This was a great place to stay. It is a large, well-kept house with a spacious backyard in a very nice West Akron neighborhood. It is located close to the Merriman Valley, Fairlawn, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Blossom Music Center. Great house, great host. We will definitely stay here again.

Located in a great location to drive to all the metro parks and the national park areas. Host had great communication. House was charming with all its original wood, tile and bathroom fixtures. Nice cold ac to cool off after our hikes and great hot water lasted through multiple adults showering in the mornings.

We had a great stay at Dan's place! Dan was very communicative, even just checking in to make sure we didn't have any questions or concerns. The location was perfect for exploring the national park which is just what we did! My kids really enjoyed the backyard and porch area with toys. They called it their secret hideout! There are two great options of tables for having family dinners and we enjoyed watching the world cup games in the evening after the kids were in bed since the bedrooms are nice and separate from the family room. Plus we didn't see a single bug the whole time which we thought must have been magic. The whole place was just what we needed.

I was looking for a local property that would comfortably accommodate my mom, step-mom, and mother-in-law, all in their 70s. We required easy accessibility for limited mobility, plus separate, comfortable sleeping spaces and more than one bathroom.This house fit all the criteria. It's easy to access (only 2 steps up to the door)/on one level, has plenty of space, and is in a nice, quiet neighborhood close to everything. Didn't need to do a lot of cooking, but the kitchen had everything we could have needed to prepare meals. Plenty of towels, blankets, and other household items you might need. The back screened in porch would have been a great relaxing space if it wasn't still quite chilly! While the house is very dated in decor, it has been very well-maintained and was very clean, neat, and comfortable (beds were VERY comfortable - Moms reported sleeping very very well!). The host, Dan, is VERY communicative and responsive. They found a light out in the garage and reached out to him, he showed up to replace it within an hour. Check in and out was very smooth.We would certainly rent it again when the Moms or other family are in town!

The owner was very attentive to us when we contacted him. We had a minor question our first morning and he was there to help us within minutes! Also, it snowed one evening and the next morning we saw that he had already shoveled the walks. Plus a garage to use was so nice. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a great time! Dan was very attentive, making sure we had checked in OK and had everything we needed. The fenced-in backyard was perfect for my dog Sherbert to let off some steam and we loved taking walks in the beautiful neighborhood.
Sherbert plays with a toy while we watch TV.

Convenient and spacious

rooms are large, decor is authentic 1960s (clean and well-preserved), and location is great. Clear, timely, and concise communication from owner. Thanks for a great stay!

Best place in Akron

The house was in a great neighborhood, and came equipped with everything you could ask for. The Host, Dan was very welcoming and communicative, the best host we have ever had on VRBO for sure. We will definitely be seeking out this place the next time we stay in Akron!

This property was perfect and just felt like home. It was stocked with everything we needed and was a great location for all the points of interest in the in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The house seems like it was caught in time during the late 60's. The decor itself just made me smile every day that we were there. My dogs enjoyed the fenced backyard and the dog toys that were there to keep them occupied. I will recommend to all my friends.

Great Stay and Rental

House as listed in a great neighborhood close to market, restaurants and Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Dan was a great host and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I have family in this area and will certainly stay here on my next visit. We travel and rent a lot and this rental was great!

Great house for a Cuyahoga NP visit

Great find for weekend getaway.

Great location to visit Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Dan was wonderful in communicating and available for any questions. Nice fenced in yard for our gentle giant. Great area.

Great house! Fenced yard!!!

Great place. Perfect location, very nice and safe. It was fun looking at all the mansions in the neighborhood. Dave is very nice and answers text and calls. The house literally has everything one could possibly need, from kitchen to laundry room. We will definitely be back the next time we are we are in Akron.

Fall trip to Cuyahoga National Park

The house was very nice and in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Easy drive to CNP. Fenced in back yard was perfect for our dogs.

Nice house in a great location

Overall we thought the house was nice and in a great location. There was plenty of space for our family. Communication from the host was great. We really appreciated having two full bathrooms, the fenced in back yard, Sun room, and well stocked kitchen.

Weekend in Akron

This was a very comfortable house in a very nice neighborhood. We chose it because it has a fenced-in yard for our dog. Communication with the owner was very easy. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

Great place

Great place! We really enjoyed our vacation. This home is in a really nice, upscale and quiet neighborhood. Neighborhood alone is worth walking around and looking at all the different homes, some of which were built in the 20s in the Tudor style. Also, only about a half mile from the Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens. Fenced in yard was perfect for our dog. We would definitely stay here again.

I felt like I was staying at my grandmas house ( a good thing ). Comfy and clean. The layout of the home was perfect for my husband and our two teenage children. Our two dogs enjoy the freedom of being unleashed in the backyard., after a day of hiking at Cuyahoga. Dan, the host was very accommodating.The house had toys for the dogs to play with, as well as a few things for young children if you have them. The house was stocked with everything you would most likely need on your stay. We would definitely stay at this property again when visiting the area.
