Perfect Getaway

Missy was sweet and communicative from the start. The space was clean and bright, with very thoughtful touches. This was the perfect spot to relax for a couple days and welcome the New Year. We would love to stay here again!

A wonderful weekend getaway!

We had the pleasure of staying with Missy + Geoff this past weekend and have nothing but wonderful things to say! The place was clean, the hosts were lovely, and we had an amazing time! Would definitely love to stay again for future quiet getaways!

BEST GETAWAY EVER!

This is by far the best place we have ever stayed. From the beautiful gardens to the hummingbirds drinking nectar from the flowers, from the beautiful suite where the hosts have thought of everything to the great bathroom and calming shower, from the relaxing hot tub to the cooling and revitalizing pool, from the peaceful fire pit to the convenient gas grill, from the comfy couch to the supportive bed, from the ice maker to the fridge and freezer, from the oven to the stove top and even the dishwasher too. These hosts are spectacular and they were very accommodating and attentive. THANK YOU for a memorable end-of-the-summer getaway.

Peace & Serenity

Sweet Dreams Retreat is a wonderful place to stay, relax and unwind. The space is perfect and the host has thought of all possible needs! We will stay again when we go back to The Berkshires.

A Gem in the Berkshires

My husband and I really enjoyed our time at The Sweet Dreams Retreat! The guest suite is so peaceful, cozy, and clean with every detail thought out by the hosts (the fireplace and access to the jacuzzi during the brisk Fall weekend were the icing on the cake). We would definitely stay here again!

Wedding Anniversary Trip

We celebrated our 27th Wedding Anniversary at the Sweet Dreams Retreat. Beautiful cozy room, beautiful flowers on the property. Missy and Geoff are great host, I made a mistake on dates to stay, but Missy was accommodating and offered us the extra night with no issues. We spent time with Missy and her family had delicious birthday cake, sat around the fire pit, watching fire works and listening to my husband play guitar. We went hiking nearby, beautiful quiet forest, and lake. If you want to relax go see Missy and Geoff at Sweet Dreams Retreat!

Relaxing time in the Berkshires

Our stay was wonderful. The apartment suite was exactly as described. Missy and Geoff made everything pleasant and thoughtful with excellent communication. We enjoyed the hot tub immensely. We highly recommend to anyone interested in a carefree, relaxing and comfortable time. We hiked Steven’s Glen and enjoyed wonderful dinners at cafe Triskele and the Old Inn on the Green.

Beautiful little getaway

My partner and I took a last minute trip up to Melissa's place over thanksgiving and had an absolutely lovely visit. The place is clean, modern, and sweet with thoughtful amenities in every part of the space and the location was great to explore the Berkshires. The owners were incredibly kind and generous people with excellent communication and even brought us a nice plate of food from their own t-day dinner. Great stay, highly recommend!

Lovely Place for a Couple's Weekend Away

Missy and Geoff have created a lovely ground floor suite in their home that will work beautifully for a couple looking for a Berkshires getaway. Though compact, the suite is beautifully furnished and thoughtfully stocked in terms of supplies and cooking equipment. The space is used to maximum advantage. You're just a short drive from beautiful wooded walks or exploring Great Barrington, Stockbridge, and Lenox (a little further). The hosts live above the suite, but are both completely unobtrusive and always willing to respond to any requests. The surrounding grounds are also beautifully landscaped with nice spots to sit and read.

Charming Property and Wonderful Hosts

Charming and impeccably renovated cottage apartment. The owners have provided a wonderful retreat with perfect attention to detail. We felt very comfortable and welcome. We loved the private porch with it's comfy chairs and cute gas fire pit! The owner was super responsive and warm. We highly recommend this special place!

Simply Perfect!

Sweet Dreams Retreat is just that! So beautifully appointed, you can't help but relax the instant you walk through the door. Attention to detail and comfort everywhere you look, fully stocked with everything you could need and more. Missy and Geoff have really thought of everything. Wonderful Fall Getaway

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! Sweet Dreams Retreat was immaculate and the perfect size and location for a couple looking to get away. Missy and Geoff were responsive and accessible hosts. The Berkshires and neighboring towns were convenient and charming, the leaves were beautiful, and the outdoor hot tub was an amazing perk! Our dog, Ranger, loved all the sniffs too! We would recommend it without hesitation!

The perfect weekend getaway

This was truly the perfect weekend getaway. Melissa and Geoff were lovely. The space was beautiful, well appointed, clean and comfortable. The grounds are absolutely stunning. We had everything we needed for a quiet relaxing weekend away from the hustle and bustle of Boston. I highly recommend this space for anyone who needs an oasis to unplug. The town is also very cute. Very friendly local folks!

What a beautiful stay!

Missy and Geoff have a lovely, cozy space that affords privacy, peace, and quiet hidden away in the berkshires. Missy even went out of her way to bring us a Christmas bottle of wine. You are staying in the lower level apartment of their home but never once did we feel that our privacy was compromised. It was truly a wonderful experience. Katie and Ed

Wonderful stay at the Sweet Dreams Retreat

The Sweet Dreams Retreat is a great place! The space was warm and inviting, the hosts were kind and attentive to our requests. Communication with them was very easy. The location was easy to find and check-in was a breeze. There's a patio with a gas fireplace right outside the door to the private entrance. There's a large hot tub on-site and it was nice to take a soak at the end of the day. The walk-in shower is great for a nice relaxing shower as well. It gets nice and hot. & it stays that way for quite a while The couch and bed are very comfortable and this place has everything you need. We cannot say enough wonderful things about this awesome find and we can't wait to come back soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Adored the whole house, and an amazing experience

this is our first time vrbo trip and it was an amazing experience we loved every minute of it. the house was adorable. it had everything we needed. we used the jacuzzi, pool, fire pit, and most of all was the barbecue. The barbecue was my dads favorite spot. This was a much needed trip to get away from all the commotion of boston and a great way to celebrate my mom’s birthday. So glad that I could sit down, turn on the tv and have the office waiting for me after a long day of family activities. Melissa and Geoff were great, we wouldn’t have had this experience if it weren’t for them.

Sweet Dreams Retreat

The hosts Missy and Geoff were great and very responsive if we needed anything. They did a nice job in furnishing the place where we stayed which was part of the basement in their home. The thing about staying there in the Berkshires was it is far away from all the major towns, nowhere to walk for exercise as road has no shoulder and is curvy with dips. The house is in an outlying area of the Berkshires and I had trouble with my phone reception which was very annoying. Great hosts, furnished nicely but not good for our needs on a two week getaway. Fine for a long weekend.

Everything we needed, everything we wanted, and more!

We had a great stay and would highly recommend Sweet Dreams Retreat. Melissa & Geoff were gracious hosts. Excellent communication with fast response to all inquiries. They reside on site and yet we always felt we had total privacy. This property fully met our needs and wants for a week-long vacation stay. Kitchen sufficient to prepare basic meals. Very comfortable bed/bedroom. Spacious living area. Air conditioning works great. Fast and reliable WiFi. Laundry machines that are quiet and efficient. A lovely patio area just outside the entrance. The pool and hot tub were an absolute delight, especially after returning from a bike ride in the summer heat. Even a shed to store our bikes and protect them from the elements. The place has a very rural, woodsy feel, and yet somehow there were no bugs! And believe me, my wife is a mosquito magnet, yet we were able to hang outside by the pool for hours without the slightest concern for biting insects. Overall, we fully enjoyed our stay, took advantage of almost all of the many amenities of the property, and ended our week totally unwound and ready to return to real life.

Simply Amazing!

My husband and I both absolutely loved Sweet Dreams! We came for a long weekend to celebrate our Anniversary and I couldn't have found a better place to stay. Directions and check in were perfect. Missy was awesome to communicate with right from booking. The place is immaculate and set up and decorated beautifully. We had everything we needed. We didn't do any cooking other than coffee and toast but easily could have with everything provided. The bed was super comfortable and plenty of room for our clothes and suitcases. Love that there was a washer and dryer which came in handy for our wet bathing suits after enjoying the awesome hot tub on the deck. We had never been (or even heard of!) Sandisfield and what a wonderful area it is! We absolutely loved the winding country roads lined with fields, orchards, farms and the occasional gorgeous home! We explored Tolland State Park on our bikes, hiked Clam River Trail, had a wonderful dinner at The New Boston Inn (learned about the resident "ghost!"), ate at 51 Park in Lee (yum!), and explored quaint Stockbridge. Another highlight was getting to see John Legend at Tanglewood (only a 40 minute drive)! Because this was a last minute decision we weren't prepared but Missy kindly lent us lawn chairs. She also shared delicious vegetables from her amazing garden! Missy and Geoff were the perfect hosts. They were right there to answer any questions but definitely gave us our privacy. We can't wait to go back!

Just the Spot. Take Advantage of this Gem!

At the last minute, my wife and I decided to try to get away over an Autumn three-day weekend. This new listing popped up, situated in a place know for its fall beauty. It was just the spot for a fall getaway for two! It is beautiful inside. Comfortable, clean, well-decorated. It is also very spacious inside. Weather permitting there’s also room to spread out with a cute little sitting area outside the door to the unit, plus we were welcome to use the sitting area and propane fire pit on the very large, covered deck attached to the main house. All great places for reading, coffee and being cozy on crisp mornings and evenings. The unit had a well equipped kitchenette (Coffeemaker, Keurig and electric kettle!) with tea, coffee and snacks also available. Although there’s no oven currently, there is a nice range top and microwave, both of which we put to good use. The location is rural, quiet and peaceful. The yard itself is large with vegetable gardens and a fire ring. Hardly a sound to interrupt your relaxation. There were also many lovely places to visit for walks and hikes just a short drive away. Since we were there at apple-picking time, we also visited the great orchard just a short hop down the road. The owners live in the main part of the house and are communicative and very gracious. Just the type of people you’d want to be renting from. They couldn’t have been nicer. Take advantage of this gem!
