There are numerous places to hike nearby. Views of mountains (including Pedernal) in all directions are stunning. Nearby attractions include Plaza Blanca, Georgia O'Keefe Welcome Center and Ghost Ranch. Easy drive to Taos and Santa Fe. A truly lovely place to rest, relax and take in all the nearby sites and activities.

The casita is beautifully decorated, has up-to-date kitchen appliances, and is immaculately clean. In most instances, the house alone would warrant a perfect 10. Add the scenic location, plus genuine privacy, with the sight and sound of the Rio Chama flowing nearby, and you’ll know, within the first few minutes on the property, that you want to come back.

Situated beautifully on the banks of the Chama river, this property offers sweeping vistas of the Abiquiú landscape bounded only by the endlessly blue New Mexico sky. And it features the amenities to enjoy it all! Whatever we needed in the kitchen we found. Bathrooms and bedrooms, the same. Coffee in the morning outside on the little patio is a must-you may even see a herd of crossing the river. We did. Stargazing from the hot tub was a highlight as well with the Milky Way showing off its cottony stripe each night. Meeting And meeting Tami was a pleasure. She was friendly and welcoming. We hope to come back.

The casita is spectacular in every way -- beautifully appointed, private, amazing location. The hosts, Tami and Jeff, are amazing as well, providing valuable insights for hikes, day trips, etc. Even the cookware was of the highest quality. Thank you for sharing!

This place is truly special. The home is exactly as described- spotlessly clean, peaceful, and the perfect place to slow down and unwind.The setting along the Rio Chama is absolutely magical. We loved spending time in the hot tub, gathering around the fire pit, and sitting by the little beach along the river, listening to the water and taking in the incredible sense of calm. Inside, every detail has been thoughtfully chosen. The décor is beautiful without feeling fussy, the kitchen is well stocked. . It was clear that a great deal of care went into creating such a welcoming space.This was one of those rare places that leaves you feeling rested long after you’ve left. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and hope we’ll have the chance to return someday.

This property is terrific! Quiet and beautiful with a view of the Chama River. The bedrooms were comfortable, the outdoor area was just lovely. The private hot tub is a plus. Great stay!

Great place to stay. Outstanding views. Dog friendly with plenty of room for a dog to run, under supervision, with access to the Chama river for retrieving fun. Really enjoyed the stay here!

Perfect Getaway

The casita was well appointed for a carefree weekend stay. Little touches throughout made a huge difference. The decor and linens were luxurious and the whole place was spotless. We can’t wait to return.

Lovely casita and beautiful location & views

This is a great casita, well stocked and very very comfortable. It has numerous place to sit outside and enjoy the view and the river running. Tami was a wonderful host and Lola, their pup is very sweet and friendly. I plan on returning!!

Wonderful stay

We were there for a few days in January. Some snow and cold, so we very much enjoyed fireplace, hot tub and beautiful landscape. Hosts made sure everything was as advertised. Would definitely return!

The Casita is very unique and well appointed. Very peaceful location surrounded by nature. The hosts are also awesome and we were in communication anytime it was needed. We’ll definitely be back.

Lovely place

Tami and Jeff were wonderful hosts with their cozy casita., which had everything we needed. The views from the casita were stunning and peaceful. Getting to the sights nearby was easy, especially with the information provided in their welcome letter. Will return to stay at the casita again.

This property epitomizes the word “enchantment”. It was a perfect base for visiting this part of the “Land of Enchantment”. The hot tub was ideal after a long day of hiking and to watch the full moon rise. The fireplace was perfect on a rainy evening. Very pet friendly, treats were awaiting our fur baby. Incredible views, and our host, Tami couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful.

A Gem in the Rio Chama Valley

What gorgeous views we see from Viento del Rio! The casita is perfect in every way - location, comfort, amenities. Tami is a gracious host, making sure all our needs are met. Definitely, a place I will return to. Thank you for the memories!
