Had an amazing week at the house. Had a family wedding down the street and rented the house to stay with some friends. Elder and his family were incredible - very responsive and kind. House was exactly as pictured.

We had a wonderful time at Casa Escocesa! The property is absolutely beautiful and well accommodated for our group size (6). We all felt very comfortable the entire time and had plenty of space. The pool and views are stunning and we felt so at peace. Most special were our hosts. Elder and Elda were so helpful, the grocery and meal services made our trip! Elda is a fantastic cook wish we’d had her cook even more. They also popped in during the day to tidy rooms for us which was so nice. Also, house pup Winnie was so cute and fun. Highly recommend the property for a friends or family getaway it was perfect!

Beautiful home and beach. Wonderful host and staff provided a hotel-like experience with cleaning, turn down, and food services during our stay. Great location in secure private area with nearby restaurants and activities. We would definitely book this place again in a heartbeat.

Was wonderful. Communication with host was perfect. House was as expected. The live in property managers where respectful. Accommodating and joy to be around fantastic cooks as well.This is a great property for your vacation.

We were two families, 4 adults 5 teenagers. We had more then enough space. The house was absolutely amazing. Elder and Elda were the best part of the trip, Elda’s food was better then anything at any restaurant. It was like being on a resort only for us. We hope to return again very soon.

Our stay at Casa Escosa was just as we imagined it! This is one of the most beautiful homes we’ve ever stayed in. Elder and Elda were wonderful, prompt, professional, and very attentive. The beds were comfortable. We have unfortunately stayed during a bit of a cold snap, and the pool is not heated, and so we were not able to use it as much as we wanted. Everything else was fabulous. There are several restaurants within walking distance or a short drive, without having to go into Tulum. For a quiet out of the way stay, would absolutely recommend.

Everything was perfect. All of the reviews were exactly right on as were the photos. The food that Elda prepared was fresh and tasty. There is usually enough to have leftovers the day that she did not cook for us. And she left the extra groceries so we were able to maximize what we spent on the food. Such a great option and treat!We would go back in a heartbeat.

The Best!

You cannot find a better experience than this place! I am in the culinary world and this kitchen is incredibly equipped! The on property hosts could not be better. GREAT PLACE!

Wonderful

The caretakers Elder and Elda were wonderful and their cooking was amazing. They made us feel welcome and comfortable. Would recommend and consider coming back to stay again

Paradise in Mexico

We had a great stay in Tulum, the property is idyllic and the waves crashing on the shore provide the perfect backdrop for sipping margaritas from the pool. The property was just as advertised and the caretakers took amazing care of us. Great location for exploring the rest of the Tulum area as well. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful ocean views

Great rental right on the water. Casual restaurants nearby. Great snorkeling in the bay right around the point. Super helpful caretakers and great food! Highly recommend. Our group was all adults but would be great for kids/families, too.

Just an awesome spot

Plenty of room ...pool was pristine .... waters at the beach were perfect .... elder and elda were excellent host and property was kept perfectly clean the entire time we were there and elda's cooking was beyond fabulous !

Quiet location

The house is super spacious and worked well for our group. Felt secluded and safe! We enjoyed the beach and pool and elder and his wife are the best hosts. Had lunch cooked for us one day and it was amazing. Loved going for a quiet dinner at the boutique hotels near by but also only 20 minutes from Tulum beach, cenotes and ruins. It was a great trip!

Stunning Trip!!

Absolutely perfect vacation with friends!! The caretakers were amazing and so helpful for us, made a fantastic dinner for us as well. The whole stay was perfect from start to finish. We all loved the location, having our own private beach and pool.. I would recommend this property to anyone. Large beautiful home was big enough for all of us to have our own space and come together to hang out as well. Absolutely LOVE this property.

Beautiful Ocean Front

Five adults, teen and pre teen. Private, secure, with just the right amount of indoor family space and outdoor lounging and pool play. Caretakers are wonderful and responsive. Close to Tulum and many sightseeing and action activities. Newly built Tulum Airport was a bonus for us. Our only dislike was the condition of the road. Very rough and bumpy getting to the villa at the end of the road.

bachelorette trip

the house was great and the family onsite took such great care of us. we loved the pool and the cooking/cleaning services. the only concern we had was that there were a few power outages that left us without electricity and water for two nights, but not the host's fault. as other reviews state, the road to the property is very bumpy and it takes about 15 minutes so plan accordingly.

Large, very nice home managed by nice people

Pretty home with space for a large group. We were there in rainy weather, but greatly enjoyed ourselves. Our on-property cook was excellent. Two hesitations in giving this property our highest rating: the beach was mostly coral and afforded only short walk opportunities, and a condominium building is being constructed right next door. Otherwise, 5 stars.

Gorgeous place!

The house was absolutely stunning and Elder/Elda were amazing. The cooking is highly recommended. We unfortunately did lose power and water for a night like some other guests which wasn’t ideal. There was also a fair amount of construction noise and debris that came our way. Like others said, for travel planning, the house is one of the furthest on the dirt road so the trip from the main roads takes significantly longer than the mapped suggestions. For the value and experience, this house was absolutely perfect.

Quintessential Vacation

Beautiful property in a central location. We visited Akumal, Tulum, Playa del Carmen and Cozumel. We felt very safe and enjoyed amazing meals all week. We had Elda cook for us on night one and it was a wonderful meal and Elda’s fish was the best we had all week (and we had lots of great fish dishes!!) sea turtles arrived almost every night to lay eggs. Wish we could book again to see the baby turtles hatch. Very safe area - guard Shak is 1 mike in and the house is another mile past that. We are at 2 of the restaurants right on that one mile strip and we were not disappointed. Fantastic place to get the best of the area.

Amazing vacation house

Our family enjoyed the week of sun, fun, and relaxation!! The house is spacious and immaculate and the sitting areas and beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. The icing on the cake is Elda and Elder !!! They are gracious hosts and wonderful cooks. They spoiled us and it was the most relaxed vacation I have ever experienced. The ocean and beach are rocky but beautiful and the constant ocean breeze was heavenly. We all enjoyed the swimming pool and had the chance to witness a sea turtle beaching and laying her eggs and returning to the sea!! It was a serendipity!
