A spacious 4 bedroom holiday home that sleeps 10.
Only a few minutes short walk to the buzz of Oneroa village's (the main village on Waiheke) bars, cafes, restaurants, boutique shops, art galleries and three beaches including the gorgeous Oneroa Beach makes this an ideal escape to indulge in all the spoils that Waiheke has to offer.
A two minute drive (15 minute easy walk) to or from the Matiatia ferry terminal or only a few minutes walk from Oneroa's (the main village on the Island) bus stops. Perfectly located within walking distance to the world class Cable Bay and Mudbrick vineyards and restaurants means you don't even need a vehicle.
The holiday home is a is set over two levels. The top level is bathed in all day sun and comes complete with large decks - ideal for entertaining.
Recently renovated with all new furnishings and furniture.
Brand new (2024) kitchen with stone granite benchtops, top of the line Miele oven and stove top and new Miele dishwasher. Large french door Samsung fridge and freezer. Large walk in butlers pantry.
Sleeps 10 in 5 queen sized beds (all with super comfortable Sealy Posturepedic innersprung mattresses). Childs high chair and portacot.
The downstairs level is separate and self contained with a large bunk room and separate bathroom/shower and entrance (ideal for teens). Perfect for two families or larger groups.
Two bathrooms - one with a spa bath.
Free unlimited fast wi-fi.
Ranch slider doors open from the open plan lounge and two of the main bedrooms to sun drenched decks providing a perfect indoor - outdoor flow.
The choice of sunny outdoor living areas and relaxing indoor spaces make this an ideal holiday retreat.
Sit back and relax among the abundant bird life, including Tuis and Kereru (native Wood Pigeons). The wrap around decks (with that peek of a sea view) look out on to professionally landscaped gardens with a nautical theme. A quiet peaceful location makes for the perfect hideaway or getaway from the stresses of everyday life.

This was an excellent location and property for my family, including 1 x toddler & a baby. The house suited our situation perfectly, with the younger family using the downstairs area which was perfect for them all to be together.

The location was beautiful, and accomodation was very comfortable and accessible. We had everything we needed and would have loved to have stayed for longer. Our friends from Australia loved it!

Tidy place
Weekend in Waiheke with extended family - plenty of room and very tidy and clean. Short walk to Oneroa main drag.

Relaxed and Walking distance to town.
Our extended family rented here for a week. We loved the sunny outside seating, BBQ and easy walk to amenities. Dave was always easy to contact.

Perfect Escape
The house was amazing, even better then the photos and completely fit for purpose. Super clean and tidy also, wifi was good even managed to get it downstairs. Plenty of space for everyone and very communicative host. Amazing highly reccomend

Lovely Bach, great communication from the owners
Lovely Bach, owners very quick to reply to all queries.
As other people pointed out, downstairs is suitable for older kids or another family as there is no internal access.
In need of a few minor repairs, namely the electrics downstairs, the washing machine (we had to go to the laundrette) and the main door lock.
Those things aside, the Bach is lovely. It’s in a great location, easy walking distance to Oneroa with its pretty views, shops and restaurants. It’s very relaxing and peaceful.

the property met all out expectations and more the inside , outdoor flow was great and as we were there for a wedding and had 10 people in the house accommodated the family well with plenty of space for us to enjoy each others company. The house was well equipped and had everything we needed to add to the stay. The location was perfect close to the village and the wedding venue. Thank you Fiona and Dave .

Great location- close to Oneroa Village.
Great location- close to Oneroa Village. Spacious living area and open plan kitchen with 3 bedrooms upstairs and bunks downstairs. No internal access to downstairs. Great deck areas and outdoor entertaining area.

This property is a bach, and therefore not a 5 star hotel, the amount we paid reflected this.
This property is a bach, and therefore not a 5 star hotel, the amount we paid reflected this. We were a party of 10, and this suited us well. The Blue Mako was comfortable very well located and was definitely value for money. I would stay again.

The location was great! Close to Oneroa village and beach.
We found a few issues - lights not working on deck, window coverings in disrepair (not very private when Venetian blinds were bent and some were very hard to put up and down) We couldn't get the tv working.
Of 3 bedrooms upstairs only one had wardrobe. Hanging racks would be handy.
Downstairs inappropriate for our 3 kids (4,7,8) too far from upstairs .. no internal access.
Damp downstairs, mould/mildew on mattresses.

Thanks for your feedback. We have replaced the downstairs blinds that were damaged by a previous Guest and also got new wooden blinds for the upstairs bedrooms that open to the deck. I'm not sure about the TV, maybe detailed instructions on its use would be handy? And we now have a dehumidifier for downstairs and sorted the mildew on the mattress downstairs - unfortunately we had torrential (supposedly 1 in 100 year) rain and some water getting in downstairs which meant we had some damage - hopefully this is now sorted.
