Welcome to BareNecessitiesBreck! This cozy A-frame, perched on a hillside just outside of Breckenridge, offers breathtaking views of the Ten Mile Range and Breckenridge Ski Resort. This unique mountain home has two separate living areas and an outdoor deck providing ample space to share with your family and friends. Relax in the hot tub and soak up the views! You'll have easy access to five of Colorado's iconic ski areas - Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mt, A Basin, and Loveland. In the summer, you can enjoy mountain biking trails, hiking, fishing, and boating at nearby Dillon Reservoir. Downtown Breckenridge is a quick three mile bike or drive, where you can enjoy excellent restaurants and shopping. There are a couple of video security cameras located in the front and rear of the home. Our guests are welcome to unplug these, we do ask that they reconnect them when they checkout. Please come and enjoy all that Summit County has to offer!

A-Frame Beauty

This is our fourth time as a group of friends and families staying at this house. The proximity to downtown Breckenridge and local hikes is ideal. The hosts are welcoming and very responsive. This year, we stayed in early October and got to enjoy the view of the aspens changing right from the back deck.

Quaint Vacation Home with Stunning Views!

This quaint A-frame home is just the cutest! The views of the mountains from the backyard deck were simply breathtaking. The hosts were very responsive to any questions that we had and made our stay feel like a home away from home. I would highly recommend!

Best trip ever!!!

We had simply the best weekend at this cute little house! Despite some craziness with car problems, we felt right at home the entire time we were here! The hot tub was awesome and the VIEW was AMAZING!!!!!! We will definitely be coming back. Thank you James for being so accommodating and communicative the entire time!

Clean, Cute, and Cozy!

This A-frame had everything we needed and more! Breckenridge and Keystone were both easily accessible from this location. After a long day of skiing/snowboarding, we loved relaxing in the hot tub and enjoying beautiful views of the mountains. We hung out by the wood stove every night, making s’mores and playing games. The A-frame was super clean and cozy, with more than enough space for our seven guests. James and Debbie were excellent hosts! They were so helpful and accommodating throughout the process. We couldn’t stop talking about how perfect this property is and would definitely stay here again!

Cozy mountain cabin

This house is located just outside Breckenridge and was the perfect size for me and six family members to stay in during a recent ski trip. We enjoyed the hot tub and the beautiful view! We also were greeted with a nice gift bag of chocolate and coffee, and found the house well stocked in general, with plenty of towels and blankets. The owner warned us of the steep stairs down to the basement, and he wasn’t kidding! It’s quite a climb. We cooked for ourselves a few times and discovered the kitchen does not have a dishwasher. That didn’t bother us much, but we wished we had brought aluminum foil, plastic wrap, and Tupperware. The only thing available for leftovers were Ziploc bags. A minor inconvenience, and overall the house and the trip were great!

Fantastic anniversary trip!

James was an excellent host! He was so pleasant to work with and fast communication too. There was even a sweet little gift to welcome us! The house was perfect for our group! Very cozy but enough room for us to spread out. Having two separate entertainment areas was perfect. So many games to choose from, which kept us busy when on the blustery snow days. The kitchen was well stocked for all our cooking needs, they even had a crockpot. Very convenient to grab groceries, food, and drinks. The Broken Compass brewery was really close and a big hit. Then there was the view....sitting in the hot tub looking out on the mountains during the day or looking up at the beautiful night sky watching for shooting stars, so relaxing! We really could not have asked for a better place to stay. Highly highly recommend staying for your vacation! *Side note - my only recommendation for future guests would be to bring a portable humidifier for your room, if you can. This does not reflect James or the house at all, this would apply to anyplace in this area; but if you are coming from an area that is not as dry, your sinuses will thank you.

Cute A-frame in Breck

We had a wonderful stay at James and Debbie's A-frame for a Christmas celebration with the extended family. This place is larger than it looks from the outside and we were comfortable with 11 people inside. The views from here are spectacular and we really appreciated the holiday decorations that were provided. This place made for a great place to retreat and reconnect with our family. James was very communicative and responsive to any needs we had. A note for future guests: the stairs in this A-frame are quite steep. This wasn't an issue for us but for people with mobility issues this would likely be a problem. Thanks again for a great stay!

Amazing property!

If I could rate higher I would! This house was perfect for our family of 9! The location was great, just a few minutes from Main St and even had some space for the kids to play in the snow. The house was super clean and had everything we needed. The views were amazing! The hosts were extremely friendly and their communication was greatly appreciated. A great Labor Day Weekend getaway

We booked this rental earlier in the summer season. Everything about the rental was to our liking. The location north of downtown Breckenridge was the perfect driving distance to all the activities we were able to enjoy, chiefly hiking, shopping, dining and Gondola riding. A must-book spot

This spot was perfect for our needs and every view was beautiful. We even saw a younger moose running through the field behind us - far enough away to be safe but close enough to be awed! Great blend of being close to Breck but also feeling tucked away in nature. The place was clean, thoughtfully decorated, with plenty of room for 8 of us for a bachelorette party. Hot tub was the cherry on top and James and Debbie were communicative hosts. Would definitely recommend! Thank you!

Beautiful views and lots of space and necessities for a big group

Everyone loved the space. The views were amazing and the place well stocked. The lock was glitchy and we couldn’t get in at first. About an hour later we could. Contacting the owner/VRBO took a while. It just made for a frustrating start. We had another issue later with it. Recommend a new lock. Thanks!

Ski trip

Everything was perfect. The view was spectacular. The kitchen was nicely stocked to prepare meals. Very spacious for three families. It was so nice to soak In The hot tub after a day in the slopes. Beds were comfortable. I appreciated clear simple instructions from the owners. Would visit again :)

Love this place!

I was so excited to book an A frame home and this home exceeded my expectations. It’s large on the inside and has everything a family needs. We stayed for a wedding a mix of adults, children and two dogs. We will definitely be back. The views are beautiful and it was such a peaceful and pleasant stay. Check-in, check-out and communication was all very easy. Highly recommend.

Wonderful family trip in Breck!

We had 8 adults (our children and their spouses) and one baby with us and there was plenty of room. It was an adorable cottage A-frame that had the best views we have ever had in Breck! All supplies were plenty and we ate in every night making all our meals! The large dinning table was perfect and watching the NCAA tournament on the large screen TV was great!! Thank you James for being so accommodating. We want to return again!

Our family have lived in Colorado since the early 80's and just love it here. Our kids have grown up but still live close by and like to ski and hike and do all the things that the Colorado mountains have to offer.
