Absolutely loved our stay! Was perfect for our group of 10 for our annual ski trip. Would love to stay again if we got the chance, would definitely recommend!

Just like a few years before it was awesome. Big enough for our family and friends. Had everything we needed and more. One thing if you are big coffee drinkers like our family take your own mug. They have but it's small other than that everything was excellent! Thanks Jaenette it was really a pleasant stay once again! 10/10!

Such a great house for large groups! While it’s a small place, the design keeps things flowing well enough that no one is tripping over each other too much. Had a fantastic weekend!

Perfect Family Winter Holiday Accommodation

White Peak Lodge is the perfect place for large groups & families. It had all the amenities we needed. The fireplace made it cosy & warm. Plenty of living space for our family to relax after a day up at Whakapapa. The kitchen provided everything we needed to feed everyone! Highly recommended

Great for big gathering s. Everything you need in the kitchen. Probably a wee bit over priced. Absolutely need wifi. Enjoyed iur stay, would book again with wifi and a wee bit cheaper.

Was very cozy and homely, but were disappointed there was no wifi as sister needed it for tracking her diabtes. Also, the bbq was unclean. The beds were very comfortable.

We had a fantastic stay at Ohakune White Peaks Lodge! From the very beginning, communication with the host was seamless, featuring clear and accurate instructions that made check-in and settling in effortless.The property is remarkably spacious and easily accommodated our group of 14 adults and kids without ever feeling crowded. It came fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The lodge was clean, well-maintained, and exceptionally family-friendly—our kids were instantly won over by the huge selection of toys and books provided.A major highlight for our group was the absence of Wi-Fi. It turned out to be a wonderful blessing in disguise! Without screens to distract them, the kids spent their time playing together, and the adults actually sat down and reconnected.Practical amenities were also top-notch:Warmth: Plenty of heaters were provided in the bedrooms to keep everyone cozy throughout the night.Efficiency: Gas appliances meant fast meal prep for a big group and continuous hot water for everyone’s showers.We would definitely recommend Ohakune White Peaks Lodge to any families or large groups looking for a relaxing, well-equipped getaway. We would love to stay again!

Comfortable

We had a group of 12 people doing an Alpine Skills course. It was ideal for our group with a good sized living area and it was warm & comfortable with the fire going.

Good place for a group stay

We have enjoyed our stay there as a group, lots of beds. Missed my morning coffee as it was not provided. We were charged extra for cleaning even after leaving the property in a reasonable condition.

Thanks for your feedback. Fortunately the cleaner forwarded me a picture of how you left the stove. It was disgusting. You left your rubbish behind. I would have thought that coffee would be part of your groceries that you would bring yourself. We gave you a comprehensive list of what we supply for you in the welcome email ie tea, sugar, detergent, dishwasher powder, tea towels, prepaid refuse bag, firelighters, matches plus what we provided for the bathroom/showers/toilets.

Happy Holiday despite miserable weather

We enjoyed our 3 night long weekend stay at Ohakune. The weather was miserable all weekend. But the weather cleared this morning, revealing stunning views of Ruapehu. We managed to have fun in the snow, what little there was of it. And we went hiking, and rock climbing was just a five minute walk from the house. Cafes, info centre, playground/park, supermarket were just 5 minutes walk from the house. Though ten persons were in our party, we never had to wait for toilet or shower or sink, due to the configuration of facilities.

Perfect Getaway Weekend

What an awesome little GEM at the perfect location... Everything we needed and more was provided. Felt lik your home away from home. Big enough foulr our group of friends and family and stil ample room foe kiddies to have fun. Board games and entertainment for kiddies provided... This was the first weekend in ages where phones wasnt our priority. Thanks this was exactly what we needed and ao much more... From the booking prosess to the checkout point was easy as pie.. We will definitely book again. Enjoyed every bit of our stay👏

Bad experience

No proper inststruction has given last minutes requested to use own bedding Extra charged for cleaning even though had a proper clean done .Not recommend this place to anybody Vary bad customer service experience Requested to use own bedding it wazDon't have any trust about this place never ever book this place again

The house was warm and cosy once the fire was going. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was clean and tidy. We liked the space but very disappointed with the cleanliness of the hall and rooms. Some of the walls had visible holes and there were noticeable dents in other areas, which took away a bit from the overall feel of the place. Certain places needed to be wiped down as the dust was clearly visible on bedside tables and heaters. The toys had quite a bit of dust and there were some roaches in the hall which wasnt pleasant! Unfortunately, the hand soap wasn’t refilled and ran out and for a group of 14 people, only four toilet rolls were provided, which certainly wasn’t enough across 2 nights. Disappointing as a 80 fee is charged for cleaning.
