Escape with the whole family to California's Lost Coast at this gorgeous, single-story getaway located less than a mile from the Pacific Ocean. Step through the front door and into an open and sunny home with high ceilings and several windows looking out over the adjacent greenbelt. Prepare home-cooked, cost-saving meals in the well-equipped kitchen complete with stainless steel appliances and a breakfast bar, and then dine together at the large table. Gather in the adjacent and very comfortable living area with a gas fireplace and a flatscreen TV, or head out to the large, furnished deck where you can fire up the gas grill and watch for visiting wildlife. This home is also equipped with fast WiFi for streaming movies in the living room and primary bedroom while also using your devices.

Solitude by the Sea is ideal for those looking to get away from it all for a while, whether you're spending the bulk of your time at home, exploring the surrounding forests, or heading down to the beach. For local attractions, check out the Cape Mendocino Lighthouse in Mal Coombs Park at the tip of Point Delgada, just a mile south. Slip into your hiking boots and explore the Lost Coast Trail (the Black Sands Trailhead is less than two miles north). Pack your clubs and challenge the nine holes of Shelter Cove Golf Links, less than a mile away. And if you're looking to dine out (or pick up something to go), Mi Mochima offers delicious Venezuelan fare, while Gyppo Ale Mill boasts brews, brats, burgers, and more, both less than a mile from your door.

All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
The area is remote, and the WiFi is satellite. The use of multiple devices, (video games, phones, TV, streaming), at the same time may not be possible.
The top bunk (double bed) holds up to 200 lbs. While it may be acceptable for two children, it may not be suited for two adults. The home will still sleep nine adults with remaining beds.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.

Please note: this home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in our Good Neighbor protection program. Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximum occupancy and quiet hours. This technology is privacy compliant, and only monitors the presence of decibels and devices-not any personal conversation or information. Thank you for supporting our efforts to be good neighbors!

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
