We just finished a week at this property, and it was amazing. The house, host, and the view did not disappoint. Absolutely beautiful. St John is one of our favorites spots that we keep coming back to and this house is on the list for next time.

Amazing home! The rental was in the perfect location, close to Cruz Bay yet in a quiet, private areas. And the view cannot be beat. The home was well maintained and had everything a traveler could possibly need. And the two fridges are a game changer. I cannot recommend this rental enough - gave my family a trip of a lifetime!

Pro’s1). location, Views, Pool, deck, W&D, 2 fridges, , 2 (8) top tables, for 8, A/C throughout,Beach towels, hose outsideCon’s1). Just really poor owner Communication throughout, doubts you B4 taking action on issues, no comp even offered, asks you to solve 2). WIFI was down 6 of 7 days, no comp3). Owner needs to Post B4 arrival, did not deliver to us prior, regarding severe/poor road condition could damage a car - we had jeeps, garbage disposal situation - off site, drinking water availability - not filtered, no ice maker4). House and driveway, no marker of home5). Only 4 beach chairs, not 8, and offered on ad of home

Thanks for your review Darren. Glad you loved the location and the view! We are sorry you did not receive all the 4 prearrival emails but as we documented they were sent. The house has ionized filtered water so you can drink it but we do not recommend it. Water comes from the sky to a cistern under the house. You were the first guest to have a issue with the WIFI but I did check with the carrier / provider and they assured me the signal did reach the house and you were likely trying to connect to an incorrect network. Once we re-labeled the network to "connect to this one" it solved your problem. Lots of emails from you but no phone calls, I think a lot of this could have been resolved by a simple phone call. We truly appreciate the feedback and have replaced all the beach chairs and added 4 more as backup. We also added a new STARLINK satellite WIFI as a primary provider so that should solve all future wifi issues. Unfortunately I cannot fix the paving issues on the roads on St John, we always recommend a Jeep for that reason. Sincerely, Southern Cross Villa

We spent a week at Southern Cross Villa and had the most amazing time. It was super clean upon check in and immediately comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed when we dined in. The pool was a great treat at the end of the day. The house is super cool with fun details in the rock walls. A/C was great. We never had any blackouts but felt so good with the solar backup system. Last but not least, the view is to die for. Oh and the house is also super close to the Westin which was soooo convenient when we booked jet skis and a trip to the BVI. Only note is it was tricky finding the house the first day because there were no numbers off the road/driveway so we had to keep turning around (which was a feat to do on the steep narrow roads) so put "Southern Cross Villa" in your GPS to save your sanity.

Southern Cross is a beautiful villa that was perfect for our extended family of 8. We had two children and senior citizens in our group and Southern Cross was perfect for all of us. Awesome view with a pool in the sun. Drew was extremely responsive and quickly answered all of our questions. Highly recommend!

Spent a week with family (3 couples) at Southern Cross and it was beautiful. the property is very comfortable with awesome views and amenities. Arrival was super easy. Plenty of parking for several cars in driveway. Property was super clean with plenty of pool towels and beach chairs. The master suite bedrooms were great for our 3 couples. Kitchen and outdoor dining setup was excellent, as we cooked out on several nights under the beautiful stars. Easy 8 minute drive to Cruz Bay restaurants and bars. Had a couple of minor maintenance issues, but host was very responsive so never became a problem. Benjamin was easy to reach and communications with him were productive. Overall a great stay in St John.

We had a perfect family vacation! Drew was a super host, answered all our questions and made sure we had everything we needed. Allison was great too and gave us lots of good tips. The Tesla backup was PRICELESS and the view is incredible! I couldn’t be more grateful. I’ve been to St. John multiple times and this was by far our best trip.

Our family had a great time spending Thanksgiving at Southern Cross in St John. Drew was great, the house and the view were absolutely awesome and the breeze by the pool, with sun almost all day, was perfect!

Amazing property in a beautiful location with incredible views. The home itself was exactly what we hoped for and made for a wonderful vacation once we settled in.The only challenge came before check-in due to some internal issues between the owner and caretaker that unfortunately spilled into our arrival experience. While traveling, we were informed by the caretaker that he had not been paid for sometime and he was considering not sending the cleaners before our arrival. At that point, we honestly were unsure if we would have a place to stay and were preparing to contact VRBO.Thankfully, once we landed, both the owner and caretaker, Drew, communicated with us. In the end, our stay was excellent and both parties were very nice to work with. We truly hope everything gets worked out moving forward because this property really is special and you can tell that Drew is very passionate about making sure the guests have a wonderful experience.

Perfect host, perfect views, perfect AC / electricity / internet, perfectly clean, functional, and well equipped house... you will not be disappointed. We will be back!Great location less than 10-min from town and a fantastic jumping off point to drive to all the best beaches and restaurants on the island. Rent a jeep and enjoy all that St. John has to offer. Highly recommend!

Absolutey loved our time at Southern Cross! Beautiful views, can hear the waves below and feels private nestled on the cliffside. Enjoyed time by pool as much as the beach. House is well organized and stocked. Traveling with our 3 adult children, plus 1s and toddler granddaughter we so appreciated the abundance of beach chairs and small & large coolers. Drew was extremely responsive & friendly. Great stay all around and we hope to come back again.

The house was lovely, decorated beautifully, high-quality throughout and is sited perfectly, convenient to Cruz Bay but also has all the amenities for staying at home. Lovely views of both the quiet bay and the ocean. No AC was needed because of the breeze off the ocean. The pool is perfect for a late afternoon dip after a day at the beaches. All of the outdoor furniture provides plenty of spaces to relax. While much of the island struggled with no power with a rare 40-hour outage, the solar provided plenty for our needs - AC at night, hot showers, lights, etc. Each bedroom suite has its own mini split. The owner was great to work with and was always very attentive to questions leading up to and during the trip and he periodically checked in with me. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer!!

The views were amazing, the home is beautiful and updated. The pool was so nice and concierge always checked in. Also this was close to town!. I would stay there again and plan to tell my friends about it.

We have stayed on St John several times and this was by far the best. The host Drew is amazing and so helpful with everything. The house is very nice and great for 4 couples

Perfect rental for a couples trip!

We spent a week here with 3 other couples and absolutely loved it. Beautiful views, great bedroom for each couple, big common area and tons of outdoor space. Easy to communicate with the host and easy drive to Cruz Bay/north shore beaches. Road up to the house has an unpaved section so you definitely want a car with 4 wheel drive. Would love to come back and stay here again!
