This was a great place to stay and relax, fish and visit with family! The owners were very kind and communicative, helpful with recommendations for local food and fun. We’d love to return in the future!

Awesome Lake House

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house! The property owner was so great to work with and so nice! Next time our big group comes back to visit, we will be rebooking this place!

We enjoyed the stay, Joe was very responsive on our queries. Location is fantastic, view is amazing, People who prefer to visit swamp tour this is ideal location. Also, if you decide just to relax and enjoy at the property is also good, nice pool, barbecue, space is really good for a large family of 8 or more. Kitchen had all the utensils needed. Will definitely recommend staying here, also in case we decide to visit again, will choose this place again without any hesitation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and spacious! The outside deck/pier were perfect for crabbing and fishing! The crabs weren’t running this particular weekend but the owner and his wife went out of their way to make sure we had crabs by running some of their own pots in pretty rough weather!! The views over Lake Poncharatrain were stunning! We will definitely be back ! The added bonus was the pool which kept the kids happy since the crabs weren’t running! The amenities were great to have for boiling crabs and grilling with the natural gas setup! Thanks again for sharing your lovely home!!!

Group Retreat

The house was lovely and it had so many amenities. Communication with Joe was great. We spent some time outside by the water in the heated pool and it felt like we were on vacation!

Pricey, yet amazing value for the money …

An amazing waterfront property that pleases the eye from the minute one steps in to the minute we stepped out.Our group had specific requirements - 10 adults, booking at short notice, a property that needed to be memorable. This property ticked all of this and more.Every part of the home and the waterfront is well maintained and in full working condition. The property felt luxurious and spacious for the 10 member group. The highlight was the waterfront & the library of WW2 books.pricey but completely worth it.

I knew the house got great reviews when I booked. I can see why. First off, the host was so communicative and knew we wanted to get blue crab while we were here, he even offered to let us get crab from his traps. No need though, the crabbing off the pier of the house was phenomenal. We had so much fun fishing as well. We used Drake with Victory Bay charters and it was the best fishing trip, even rated the best from our family that lives locally. Now for the house itself- it has a great layout and with 5 adults and 1 teenager we were all very comfortable. The fridge is large with high quality appliances. We watched the saltwater fish tank often- the starfish and eel were our favs. The lake views from the living room were phenomenal. The house comes well equipped with everything you need. The restaurants nearby have some of the BEST food (the blue crab, Phil’s, and Southside cafe). You will not be disappointed with the house, lake, and area in general.

On the lake

Our stay at Joseph’s beautiful house on the lake far exceeded our expectations for a quick trip. The pool was very refreshing on the hot days/nights. Everything that we could have needed was included. We felt very safe and comfortable in the neighborhood, especially with the kids in our group. We will definitely be back when we make our way to Louisiana again!

Beautiful home!

We started out with a hiccup, but the host Joe was quick to respond and help us to find the right location. We really enjoyed our stay on the lake! My family fished every chance they got! Love the pier!

Fantastic place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Communication with the host was easy and quick. The house is located in the perfect spot on the lake, yet not far from town and amenities. The house was extremely clean and the pool was a Godsend. We're looking for another excuse to go back for another stay!

AMAZING!!

This vacation was better than I even expected. My family and I were there for just shy of two full weeks. and I could have stayed so much longer. Our host, Joe, was beyond gracious. Even provided us with our first night's dinner. A FRESH CRAB BOIL!! Joe was readily available and immediately responsive with any issue that arose. The neighborhood was beautiful and the perfect location to be away from it all but close enough to see the sights and find entertainment. Sitting on that back porch watching the sun both rise and set each day was never a disappointment. Even when it rained, the lightening gave us quite a show. I would recommend this house and location to anyone and everyone who asked.

Perfect Location; Very Well Equipped House

This is a beautiful home in an ideal location! The house is the best equipped vacation rental I've ever stayed in and the kitchen had everything you need including all spices, paper products, Ziplocs, etc. Neighbors are friendly (and quiet) and the owner is very responsive prior to and during the stay. Do note there seems to be issues with VRBO's messaging system and be sure to use the owner email you get after booking for all further communication as our messages sent through the VRBO website itself were never received. Would absolutely stay here again!

The property was beautiful the host and his wife or prejudice against black people harassed us the

whole time lied on the introduction page saying that event was allowed and then when we get there they say that they didn't say that and said that it was in the house rules but you do not get the house rules until a hour before you check into the location after you've been book The Place months ahead of time the gentleman was very understanding but his wife was very rude just want anyone to know if they're looking to rent this place make sure you know all the details because they don't tell all or maybe just because the color of our skin we were handled that way could have been cleaner than what it was when we checked in deck and things was Dusty with cobwebs the back porch steps needs to be repair is very loose the pool deck feel like you can fall through it

Paradise

This house was amazing! I came for my birthday and had the best day ever!! It was truly one of the best days I have had in a while amidst this pandemic. It’s the perfect getaway in Louisiana. The hosts were incredible and even gave me batteries when I needed it. They check in on me at least 3 times throughout my visit. The house was super well kept and clean. Highly highly recommend it. Beyond expectations

The photos online really don’t do it justice. The home is absolutely stunning! You can feel the love the owners put into this house. You also have everything you need to cook your traditional Cajun foods. I’ve stayed at many places across the country and now this one is the only one I want to stay at.
