We loved this beautiful historic home right on the beach. It was very clean, well‑maintained, and well‑equipped for an extended stay. The only concern was that the stairs to the beach are in disrepair and need attention, but it didn’t take away from our overall experience.

Great property with lots of character. We loved the sunrise on the beach and happy hour in the hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked. The property was easy to find.

Great stay

We had a wonderful stay. The house is large enough for the whole family with a spacious patio and easy beach access . We were close to all the attractions and restaurants. I would definitely stay in this home again!

Amazing property

The location of this property is perfect. A quiet private beach. We really enjoyed grilling out with ocean views. The hot tub is a nice touch also.

Family Daytona Beach vacation

We had a great family vacation in this beautiful ocean front home! The property managers were very accommodating with our group and very swift in handling and answering questions that we had. We would definitely rent this property again!

Perfect Beach House

My family had an amazing stay at this oceanfront beach house! Everything was very clean and the house is fully equipped with everything needed for the kitchen and beach/hot tub. The location couldn’t be better with shops and a ton of food options nearby. We will definitely be coming back!

Family Stay

Overall, we had a very good experience with the property. Management was very responsive to our needs. The property itself is dated and could use some upgrades, but we had plenty of room for our family.

Beautiful views and large living space with plenty for all to do.

We were rebooked because of a previous cancellation by another homeowner. We were both relieved and happy with the outcome and enjoyed our stay.

Embry-Riddle Graduation Weekend

This home is beautiful, comfortable, clean and has everything you need for a vacation on the beach. I felt like I wasn't even in Daytona Beach while on this property. Everyone in our family loved the house and location. Also, the rental agents were very easy to work with -- which is so refreshing. They were always pleasant and ready to help if possible. Really can't say enough positive things about our stay.

Luxurious Clean Home

The property was as advertised, the only drawback would be it says 4 bedrooms, it's really 3 bedrooms with 4 beds, the 4th bedroom is basically an office that has a day bed in it. Everything else was perfect, large living room with big screen TV, kitchen is well stocked with nice cooking surfaces, big dining room table. Would recommend to anyone and would stay here again for sure.

We were sorry to see your review as the home being historic is what makes it unique and it's very well-preserved. To complain that it is an old house is not a valid concern. We advertise the home as being both historic and having a closed beach access. We are extremely clear in the listing description about this and even pointed it out to you when you asked after check-in. You had very low rates because of the beach access closure and were informed yet still chose to leave an unfair review. We hope other guests reading this can know that we correctly inform guests of all information, as noted in the listing description.

Great Florida Escape

Had fun at this house for 8 nights. Great location, clean home - had rains almost everyday, but still family enjoyed. Few minor and tactical things can be improved to make this experience even more enjoyable: use new towels, linens, provide basics - soaps, enough toilet papers etc. Keep ocen facing door locks simple :-)Barring these small items, home is really clean and great. You can relax in front (gated), porch (very unique varandah for family sit outs), patio with great Atlantic views (we had rains, but views were great). Shall stay here again.

The view can't be beat

This older home is quite charming, lots of character and well taken care of. What did it for us was the spectacular view and the beautiful master bedroom. The pics on vrbo give the impression that the house is bigger than reality - but there was still plenty of room for our large family. The only negative: the hot tub didn't work and our adult kids were really looking forward to using it. We would certainly rent this house again in the future.

Family vacation

The property was beautiful and just as described on the listing. Our area of the beach was not very crowded. There was plenty to do in the area. The boardwalk was a bit too busy for us. The weather was beautiful during all of our stay. Our only recommendations would be to check the bushes for trash. We cleaned it up, but there was a lot of other people’s trash that I’m sure blew off the deck, and we would recommend a heads up about gardener’s and others coming to do things on the property as it can be a bit startling when someone shows up unexpectedly. We would rent this place again if it was available.

Very impersonal did not have a direct number when problem arose such as the icemaker quit working and the gate code to enter the property I was told somebody was coming on Monday to fix the icemaker. They never came but some random email said I was getting a 50 discount for having to go to the gas station and haul ass to the house and put it in a refrigerator freezer that would not keep it from melting overnightThe house is fantastic perfect location. The master bedroom is exceptional. The only drawback the other room does not even have a TV and the temperature is 10 to 12 hotter in the other rooms.

We do indeed provide a direct phone number for calls and even a direct number for texting. We also exchanged many texts with you from this number so we are confused on your comment with this. We were going to arrange a vendor but it turned out the freezer was a complicated Sub-Zero model that takes a special vendor from Orlando to fix so there was a waitlist. We did let you know all of this in the email you mentioned where we also credited you the $50 for having to get ice right across the street. We feel that was very fair and it is truly just right across the street. The temperatures in the room are not different, we tested each room just to be certain. Yes, some rooms do not have TVs but this is all disclosed in the listing at booking.

Beautiful View. Would stay here again strictly based on the view. House wasn't very clean, dusty everywhere and kids toys were found under the coffee table so not sure if the floors were even cleaned after the last rental. Outside could use a good cleaning, power washing. Mini Golf course is pathetic. It's literally a tiny strip of astro-turf with a hole. Master bedroom bed is a bit soft. The sheets were all wrinkly and bunched up. Had to pretty much remake the bed to be comfortable. The hot tub was not used. I tried to remove the cover but the bar was not on correctly and half up and down and could not personally do it and didn't want to force something and break it so it was not used. But even with all the cleanliness issues I'd book again for the view and listening to the waves.

One of our favorite things to hear is that guests found their own little slice of paradise during their stay. Safety and cleanliness are our #1 priority as an agency. To ensure all the properties meet our safety and cleanliness standards, they are inspected as soon as a guest checks out, then the property is cleaned, and then the property is inspected again. Regardless, any guest who feels a property is not up to par is requested (in the rental contract and arrival instruction sheet) to call our office so that we can send cleaners to the property immediately and address any concerns. We do show a photo of the mini golf section and are very clear that it's not an elaborate course; it's just a fun little add on for kids in the side yard. All of the concerns you mentioned we could have resolved for you immedaitely had you let us know about the hot tub, cleaning, etc, but you told us everything was great when we asked.

Bike Week stay

The house was very nice. A few minor issues but most everything was good. The bedroom suite sinks drained very slow, all of the adults thought the mattresses could be replaced. We found the entertainment area tv to be very complicated and until we loaded our own apps pretty useless. The main gate could use some work. The sensor that opened it on the way out hardly ever worked. The opener was slow to work and did not open the gate every time. The key pad was the only sure way to open and close the gate. The beach access was disappointing but we knew that going in so there is no complaint about it, it just would have been nice and we would have used the beach more often. The outdoor shower did not appear to be in working condition either. It also would have been nice for and garden hose to be available in the driveway so that we could rinse our bikes off daily.

Very happy with the location and the historical aesthetic of the home, with modern upgrades. Had a maintanence issue that was handled promptly, although it likely was the culprit for a very strong musty/mildewy smell in the home that was the biggest drawback of our stay. Even after washing clothes when we got home I can still smell it on our clothing. I know it will likely fade, however, and I believe the issue will be resolved so hopefully this won't be an issue for future rentals. My only other issue is out of the homeowners control, i.e. the insects. We did not get to enjoy as much time outside on the patio/balcony as we would have liked as the sand flies were abundant and biting, there were a number of large flying insects around the patio area daily, and we had to take care of several *large* palmetto bugs inside. Bugs are bugs. They are everywhere no matter what you do. It did detract from the experience, unfortunately. We found other things to do inside, but we paid a premium to be on the beach and would've liked to soak more of it in beyond the water's edge. I would absolutely still recommend this property, just bring bug spray maybe.

We were concerned by your review so we went to the home. We noticed no smell at all outside of a normal, historic home smell. We sent over two different staff members to check but no one noticed anything unusual. It is advertised as an historic home and is indeed one. You noted bugs outside but yes, it is normal to have bugs outside, especially in Florida. We have no pest issues in the home and the property receives regular pest control.
