Luxury Mountain Cabin

Home completed in spring 2008, perched overlooking French Broad River w/ panoramic views of Mt. Mitchell on one side and Mt. Pisgah on the other, half hour north of Asheville. This is the perfect get away from it all destination yet it's only 10 minutes from the county seat of Marshall and 15 from full service grocery store.

Home sits on over 20 acres, providing lots of room for hiking. There are 3 floors (4200+ square feet) to accommodate family gatherings and was professionally decorated with comfort and luxury in mind.

There are 3 stone fireplaces, 2 large screen TV's and 5 others in the office and bedrooms. Recreation room in the bottom level with bar and pool table, plus 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths (master w/Jacuzzi and walk in shower) w/heated floors and washer/dryer. Main floor has full kitchen, laundry room, great room, master bed/bath with Jacuzzi, walk in shower and deck. Top floor has 2 bedrooms(one king, other w/2 doubles) plus full bath & office. 7 person hot tub & 2 dining tables on deck to enjoy one of kind views of the mountains and French Broad River.

Hosts were very communicative through the whole booking process, and provided additional resources that made check in, check out, travel to and from the cabin so much easier. Gorgeous property, very reasonably priced and quite roomy.

WARNING: DANGEROUS ROAD. YOU MUST HAVE 4 WHEEL DRIVE WITH OFF ROAD ABILITY. THE ROAD IS BAD ALL THE WAY, BUT THE FINAL HILL TO THE DRIVEWAY IS EXTREMELY DANGEORUS AND NEEDS SOME POSTS OR JUST SOME WIRE OR. IT IS TOO DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT OR ANY RAIN.Wonderful place and hosts otherwise.

Our stay was fantastic. Joan was a great host; she was very responsive, gave very detailed information about the drive and cabin and provided a beautiful place to stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Highly recommend this property! The view is amazing and we spent the mornings watching the sun burn off the mist in the valley. Great communication from the host!

We were at the lodge to celebrate the 4th of July with our daughter and her family of 4. My wife and I also brought our Golden Retriever for the weekend. Upon arrival, we were stunned by the beautiful curb appeal of the lodge as you drive up. Getting into the house couldn't have been easier and we were excited to see that the lodge was just as described in the listing. All of the bedrooms were large and each bedroom had its own bathroom which made things convenient. The kitchen was beautiful and well stocked with the essentials. The beautiful view outside overlooking the river and mountains, made for great morning coffee views as well as evening drinks while grilling. It was too hot out for hot tub use but it did look inviting. I honestly don't have one bad thing to say about the whole experience except that I wish we could have stayed longer, and I'm pretty sure we'll be back again in the Fall.

Had a fantastic time staying here. The rooms were spacious and well-decorated. There was plenty of storage/space everywhere. The host was awesome, available to help at any time. We would book again

For starters the host was amazing, always available and willing to answer all questions we had and open to accommodate to our needs! The cabin was as described, very spacious and with plenty of rooms and bathrooms for every party involved! Beautiful place to spend good time with family or friends, relax and enjoy a stunning view and yet close enough to a nice little town with great shops and restaurants! Would definitely stay here again!

Family Stay

We really enjoyed the house and location. Communication with Joan was fantastic, she was extremely helpful and prompt in responding to our questions as we prepared for the trip. Loved the house, it has an amazing view and back deck overlooking the river.

Beautiful Vista in a quite mountain surrounding made it easy to recharge. Situated in the quaint town of Marshall and with easy access to Ashville close by for entertainment, made this location a prime vacation spot.

Great for group of friends with kids/dogs

We had a large group of friends with kids and dogs really enjoyed the private space and scenery of his home. The house was incredible and very spacious for everyone to fit. It was great to let the kids and dogs roam out front and not go too far from us.

Amazing place to stay.

The property is as described. Plenty of room for our group. Magnificent views from the house. Joan was quick to respond to any questions. Joan provided plenty of information on the area to help us plan our stay. I would stay again- considering a family trip next.

We looked for property after our daughter gave her dad a rafting trip down the French Broad River for his birthday, and he noticed there were no homes overlooking it. The guide remarked that the reason for that lack was there were few roads leading to an overlook. By coincidence an out of town friend remarked that he had a friend living in Marshall who wanted to sell some land. Long story short it was perfect - the property already had a road and a breathtaking view, so here we are with our bit of heaven.
