The perfect spot to enjoy our little slice of paradise. In summer fling the ranch sliders open and it's cool and airy. In winter choose between the cosy atmosphere of a log fire or convenience of the heatpump . Firewood is provided.
Super comfy beds with oversized duvets, electric blankets and plump pillows on all beds. Sheets and towels are provided.
Fully equipped cook's kitchen with all mod cons makes cooking for a family easy. Full size fridge/freezer and large pantry with loads of storage. Basic condiments are provided. Gas BBQ is available.
Great shower pressure with unlimited hot water and a large, deep bath for a relaxing soak after a hard day's skiing, biking or hiking. Master bedroom has ensuite. Both bathrooms have heaters and heated towel rails.
Large drying room gets a whole family's wet gear dry in just a few hours. Full laundry with large capacity washing machine and drier.
HD TV with Freeview, stereo and DVD player - we have a Sky satellite dish so take your decoder if you want to watch Sky. High speed internet is included (no data cap). Some board games, cards, puzzles and books available.
Special conditions:
No smoking, no pets. no parties.

Could this house live up to it’s great ratings? Yes, it can. Great location, clean, well stocked, comfortable beds and friendly hosts. We were so happy with the Ruapehu Retreat and would happily stay here again.

overall is pretty good,except for the 70cash that they want to charge us for cleaning which is we refuse because before we left we tidy up everything

The cleaning fee is noted several times in the property listing, and in the documents provided to our guests before check in, and covers a lot more than just tidying up before you leave. It’s part of the contract that our guests agree to when they rent our property. If you had concerns it would have been good if you had contacted us to discuss, rather than just “refusing to pay it”. I tried to call you today but you don’t have a phone number on your profile, so I had no option but to add it to your booking. We look forward to receiving payment so that we can pay our cleaner.

Very well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable living room. Very clean. Extensive information about the property and surroundings and the vast majority of it was accurate. The bed was comfortable. Considerate hosts. Location was ideal for visiting the park.

Great place to stay for Tongariro Crossing
Very comfortable and well equipped spot in a beautiful location. We loved the Crossing and were fortunate to get great weather for it, but also enjoyed shorter walks in the area as well as the brilliantly designed mini-golf nearby!

Definitely modern and very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is very well supplied with pantry basics plus every kitchen gadget needed. Thank you. We’ll stay again.

Nice place near Tongariro NP
Nice house as described in National Park near Whakapapa Village. The well equipped kitchen was greatly appreciated.

2 days for Tongariro
We had great access for exploring Tornagriro NP and a great place to come back to to relax, regroup, and dry out.

Warm, comfy, quiet, everything you need
The beds were comfy, the showers were hot, the kitchen was fully equipped, the location was great. We give this home 10 out of 10

Absolutely perfect house for our family, with every amenity we could possibly need, so well stocked! Excellent drying room! Perfect location. Loved it and we’ll definitely be back.

Loved the house and the location
Amazing location and everything you'd ever need for cooking or entertaining is already at the house. It rained every day we were there so we spent a lot of time inside and we found the entire house well stocked for everything we needed.

Excellent Holiday Home
Nice and Cosy house with all the amenities you would expect and a well equipped kitchen. Conveniently located in the National park village and closer to everything including Park n Ride.
