Outstanding Place for a Fall Getaway

This home was wonderful. Very clean, comfortable beds, and plenty of areas to enjoy both the inside and outside when at the residence. Very picturesque view from the front porch, quiet neighborhood, and an easy drive into Galena to enjoy the area.

Galena Getaway

This was a great property and exceeded our expectations. The home had great amenities including a screened porch in back, a relaxing front porch and a hot tub. We used each of these daily during our stay. Highly recommend this property.

Great place for a large group

We had a great weekend away with five couples. The house is beautiful set up for groups! All the extra amenities like lots of extra toilet paper, dish soap, shampoo/conditioner, cooking supplies, and fire wood made for an extra special stay. Everything was very clean and orderly. Instructions were clean and ready to follow. Great communication as well!!! Would absolutely recommend staying here!!!!

Great for big groups

Our family rented two houses from The Collective and used this house as the “main house” over our Thanksgiving day weekend. Fun basement for kids and a very well equipped kitchen for all of our dinner prep. Very spacious and the separate bathrooms were great. Bonus points for Brian and the cleaning crew who helped us find my dad’s wedding ring after we checked out! The best!!!

Friends trip

We had a great stay! The property was super clean and the beds were insanely comfortable!! We had an issue with the kitchen sink not draining and being clogged, the manager was super easy to get in contact with and worked with us to get it fixed. We would definitely stay here again!

Fun Girls Weekend Stay

We enjoyed the property for our short girls' weekend. Every bed was so comfortable with ample bathrooms for the 8 women on the trip. The kitchen and dining rooms were perfect for cooking for our large group and eating together. Brian was a great host and communicated with us to make sure we had a wonderful stay. Highly recommend and will be returning!

Wonderful!

We have stayed with The Collection Vacation Homes in Galena several times. Every time has been wonderful! The owners are super friendly and communicative. The properties are very well maintained and well decorated! Also, each property has been very clean! We will continue to book these properties in the future. Highly recommend!

Gleneagle Delivers a Memorable Stay

Our stay at the Gleneagle allowed friends to gather in comfort and safety. This has-been an annual trip for our group for about10 years now. The spacious gathering space and well stocked kitchen surpassed our previous territory stays. Bed and bath accommodations assured a positive experience for our 5 couples.

Perfect home for multiple families to enjoy

We’ve rented this home three years in a row and it’s perfect for all the cousins to get together at. Brian has upgraded all the room furniture with king beds and added other nice features. In addition, lots of hiking and the owners club is great to go play at. Highly recommend!

Spring Getaway

This was our third visit to this beautiful home and again we could not have been more pleased. The layout of the house is perfect for our family. The bedrooms on the main floor are perfect for our elderly parents. The weather was absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed just sitting out on the screened in porch. Thank you again for a great stay!

I have been coming to Galena for the past five years and have fallen in love with the area and all it has to offer. From the historic downtown to skiing at Chestnut in the winter, there is truly something for everyone in this town. I live in Chicago with my partner and love our escapes to Galena when time permits. We own two other rentals -- one in the Territory and another in Delaware. We have 5+ years of experience in managing short-term/vacation rentals.
