Simply Amazing!

My kids and I surprised my wife with a trip to PEI for her 50th birthday. Staying at Ingleside was definitely the highlight! I know any “Anne” fan will be in awe at the experience of staying here.

Perfect Place to Stay for Our Cape Tryon Elopement!

We had the loveliest stay at Montgomery Inn! My husband and I eloped at Cape Tryon Lighthouse just down the road and our family stayed with us at Montgomery Inn for a few days around the wedding. We had a tea party the day before the wedding in the dining room and a family dinner outside the Inn following the ceremony. It was absolutely perfect for us and had everything we could have needed. All but two of the bedrooms have an ensuite bathroom and the other two bedrooms share a full bathroom, with an additional powder room downstairs, which was very much appreciated with everyone getting ready for the wedding. The rooms are beautifully and thoughtfully decorated with period furniture and decor--it feels a bit like staying in a museum (though still very comfortable and not stuffy)! The kitchen is very well-stocked for baking (cake pans, mixing bowls, measuring cups, hand mixer, etc) and entertaining--with everyday dishes and several full sets of china dishes, teapots and teacups, as well as table linens and lace runners. If you are thinking of hosting an event here, I would highly recommend it! The area is beautiful, just a short walk from the coast, with views of the sea and the Lake of Shining Waters (Campbell Pond). The front porch was a lovely place to sit and enjoy the colorful sunsets and take in the surroundings. The perfect place to stay for Anne of Green Gables fans and history lovers, as well as those who just appreciate beautiful surroundings. Lauralee was helpful and communicative before our stay and Paul was great during the stay--checking in on us a couple times in person and answering the phone right away to accommodate a special request. Cannot recommend enough!

A Magical Stay in Ingleside

7 university friends descended on PEI for a 5 day "Girls' Trip" and 3 nights were spent at Montgomery Inn. We felt so lucky to have found a spot that made us feel immersed in the world of Anne of Green Gables, but with all the modern conveniences and comforts. The Inn was perfect for our needs, with all necessities thoughtfully provided and extras as well (plus throws in every room). We would have loved to have had more time to take advantage of the well-stocked kitchen. Paul's impromptu history of the house on our arrival and help in carrying bags upstairs, was an unexpected bonus. Thank you for the chance to experience this beautiful home in its magical setting.

Our experience at Montgomery in at Ingleside was fantastic! What an amazing place. beautiful! It's like taking a step back in time but with all the amenities. The inside decor is so interesting and historic. I took 11 people and every single one of us loved it. We highly recommend it. The owner was so helpful. It was like we knew each other for years.

My family of 6 had the most amazing vacation at the Montgomery Inn at Ingleside! The house is so spacious, well-appointed, and with a kitchen that has everything necessary for cooking homemade meals. The views are spectacular! It’s infused with the spirit of LMM and Anne. I still close my eyes to go back to my view from the master bedroom window, or the view from the porch as I sat relaxing while my girls ran around playing make believe under the canopies of the big trees in the front yard. I can hear the howling of the strong island winds as they blew past the house. The drives to everywhere we went on the island were beautiful; it’s an absolutely picturesque place. You are a minute away from the Anne of Green Gables Museum, and can take a carriage ride from there to the beach. Book now!
