Luxurious self contained 60 sqm guest house situated in Penrith Park.

Enjoy incredible mountain views whilst having your morning coffee brewed by the supplied Nespresso Machine.

Large kings sized bed with linen sheets, warm duvet and electric blanket in winter.

The bathroom has underfloor heating, a large walk in shower, heated towel rail and drying room for ski gear.

Penrith Park Beach in Lake Wanaka is 5 minutes walk away. Cycle 5 minutes and arrive at the famous Sticky Forest Bike tracks. Wanaka township is 5 minutes drive. There are also two mountain bikes (his and hers) available for use with helmets and bike lock supplied. Please note use of bikes is entirely at guests own risk.

Guests have free access to Peninsular Bay's stunning facilities of a large heated swimming pool in summer, 2 spa pools heated all year round, well equipped gymnasium and BBQ's

And lastly there is an arrival welcome pack inc. tea and coffee for all guests.

A fantastic get away

We loved staying in this place. It was super clean and the heat pump ensured that we stayed nice and cool. A wonderful place to relax and unwind. Really comfy bed and a super helpful host.

We rated accommodation as "first class". The host is friendly and helpful.

Our accommodation is so neat and clean. The location is so handy only few minutes away from the Wanaka establishments. What a superb view around the place we stayed, with a good street.

Fabulous Stay

Vow what a beautiful place to stay, Jay the owner has built this house with passion and thinking about every small things which make guest holiday very comfortable. House was very nice and clean. Top notch place will definitely recommend it.

Lovely stay in Wanaka

A friend and I enjoyed our two nights at this spot. It was the perfect place from which to enjoy what Wanaka has to offer. The kitchen supplies were very useful - not having a kitchen sink took a bit of getting used to but we worked it out. Would stay again.

Unfortunately we don't have a kitchen sink as that would define our property as having a kitchen and we didn't want to encourage cooking inside the unit as it leaves lasting odours..We do have a bathroom sink for water supplies and a dishwasher for washing plates and utensils..As you know we have a microwave ...Sorry you found it inconvenient but it was in the description..All the best.Jay

Very private in a nice safe neighborhood with easy parking. The house was perfect for me and my daughter- comfy bed, great shower and all the basic appliances we wanted- fridge, microwave, toaster for my bagel and coffee/tea maker. We took advantage of everything that was offered- rode the house bikes to Mt Iron (3-4 miles away) and hiked the loop and rode back. We used the fitness facility hot tubs and took in all of the information that Jay provided and recommended. Unfortunately we didn't have time to try all the great restaurants but were happy with everything he had recommended in the house binder of info. The weather had rain in the area but somehow we got lucky and did all of our activities with either overcast skies and even a stunning blue sky day to our road trip to Mt Cook.

Wow what a location

Beautiful property with all the comforts of home -very clean modern and spacious. Great neighbourhood to walk around with beautiful homes. Guesthouse very private. Jay very welcoming. Would have loved to stay longer.

Perfect location in Wanaka

We had a brilliant time. Our host, Jay, took us out in his boat to a unique island with a lake at the top in Lake Wanaka. There were bikes for our use and we were a short walk away from a quiet beach. Jay was very friendly and helpful, the holiday bungalow was very comfortable and private and the area was very quiet and peaceful. Altogether a perfect location.

Comfortable and Cozy

We had a nice short stay here and felt very comfortable and cozy the whole time whilst also being nice and spacious. It is in a very nice neighbourhood close to some quieter lakeside spots and is nicely tucked away on the property making it nice and private. Having the bikes was a nice option too.

Beutiful view and a great location

What a lovely, stand alone property at the base of the lot with a private entry from the sidewalk! There is a huge glass entry wall with sliding door that makes for a lovely view of the mountains. The bathroom had a roomy walk-in shower. We would definitely return to this 'Stunning Guest House' in the future. Thanks!

Very comfortable modern accommodation

Fairly new modern accommodation for 2-3. Very comfortable clean and tidy. Good facilities but owners unable to provide more amenities such as sink, or stove, due to regulations. More suitable for those eating out most of the time.

Thanks for choosing to stay with us .glad you enjoyed your stay . I just wonder why you felt the need to try to deter people choosing to stay here over your sink and stove comment . We do not advertise having a kitchen sink or stove as I explained to you in person.. we not want the smell of cooking in the unit . It’s not a long stay residence . We do have a microwave and s bbq outside (which most of our visitors find sufficient . ) I can understand if we advertised these kitchen utilities but we don’t . Your wife seemed to find a problem walking to the adjacent bathroom next door to wash her hands after eating a banana ! Some people just need something to complain about I guess . I’m pretty disappointed you chose to write this in your review after we talked about the reason we chose not to put in s kitchen sink snd oven . Takes all sorts I guess .

The perfect stay!

My son and I traveled from Arizona all the way to New Zealand and truly loved staying here! The neighbor was beautiful, the house was clean, fresh, and relaxing, and Jay and Nikki were SUCH excellent hosts! It was almost as if we were staying with old friends or something. Nikki shared some DELICIOUS cheese muffins she had made with us after we arrived a day later than expected, and Jay was so kind to make himself available to drive us across to Rippon Hall one day for a wedding we were attending. His tour-guide vibes going through town did not disappoint! I also really appreciated the welcome binder and travel brochures - SO helpful! Truly loved calling this place "home" while we were on vacation!

Really nice place!

Beautiful location in a nice neighborhood. Landscape is pretty and the unit is spacious and new! My only ding on the property is that there is no sink in the kitchenette area. I realize that a sink was not advertised in the listing, but that wasn't really something I was looking for in the listing - that's just something that I would expect to be in the unit. However, lack of the sink is not a deal breaker - I definitely recommend this place!

Wonderful accommodation

This property was extremely well thought out. We could see a lot of care had gone into the planning of the unit. Place has a huge walk in Shower, fantastic size strong water pressure heated floor. Has a Very Comfy Bed, which is so important. Heated bed blanket for cold nights. Jay was lovely to us, he is welcoming , friendly, easy to talk to kind of guy. when we needed guidance on the BBQ Jay was on the scene in a timely manner. Thank you, Jay! Stunning views with our morning coffee and BBQ. Had a top experience. Will be back for sure. Recommend this reliable place. Very pleased.

Wanaka Guest House

Place was clean and great location. Options for cooking limited to a microwave, BBQ supplied but doesn't really work in winter. The rest of the guest house well appointed. We left some coats in the cupboard which the owner nicely couriered back to us, at our request, once he was 100% positive that we had paid the courier fee. However, owner was less then friendly when we rang to request this. Accused us of breaking a door, which came of the track the moment we touched it. I refitted the door and neglected to rush straight up to the main house and tell him, to which he thought gave him the entitlement to yell at my wife over the phone. This interaction with him soured what was a great week, in a nice accommodation. Perhaps he needs to learn a little bit about ways to speak to people if he is going to be in the business of hospitality. Otherwise, nice place to stay

Hi Scott, I am quite surprised at your comments below as I certainly did not shout at your wife and I object to the accusation. The BBQ is working well and our current guests are using it with no problems at all. The door was broken during your stay and had you informed us of the issue at any point over those 5 days, it would have been repaired immediately. However the damage was hidden until you left, which meant we had to get a builder within 5 hours to fix the door before the next guests arrived. I generously did not charge the repair to you both, as your wife said it was an accident when she admitted it on the phone. You also left behind 4 very large coats and expected me to courier them to yourselves for free. As there were so many I had to charge on the cost, if it had been one I would have waived the charges. We have had many wonderful reviews from great guests who respect our policies and property and its is a shame that you did not. You're the first guests in many years we would not welcome to stay with us in future.
