seafood gathering. Safe sandy swimming beach with warm rockpools for the children to swim and enjoy.
Fishing charters, Quad bike hire and Cape Reinga Tours available and can be arranged. Please note: NO WiFi!
3 min drive to Links golf course, superette, takeaways, cafe, liquor store and Adventure Centre/Quad bike hire and horse treks.
Plenty of Parking, TV , CD , DVD and BBQ,
10 -15 mins to Kaitaia
20 mins to Airport.
Special conditions:
Please bring your own linen, tea towels and towels.
Linen is available in an emergency (if you forget your own) at an extra cost of $10.00 per set

A perfect relaxed batch with everything you need. Great location However the house needs a thoroughly good clean and some painting especially around window frames which have black mould. For the reasonable price I was happy to clean up after us but suggestions to clean the shower drain and consider cleaning windows are a bit much in my opinion.

Hi Sharron, I think there may have been a misunderstanding with your comment, and I just wanted to clarify that it isn’t quite accurate. The “suggestions” to do extra cleaning is a message to the Angus clan (clearly says so on the laminated sheet which you must have read). We do not expect paying guest to do extras, just to leave our family Bach as you found it. Sorry you felt the need to post this comment without clarifying with me first.

Really wonderful spot right by the beach with great outdoor area. Everything you need for a good stay. Just make sure you remember to bring linen!

Amazing view relaxing atmosphere

Beach front

Awesome place to kick back relax and unwind. Had everything we needed and totally enjoyed our stay. You can definitely tell the place is filled with good loving memories.

On the beach

Amazing location we could spend all day just sitting on the deck watching the ocean, great view of Shipwreck Bay and point, just a lovely spot, thank you for sharing.

Breathtaking veiws

Our stay was really great. The veiws were stunning all day and night. Hearing the ocean was soothing. The beach was right there and Restaurant only 500m away. Highly recommend.

Loved it.The view was the best....such a great start to the day.Was easy to get to the east coast and also down to tane mahuta.And no flies even when i was cooking with doors and windows open...what a bonus.Will definitely recommend

Perfect base

Great little spot as a base to travel all around the far north and sight see, has everything you need and nothing you dont, photos of the deck dont do it justice as its huge with the most amazing views and stunning sunsets. Highlights for us were spitits bay and the waitangi treaty grounds.

Everything we expected. Owner was super accommodating. Amazing view. Ocean was thundering away just across the road. Great setting, gorgeous morning walks along the beach. Thanks heaps.
