Red Barn....

This rustic Barn conversion is everything you need for a quiet country getaway. Hidden in the beautiful Upper Squamish Valley, it offers a full kitchen, bathroom, indoor & outdoor eating spaces, cozy living room now set-up with a queen size murphy bed cabbinet for bigger groups, and two bedrooms. Come and enjoy some clean, crisp mountain air!
This space can comfortably sleep 6.
This is a hobby farm setting with, chickens, ducks, sheep, goats and pheasants.
The space
Enjoy the quiet serenity of the Upper Squamish Valley, a small hobby farming community. Make a delicious breakfast in our fully equipped kitchen, with our farm fresh eggs! Relax at the outdoor seating, and take in gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains & glaciers.

Guest access

Guests will have access to walking trails within & around our property.

The area around the building is totally for guests to use- the BBQ, picnic table, and chairs.

Feel free to walk the grounds, watch our chickens through the fence. But, please do not enter any farm buildings. Thanks!

Interaction with guests

When you arrive at the barn, make yourself at home & settle in.

We are more than happy to give you all the space and privacy you need during your stay, however, if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask! You can call us at the house or text/communicate through the VRBO messages. We'd be happy to answer any questions you might have!

Other things to note

Our small hobby farm is a working homestead, and it is far from perfect. We are working on projects so please accept that some of the property is not yet perfect.
Guest access
We have over 20 acres to walk and check out. Some still in clearing and setup mode for further animals. We also have another farm I could give you directions to. Your welcome to visit this farm also.
Other things to note
The pricing is set for up to 4 people. We can comfortably sleep 6. There is an up charge for each person after 4.

We had an amazing time! The property was beautiful and it was such a treat to get to interact with all the animals. The house was comfortable and clean and fit out group perfectly. I would absolutely stay here again.

Cupcake Farm is such a magical place. A cozy gem, tucked in the mountains. The animals were so gentle. The hosts were kind, and available when needed. The barn was well kept and tidy with everything we could have needed during our stay. 10/10 would recommend and will return. Thanks for a great stay!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Cupcake Farm. We loved feeding the animals and spending a little time with the dogs on our way in and out each day. The sounds of the farm took a little getting used to, especially at night, but it wasn't long before they faded into the background. The farm fresh eggs were great for breakfast and a nice bonus for our stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone interested in a farm stay and hope that we'll be able to visit again one day!

I have nothing but good things to say about this lovely farm. The animals were such a treat and the accommodations were spacious, clean, and comfortable. Would come again in a heartbeat and have already shared the link to it with friends

This was such a fun spot to go to!! The animals were so great, and there were some friendly dogs waiting to greet us! The host left bread to feed the animals, and eggs! The place was clean and check in was so easy. Coffee and teas provided and full kitchen ware available.The place has been lived in a bit more than I think the pictures show -- it's obviously been well loved by many travellers, but it does not distract from the charm of the place. During our stay, the front door lock did not work, and there are renovations on the main house nearby, with saws and hammering going during regular working hours. Also, this is a basement suite -- there is another guest unit upstairs, and I do think that should be noted more prominently: I live in a basement apartment and I have enough people running on my head 24/7. But if you're there with kids or family, I'm sure you'll be comfortable. If you're not minding that, this is a great spot to be able to star-gaze!!! It's remote enough to see the Milky Way during clear nights, and was so beautiful for bird watching during the day! The driveway to their house is trecherous-- but we did it in an Evo Prius!!! Just do like they say and GO SLOW like fr not over 7kmh.

Perfect Vibes

We absolutely loved our stay at Cupcake Farms! The space itself is lovely, with views of the mountains in all directions, and all of the farm animals were so friendly and sweet, especially the two farm dogs! The place had such a rustic feel and the private hot tub and BBQ added two perfect ways to relax and enjoy the beautiful Squamish sunsets!

Incredible find - stunning location, brilliant family friendly farm animals. Lovely hosts on work farm. Great space to relax and enjoy. With numerous activities like horse riding and white water rafting just minutes away! Already tempting friends so we can revisit this special place! Everyone knows them and said how lovely the owners are - what a wonderful testament to the life you have built there. Everything we needed was included, rooms were comfortable as well

Stay for husbands 30th birthday

Great stay. Location wasn’t what we were expecting. But nothing a few cab rides didn’t solve. Beautiful experience. Great place for a backyard stay! Where you feel at home and at peace.

Great space in a remote area about 25 minutes outside of Squamish with a washer/dryer and hot tub. Kids loved the farm animals and the dogs. We ended up getting groceries and making dinner and breakfast here to avoid being in town after dark - this space had all we needed. Good grocery store called nesters in town. Also enjoyed hiking the Shannon falls and snowshoeing at the top of the sea to sky gondola. We also got some playing cards at the Arrow Wood games in town (very nice people) and ate ice cream at Alice ice cream (fresh raspberry ice cream). For breakfast we hit up the Backyard - great pastries (mcbluffins were delicious). Really appreciate this space!

Mountain Bike Trip to Squamish

The place had everything we need for 5 days of mountain biking.The place is 25 minutes from Diamond Head so not bad.The kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals! The kids loved the animals and fire pit.Kelly is responsive on any questions which is appreciated.

The animals made our trip. Each day we were greeted by willow and chip the two horses. Such lively beasts. The roosters go off each day at 4:00 am so be warned. Didn't bother us as we are early risers. No A/C but the nights were cool and no problem getting to sleep after hiking in the hot BC Heat. Its a 20 min drive into Squamish so you just need to plan ahead. But the cottage had everything we needed. Thanks

This is a secluded, unique, and picturesque property. The barn has been lovingly rehabbed into a double rental unit with the owners' house just yards away. There is a menagerie of mammals and fowl on the premises--two albino peacocks and a number of their multi-colored compatriots roaming about, strutting their stuff and shrieking occasionally. A solid pig. Two tall emus--not shy. A motley crew of chickens & turkeys. A pretty rabbit. Luxuriate in the hot tub watching birds land on Clydesdale horses, mountains soaring in the background. The inside of the rental is modern: large ornate rustic beds, granite countertops, great room w/comfy couch and TV, fully stocked kitchen, laundry, dining room. Nice, modern 2-shower bathroom (needs hooks and towel bars). My only complaints were that the place reeked of chemical cleaning fluid when we arrived late at night, with no way to air the place out because only one set of the 4 double sliding glass doors had screens. Insufficient fans. So: hot and smelly when we were really tired. I think the owner, Kelly, is super nice and would be willing to rectify these two problems so that people with smell and heat sensitivities would be more comfortable. Kelly also left us fresh eggs from the chickens and bread rolls to feed the animals. The outdoor spaces (deck, chairs) could use some cleaning. Anyway--it's a fun, eccentric escape. Close to Squamish (all amenities) and hiking & tourist stuff. Peaceful. My partner and his kids loved it.
