Second floor means easy access to tropical gardens and the ocean beyond. Quiet location features large private view deck and renovated interior. Doesn't get any better.


Large private condominium apartment at the resort condominium complex on the beach in sunny Kihei, Maui, Hawaii. 1 bedroom with private attached bathroom. 2nd bathroom down the hall with shower, large living area, dining area, kitchen with breakfast bar. PLUS, large private view deck looking out towards ocean. Beach chairs, pool /beach towels, full size appliances including air conditioning and washer dryer. Really, just hit the grocery store and you are set for the week!

General Info:
The Maui Sunset is located on over 5 acres of oceanfront at Kihei which is considered one of the best locations on the Valley Isle. Kihei is noted for its year-round sunshine, balmy trade winds, and soothing evening air. It is one of the driest and sunniest areas on the entire island, averaging only 10 inches a year! World famous swimming and snorkeling beaches are minutes away at one of the many sandy safe beaches at Kihei and nearby Wailea. Just a short distance (6 miles) from five championship 18 hole resort golf courses at Wailea and Makena. The two buildings frame and protect a large recreational area that is carefully attended and landscaped. The 60 foot swimming pool with its broad decks and abundance of pool furniture invites you to improve on your tan.

Nice Residence in Beautiful Settings

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay in a Premium One bedroom with partial ocean view was pleasant. The grounds are quite attractive leading to direct access to the ocean. Barbecue units were well maintained and convenient to use. Parking access was convenient. The description of the unit was accurate and the interior was clean and very well equipped. The availability of a guest bathroom and some beach equipment was greatly appreciated. The only downside was the neighbor's loud air conditioner noise next to the bedroom and the loud banging from a unit being remodeled upstairs.

If you’re looking for more of a comfortable home-away-from-home vibe rather than a hotel experience, this is such a great place to stay.Our unit wasn’t the most modern, but that honestly didn’t matter to us—it felt like home. We were a group of five and had plenty of space to be comfortable. Having a full kitchen was a huge bonus, especially when we wanted to cook our own meals, and having laundry right in the unit made such a difference during a longer trip. Our unit also had thoughtful extras like beach chairs, pool noodles, and even a football that we were free to use, which made our beach and pool days that much easier.The grounds at Maui Sunset are absolutely beautiful and so well maintained. We loved the pool—it was clean, well cared for, and had an incredible view toward the beach. The BBQs on the property were another great touch and gave us the chance to have relaxed family BBQ nights without having to go anywhere.And then there were the sunsets. They were incredible. Watching the sunset became a nightly ritual for us, and Maui Sunset really gives you one of the best seats in the house. Those evenings are some of the moments we’ll remember most from our trip.Having the beach so close was another huge highlight. I could grab my morning coffee, walk out of our unit, and be on the beach within about five minutes. There’s something pretty special about being able to start your day like that.A special shout-out has to go to Steve, the building supervisor, who genuinely made our stay even better. He was incredibly helpful, always pleasant, and gave us great tips that helped us experience more of the local Maui vibe. He was such a friendly presence that even our kids would make a point of saying hi to Steve whenever they saw him! Just an all-around great person who added something special to our stay.

ok overall

We made a last minute booking for Christmas and new year, so there weren't many options. The unit is clean but a bit small for us. The in-unit washer and dryer are convenient. The condo complex is close to Safeway and Times, but the neighborhood is kind of run down. The beach in front of the complex is not somewhere you could spend a whole day. The water is murky and there are many rocks. The pool is a bit cold but the spa is nice and a great place to watch sunset. This particular unit gets a lot of sun both in the mornings and afternoons. It was too hot to have breakfast on the balcony in the morning. Maybe the B building is better. The door code expired well before the supposed check-out time. The cleaning crew also arrived two hours before the supposed check-out time. This was extremely inconvient. The staff tried to help but couldn't resolve the issue. Overall it is an ok unit. For family with young kids, Lahaina/Kaanapali might be a better option.

The grounds are beautifully maintained. I don’t normally spend time at a pool while in Hawaii, but the pool area was a daily routine for us. Looking forward to another visit. We stayed in 211 A , excellent 1 bedroom unit. It was very well kept. The larger unit A321 where the larger family stayed had an amazing view. Would prefer the flooring to be like the 1 bedroom , but we spent MOST of our time outside.

Vibrant property with great pool, sunset views, and amenities

Reviewer Comments: Great place to stay on the south side with tons of snorkeling, many commercial options and not touristy like the west.Property is extremely well maintained, and everyone hangs out and has a good time. We grilled, used the pool almost daily, and walked to the beach for sunset. Rooms are spacious, clean, with good appliances - we cooked breakfast and dinner every day and felt like home. Would move there if I could.
