Located in a quiet Wharewaka St, The Bach @ 54 is an easy, spacious home that is ideal to relax and unwind in with a seperate lounge. Its a short stroll to the Lakes edge, childrens playground and walkway. Private, family friendly back yard with sunny tiled terrace with outdoor furniture/games available. 3 adult bikes & helmets available to use at own risk. Pool table, dartboard, a selection of board games & toys to keep everyone amused. Great place for inter generational meet ups.

Locally and a short drive towards town (approx 2kms) is Kokomea Village which has a Woolworths Supermarket, a Liquorland, a Cafe and a small variety of other food outlets.

Approximately 2km to the south near the junction with State Highway 1 is 'The Landing' which has a variety of family entertainment (mini golf, indoor trampoline park, 10 pin bowling etc), a gastro pub, cafe and ice cream parlour.

Taupo is a haven for the outdoor enthusiast - whether its boating, fishing, mountain biking, golfing .. Taupo and surrounds has it all. The Bach is only mins to the 3 Mile Bay boat ramp for the water enthusiasts. For the adrenaline junky .. try bungy jumping, sky diving, the extreme swing or a Jet boat ride on the Waikato River. You may just want to take in the world famous Huka Falls or relax in thermal hot pool.

Taupo Town is an easy 5-10 minute drive away - shopping, cafes, restaurants and base for many events. A Public bus runs between Wharewaka and the Taupo CBD (Taupo Connector - route 33 - pick up/drop off point near 23 Wharewaka Road)

Taupo airport (less than 4km away-a 5min drive)

A lovely family friendly place for us to stay for a winter weekend away. All the little details had been considered, there was nothing we needed. Very nice linen and fire place was a bonus. Close walking distance to the reserve and lake

Excellent house. Great communication with the owner. House was lovely, comfortable beds, very well equipped kitchen with everything we needed, towels and linen. Loved our stay

My family and I had a great stay and really enjoyed it, very comfy beds and quite area. Highly recommend staying here and would stay here in the future

Great space near the lake

We had a lovely stay - lots of room for several friends and kids. Nice to be able to all sit around a big table chatting. We enjoyed the fire on the cold winter nights! A lovely quiet neighbourhood close to the lake.

Great place, great location!

An excellent location near lake. Close to town, but far enough out to have peace, especially when busy with school holidays. Fireplace works well and plenty of games available, including Finksa, which my son and I really enjoyed playing on the back lawn. Can recommend.

Great house for a family

Everything you could need - board games, DVDs, 2 x TV/lounges, outdoor games, pool table, dart board, lawn, dishwasher, hairdryer, washing machine, clothes line. Lovely warm sunny house. Loved it!

Excellent

We had a lovely stay. The house was spacious and comfortable and walking distance to the lake for a swim and a playground at the reserve. The property is in a nice quiet area and is close enough to bike into the town centre. The property manager was very friendly and accommodating plus she was quick to respond to any messages. I highly recommend staying here and will stay here again in the future.

Fantastic place

We had the best fun filled family Xmas at this place. It was a perfect spot with 2 living areas, great outdoor spaces and we loved all the games on offer. Lots of laughs were had playing pool, jenga, swingball and much more. The 3 cousins (16, 12 and 4) also spent hours playing with the LEGO in the cupboard, it was a definite hit! It was also great having the lake only a short walk away.

Just brilliant

A wonderful bach. Everything you need and more. Superb layout, loads of room, top location and excellent facilities. 1st class communication from the manager. Would 100% come back to this property. Accomodating too, with plenty of room for our boat and cars. Kids already asking when we can go back. Loved the open fire as well. Very cozy.

Beautiful, clean, spacious home in lovely neighborhood

It was a pleasure to work with the host throughout the booking and prior to our stay. She was very helpful. Directions were very clear and accurate. Upon arrival we found a generous and thoughtful welcome basket. The home was very clean, lots of room for me and my two older daughters. Great location for the 70.3 IronMan World Championships in Taupo. Short walk to beautiful lake and path. Safe neighborhood. Can bike into town or easy car ride about 10 minutes. No issues parking in town. Truly enjoyed our one week stay, would highly recommend. Thank you for your warm welcome.

We had a lovely stay in Taupō. The house was comfortable and worked well for our family trip. It was a good base for exploring the area. The bunk bed was great for our child, and we appreciated having a warm and cosy place to come back to in winter. Thank you for hosting us.

Comfortable stay at the Batch

Excellent communication with property management and owner. Was able to access the property a few hours earlier than the standard 2pm which was great with young children. Plenty of games and other entertainment provided. We were very happy with the accommodation and the location suited us. All in all we very happy with it and would stay again in the future.

Cozy family bach

It was such a pleasure getting to stay at this family bach. It’s conveniently located, in walking distance to the lake for afternoon strolls & a short distance to central Taupō. The bach is huge, including a massive main en-suite bedroom, huge living/dining/kitchen area to hang out in, plus still a beautifully sunny, more formal lounge if you want some space to yourself. It’s really well stocked with games, DVDs & books to keep you busy. We just loved spending time by the fire as a family, relaxing & enjoying our winter getaway. Communication with Lisa was brilliant & she went the extra mile to accommodate us with our baby, organising a travel cot. Highly recommend staying here!

Taupo Beauty

Where do I begin... Such a beautiful modern spacious home, stunningly decorated and so warm and cozy, fully equipped with everything you need and more. Close to the lake with beautiful views from the upper level. Room for kids to run around outside and have their own space inside. The pool table was such an added bonus and the games cupboard an amazing addition. I could go on for days about each little part of this property as it truely is something special. We loved every minute of our stay and felt completely at home, we can’t wait to come back again. Thanks so much everything.

First time staying in Taupo, loved it all, back to explore more.

Absolutely fantastic location, quite street, short walking distance to lake walkway, house had plenty or room for all 6 of us, would definitely recommend this property to stay at, we would stay there again.

Amazing place! Place was perfect for a group getaway. Lisa was great in all dealings and was really helpful. We had a great time and really enjoyed our stay, there was so much to do and we will definitely be back.
