We have stayed at this property many times, we love it. From the time you walk in to soft music playing, lights on to welcome you, and of course spotless inside and out. This house has everything you need and more! We already booked our stay for next year!

This is our second time staying here and we will definitely be back again! It is so beautiful and peaceful. Each bedroom having its own bathroom is a huge bonus! Plus, it is extremely clean and the little added touches to make you feel welcome were perfect. The golf carts and paddle boats are always a huge hit!

This was our fifth stay at this fabulous property and it was just as memorable as all the others. This was our first fall stay and it was amazing! We all enjoyed coffee and conversation by the fireplace in the mornings, watching the wildlife and seeing the colorful woods either by foot or by golf cart on the trails. Another fall stay is being planned. All of the Woodland Trails staff take pride in keeping the grounds and house in pristine condition. Thank you all for what you do! We are extremely grateful for John and Sandy's generosity for sharing this magnificent property!

Well, since this is our 5th or 6th year staying here, says it all! We really enjoy the lodge and use of golf carts and trails! It feels like coming home when we arrive! Everything is warm and welcoming, clean. Staff is helpful and friendly! We hope we will be able to come back again next year!

This is our fourth consecutive year of having a family vacation at Woodland Trails Lodge. This is the first time that we have been there in the summer. As is typical lately in Minnesota the weather can be a mixed bag. We happened to be at the lodge when the temperatures outside reached into the 90s with periods of smoke from the wildfires. Even with these temperatures the lodge stated cool and comfortable inside. As always, we enjoyed the using the golf carts and paddle boats; especially the Grandkids (ages 5 and 2). John and Sandra (the owners) or their staff are always available to answer and questions.We plan on returning next year for annual family vacation.

The rental was perfect for our six couples. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was equipped all cooking needs. Each bedroom was spacious with own beautiful bathroom, tub and shower. The fireplace was so nice during our stay because we had chilly days and the fireplace kept the space warm. The house is surrounded by gorgeous scenery with an abundance of wildlife. Wonderful walking/hiking trails too. Communication with VRBO and owners was seamless and any questions were answered quickly.

We have stayed at Woodland Trails many times before, and every time, I am so impressed with the host - how responsive they are if we have any questions or needs, and how well they maintain the house and surrounding property. It is such a perfect place to just getaway, unplug in beautiful surroundings and enjoy all of the deer, wild turkeys, birds (including the pileated woodpecker).

My family and I loved this place. It is hard for us to find a place that fits us all and this was absolutely perfect. The house is very lovely and spacious; we had plenty of room and enjoyed a fire in the fireplace both nights. The scenery and wildlife outdoors added the perfect touch. John was the perfect host, answered all questions in a timely manner. We are hopeful to be able to go back during a different season of the year. Highly recommend!

Serendipity, or luck, led us to rent Woodland Trails! A last minute cancellation at a different house had us scrambling! We saw the listing, jumped on it, and are so very glad! The home, property, and amenities are better than described. The kitchen is outfitted with all you need-even for our team of semi-pro chefs(2!!! dishwashers!) The bedrooms are all ensuite and everyone enjoyed the jetted tubs. The porches were perfect for early morning coffee, and the dining room was big enough for all of us together for dinners. The grandkids liked the separate TV room. But the property was the true star! We loved the trails, the bikes, the golf carts, and the paddleboats. The fire pit was perfect for s'mores, and long talks. Viewing the total Lunar eclipse was perfect from a paddleboat on the pond. Our photos of the Milky Way were phenomenal. The hosts were kind and responded promptly to queries. They stock all the necessities so you don't have to worry: dishwashing and laundry detergent were supplied, as was enough toilet paper. This was a last minute rental but we were treated as honored guests. We (grandparents, adult kids, and grandkids) all loved every minute of our time there!
