Crane and Nature Lovers Dream - Perfect for Crane Viewing!

Come relax in the country! The apartment is located inside a newly constructed shed/barn. It has one bedroom, one bathroom (shower only, no bathtub), and a spacious living room and kitchen with all appliances except a dishwasher. We do have a very friendly farm dog on the property, so please take note if this will be an issue for you.

Crane season - perfect location! We typically book very early out for crane season. There is private access to the Platte River which is the perfect setting for bird watching (might be off-limits during hunting season - Fall/Winter - Please contact to check), especially cranes during crane season! The owner will also help you set up on the Platte River for private bird watching during crane season. A private pond is located in the pasture right outside of the barn for fishing and quiet nights relaxing. Our pasture and cornfields are typically filled with cranes during the season. We are conveniently located to the south of Shelton, Nebraska off of Interstate 80. We are within 10-15 minutes of two crane viewing spots - Rowe Santuary and the Crane Trust Nature Center. You will have unlimited access to the Platte River for optimal crane viewing all season long!

Pets are welcome to stay for a $25 fee.

Check in and out was a breeze, communication with the host was super quick, all the pictures were recent, the home was clean and quiet. We would definitely stay again if we were staying in the area.

We loved it here! Even though we stayed for just one night, it was the perfect “mid-point” to rest on our trip from IL to CO. It was quiet so we slept great! My son loved being able to look out the window and see cows!! This will definitely be the number one pick on our next trip to the Rocky Mountains.

This little apartment was everything it was advertised to be with the happy addition of a sweet farm dog who visited often and demanded belly rubs. The apartment was comfortable and easily accessible. Use the directions link provided as entering the address into the nav system provided interesting results. It had everything we needed to be comfortable. The space was very clean and the air conditioning was awesome. When we were driving to the property we were a bit concerned about how close it was to I-80 but once we pulled in we were relieved to find out there was almost no highway noise. Overall wonderful experience. We have family in the area and we will be back.

Perfect location for seeing the Sandhill Cranes. Accommodations were clean and comfortable. Charming small towns nearby for restaurants and groceries. Will definitely consider booking in the future!

just a one night stay on our way to South Dakota, after driving for 8 hours was a nice stay. Very clean and comfortable. would stay again if going that way.
