Nestled high on a ridge top along scenic road on St Croix's prestigious North Shore sits Brimstage Estate. The 3 bedroom/2.5 bath villa offers 180 degree views of St Croix that stretch from the North to South shore and include; the US and British Virgin Islands, Salt River, Buck Island, Green Cay, and Christiansted.

The salt water pool with swim up pool bar and sunken-outdoor kitchen offer an ideal place to enjoy an afternoon cocktail and burgers on the grill or perhaps end your evening sipping champagne as you gaze out upon the twinkling lights of Christiansted at night and the million dollar view. New for 2025 is a sundeck allowing for morning to late afternoon sunshine with comfortable lounge chairs.

Ideally situated facing east this charming Caribbean villa takes full advantage of the constant trade winds. The main villa consists of an open living/dining room, kitchen, master bedroom and bath, and half bath. There are 20 foot open beamed ceilings and lovely ceramic floors throughout. Step through the double French doors out onto the wraparound arched gallery that has an outdoor dining table and sitting area as well as shaded porch swing. Just off the main patio besides the pool with swim up pool bar and outdoor kitchen is the separate Caribbean themed guest sleeping quarters with a large private deck. The two bedrooms have separate entrances and share a common bathroom. One of the bedrooms has a king size bed and the other has two queen size beds. The villa is equipped with a 40K generator, so you will always have power.

The villa is located mid-island on St Croix and is within 15 minutes of Christiansted and 20 minutes of Frederiksted. It is 5 minutes from Cane Bay and the beach, snorkeling, and diving and 10 minutes from golfing at Carambola. There is a tenant living in the separate guest house on the hillside below the main house in case of emergencies; your privacy is their main concern.

The villa comes equipped with lots of extras such as beach towels, beach chairs, pool floats, various coolers, assorted snorkel gear, cd’s, dvd’s etc.

The driveway and exterior parking area/entrance are monitored by camera for your safety. The Hot Tub that was previously mentioned in reviews has been removed and the space is now a sun deck area that allows for late afternoon sunbathing.

Best Views and VRBO on Island

This is the place to be! The views are extraordinary! My husband and our best friend couple visited for our 10 year wedding anniversary from 12/29/24-1/5/25 during the Crucian Christmas Festival. Though one of the busiest times on St. Croix, we had an amazing time! We even took a day to check out a few properties with an amazing local realtor while we were here in hopes of an investment opportunity. Even the properties we viewed didn't have the amazing views as our VRBO with Wally. The layout of the residence is conducive to privacy and relaxation. It was very hard to aquire a vehicle, so if you plan your trip during Christmas/New Year's, book your vehicle well in advance with Centerline or Olympic. You MUST have a vehicle! The entrance to this VRBO is a little scary as the drive is straight-- up. But was very manageable after the initial drive up. Try to arrive early enough to find the place in the light, it is much more difficult after dark. The lock box was a bit tricky, but we figured it out. Also be aware that there are many potholes across the island and the locals drive fast. They will also cross the centerline to avoid potholes and can create a few close call situations. As we were here during New Year's Eve, we arrived back to the VRBO to ring in the New Year. We could see the fireworks in Christiansted from the deck. Great stay with great communication

We enjoyed our stay at the villa immensely. Great common spaces to spend time in together, and very clean rooms. BEAUTIFUL master suite! The kitchen is larger than it appears in pics! Our only “heads up” is that this (like many vacation rentals on the island) is up a windy road with a significant elevation increase. It made for beautiful views, but also made us need to plan our comings and goings efficiently because the drive can be a challenge for those prone to carsickness (especially in the backseat!)

Fantastic stay

Loved our stay. House is very accomodating. Kitchen has eveything you need. Separate living quarters from the big house for privacy was nice. Views are amazing. Close to Cane Bay and short drive to everything else. Host and managers very responsive. Don't hesitate. Book this property today.

What a wonderful home - to say the views are fantastic is an understatement. Simply breathtaking. This home was perfect for a multi-generational family vacation. Gorgeous views and Spacious house

We loved our stay there and we will remember this place for its space, amazing views and gorgeous sunrises. The area is quite and peaceful. The kitchen was well equipped and functional. Our two college aged kids took advantage of the different areas of the terrace and the pool. Wally gave us good tips for shopping and was prompt to reply to our messages. This place is the perfect vacation home.

The view and the home are wonderful!

Perched on the hillside, the views are simply amazing.. Loved watching the rain storms roll by! The home was very comfortable and felt homey to us. We lived on the patio and in the pool. The kitchen and BBQ were easy to use and move around in and about. It was a nice relaxing break from the world. Hope to stay there again soon. Thank you Wally and Mgmt team for a wonderful time! The view! Amazing

We loved our stay and the host, Wally, was so communicative and kind! If youre looking for a comfortable stay and a view for miles and miles you cant go wrong. The only downside for us was that we had a lot of windy days during our 2 weeks which actually made it too cold to use the pool much. The locals tell me december is often windy (as opposed to the normal breezy). Believe it or not the temperature was in the high 80s every day. We werent cold but didnt need to cool off. Lol

Great location and views

This property did have great views out onto Christiansted and its bay and beyond to the east and southeast. The breezes from the elevation did help keep the bugs at bay (midgies, no seeums, etc) that we battled at the beach. The amenities, including quality cookware and cutlery that we walways find lacking at rentals were of good quality to allow us to cook our meals with ease. What we did not know from the listing is that there is another home on property very close to this house whose occupants are actively in and out and their stairway faces the patio. Also, the pool is solar heated so the temperature seems to vary depending on the amount of sun during the morning and early afternoon when the water is actively pumped to the roof. We had a rainy and overcast week so the pool stayed at a cooler Caribbean temperature versus a true heated pool. We very much enjoyed our stay and Wally was very kind to check in with us throughout the week to make sure we were doing well with everything.

A great view

The title of the listing is not an exaggeration -- the views are amazing from near the top of the range. This was our fourth trip to STX and we all agreed, this was the best house we have stayed at in that time. Close enough to Christiansted that the drive to town is only around 20 min. but also far enough away to be calm and quiet. Communication with the owner and the local property managers was great, even though we had no issues.

Beautiful Place

The place was beautiful and very comfortable. Host was very nice. Only complaint would be having the neighbor so close. There is a boom box in the living room that is Bluetooth and is pretty loud so we had a complaint about the music. There was also a storm that hit us and the kitchen window didn’t close so we woke up to a huge mess in the kitchen. Water was everywhere. But other than that, it was an amazing stay and great location.

This place is amazing with spectacular views! We had 6 adults with plenty of room for everyone.. had the windows and doors open all the time with a breeze coming through.. definitely recommend a stay here!

Four divers had a great time

The pictures don't do justice, the views from the decks are just spectacular. Our trip was late May/early June and we hit the weather and temperature perfectly, 70 degrees in the evenings with nice breeze to keep the bugs away. We spent our evenings out on the decks just soaking in the views with a drink. The inside of the house is very nice and the kitchen worked very well for us since we cooked most of our meals - well stocked with dishes and utensils. I recommend loading up on food essentials on your initial grocery run, store is about 15 minutes away. We were on St Croix for diving and really enjoyed Cane Bay, more so than the west end. This was primarily because all the Cane Bay sites were easily accessible from shore. However, the pier at Fred is a must dive. The house is ~15 minutes to Cane Bay and its a fun drive (best to have a truck). The owner Wally is an excellent host and made everything very easy. Mindy the property manager was also very attentive and was there to help with anything if needed. Highly recommend this property and would stay there again.

Two week winter break

Brimstage is very comfortable and well appointed. Plenty of options for sitting on the deck and enjoying the magnificent view. We mainly cook dinner in rather than go out and the grill, oven, and stovetop were all in good working order. The ice maker and blender were put to good use making Cruzan Confusion drinks and other tropical cocktails! The owner Wally was very helpful and had some great suggestions for our time on island and the on-island co-host Mindy also welcomed us, and both were very timely responding to any questions we might have had. we would come back here in a heartbeat and hopefully will some day!

Amazing views!

We had a wonderful family vacation here! It was our first time to St. Croix. We did Atv tour, bioluminescence kayak tour, scuba diving, snorkeling etc. It was awesome and Brimstage was centrally located. Management was extremely responsive and helpFul. We can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful Trip

We had a wonderful time staying at Estate Clairmont. We stayed the first week of October, 2022. The Villa was great. It was clean and comfortable. The view from this Villa is absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend this Villa and I cannot wait to return. Wally was wonderful to work with.

Island paradise

We rented Brimstoke for 3 weeks and it was hard to say goodbye. The first week was a girl’s getaway for me and two friends to celebrate collective momentous birthdays. I loved showing the island to my friends, but we also put aside time to just enjoy the patio and the views. When my friends left, my husband joined me and we spent 2 of the best weeks together that I can remember. This beautiful house and setting allowed my husband to unwind and find his happy place like none other. It is a perfect mid-island location from which to explore. But again we made sure to set time aside to enjoy the patio with the pool, hot tub, and endless views each day. Fantastic trip! We’ve been to St.Croix several times and have always stayed in resorts. Never again!

Brimstage is Beautiful

We enjoyed our stay at Brimstage. Wally, Paul and Marti were very accommodating and always helped us when we had questions. The kitchen is huge, as is the master bedroom. The other two bedrooms were a good size also. The living room area is adorable and comfortable. The outdoor space is fabulous, along with the beautiful views. It’s windy though. Hot tub is great! Plenty of beach towels, beach chairs, coolers. Washer and dryer is a plus. The pool is gorgeous, but it’s cold, but that didn’t bother us as we beached it everyday. I give this property a big thumbs up, A+!!

Villa was just like explained and as pictures show. Except view is even better. Highly recommend!

Wally was great owner to work with. Very responsive both via email and over the phone. Villa was exactly as represented in photos; with the exception of the view being even better. Pool seemed a little cold but once you jump in it’s fine. Wally explained it’s heated using pump and solar panels so it’s the warmest about 2:30 in afternoon if I remember right. This time of year the strong breezes are very evident given the homes elevation; which is responsible for the unbelievable views, particularly to the the North. I spent every morning lounging in chair and staring at the Caribbean Sea to North. Just mesmerizing. We also used the hot tub nearly every night. Hammock got plenty of use as well. We also used the grill most evenings. Kitchen was very well stocked. Master bedroom/bath, living room and kitchen are very large. The other two bedrooms/bath, which are close, but detached from home was nice since our two children are both college age. I love the architecture of the ceilings. The mid island location made virtually everything accessible within 20-25 minutes with exception of far East end (Udall point) about 45 minutes away. It’s worth the drive though! We stayed at the villa for a week. This was the first time that I can remember that I wasn’t ready to go home and sleep in my own bed. I wish we’d been able to stay longer. I always ask myself if I would stay here again to rate the VRBO. In this case, we absolutely will. Very highly recommend this villa.

Christmas vacation

My wife and two daughters stayed at Brimstage I’ve the Christmas holiday. From the time Paul met us at the airport, until we had to unfortunately leave, we had the best time. Family flew in from other parts of the US, and all were jealous of our house and location. You can’t go wrong here, and the trade winds made it much more comfortable! Relaxing Getaway

We recently returned from a restful and relaxing stay at Brimstage Estate(Clairmont). Communication was excellent before and during our stay. Wally the host answered all my questions and even checked in on us during our stay. The property management company was also great to communicate with. The villa was exactly as you see in pictures. The views are beautiful and when the sun is shining is looks spectacular. There is definitely a breeze and it is great for keeping you cool on a hot day. However at times especially in the evening we did find the breeze a bit much. The outside of the villa has everything you need...comfy sun loungers, saltwater pool, hot tub, bbq, eating area and of course the relaxing hammock that was great for afternoon naps. The inside of the villa is also wonderfully equipped. Well stocked kitchen, lots of towels(bath and beach), washer and dryer, nice master bathroom and comfy bed. It was a plus having AC in the bedroom for sleeping at night. The villa is centrally located. We rented a car and easily drove to restaurants, into Christianstead and Frederickstead and beaches. The villa is very private and not surrounded by other properties which is a bonus if you are looking for quiet but also if you want to play your music. It's always 5 o'clock somewhere:) We have stayed at a few villas and this was definitely one of our favourites. We highly recommend it. Enjoy!
