Our Kiwi bach is a warm cosy much loved suntrap. This property is perfect for the family holiday (Pet friendly)or for a group of friends just wanting to get away from it all. Also ideal for a one night stay over. Te Anau offers the beauty of the mountains and Lake with the natural wildlife being very special. Sitting out on the deck you can take in the relaxing atmosphere of TeAnau with the view of the mountains and the sound of the bird life.
With being so handy to town its a lovely stroll in to dine out and have a couple of drinks or to take the family to a nice cafe for lunch..
We have 4 Push bikes available for your use at any time, boules, quoitze,crochet and a bouncy trampoline and a small sandpit for the kids. There is board games and DVDs for those wet days!
Set in a safe quiet friendly neighbourhood with an extra large back yard with plenty of parking space. We would like to share with you our piece of paradise.

Cozy and warm, clean and tidy close to everything with added bonus of a great backyard to kick a ball around. Good for family of four with a foldout couch too. Host is very responsive and prompt too. Smooth check in process no dramas at all. Thanks Jo.

We loved the privacy and convenience of this house. We could walk to the restaurants very easily. We had everything we needed. Very clean and comfortable. We loved the food at Black Dog Bar!

Really clean and sunny. Loved the fenced lawn for the dogs for zoomies. Absolutely everything you need is there. Lovely host. Great communication. Highly recommend!

Nice home in residential area (quiet) yet just 8-10 minute walk to restaurants and lake. Great to have private outdoor space, parking, and washer/dryer. Highly recommend!

Nice spot to visit the area

As advertised, a clean and convenient home in a quiet neighborhood. Nice garden to sit in after a day of hiking or sightseeing. Really enjoyed our stay.

Really lovely house in Te Anau. Quiet neighborhood, easy parking. Short 10 minute walk to the casual downtown with many restaurants. Well maintained decor, washer and dryer, loaner bikes. Communication was easy, checkin process was smooth.

Great location

Great location to walk to town and to check out the sounds. Comfy place to stay with good supplies in the kitchen. would stay again if down that way

The place was nice. It got cold at night, but there were plenty of blankets and heaters to help mitigate that. Tons of info provided for your visiting needs.

Great house in a great location

Very clean property with all the amenities. Close to all the Te Anau activites - boating, biking, hiking and a great home base for Milford and Doubtful Sounds. We're very happy we chose to stay at Laybak Retreat.

Great location

Layback Retreat is a lovely property within an easy 15 minute walk to bars, restaurants,shops and the lake.We particularly enjoyed the patio, garden (thanks for the boules) and barbeque.Mick was brilliant in sorting out the gas for us for the barbeque!We had a great stay!

We live on a lifestyle block at Browns in Soutrhland and love to holiday in TeAnau, The beauty of the Lake Bush and Mountains are very special and we are lucky enough to Airbnb 2 properties in TeAnau. I have travelled extensively and enjoy meeting and talking with guests.

We love to holiday in our typical Kiwi Batch with a large section there is plenty of outdoor space and its great to sit on the deck at night and watch the sun go down. My husband went to school in TeAnau so its nice to come and see friendly faces of the past.
