Located just 15 minutes from I-95 and Bangor International Airport in a quiet neighborhood overlooking peaceful Hermon Pond.

This spacious second-floor studio has on-site parking, private entrance w/deck, queen-sized bed, bathroom w/shower, kitchenette with a microwave and refrigerator. Sit on your deck or at the kitchen table and enjoy the tranquility Maine has to offer. Roku TV and internet are available.

Kayaking, canoeing, (kayaks and canoe available for free on site) fishing, and snowmobiling with trails connecting to ITS 84 and 82 are just outside the door. Private boat landing is available for your use.

We are one hour from beautiful Acadia National Park on Mt. Desert Island and one hour from majestic Baxter State Park in Millinocket.
We are 30 minutes from the Penobscot Narrows Bridge (tallest bridge observatory in the world) and historic Fort Knox in Prospect.
And there are miles of local hiking trails closer to home.

Bangor and Brewer are the twin cities of Penobscot county and are just a short drive away. They offer museums, shopping, a casino, great restaurants, bakeries, farmer’s markets, local breweries and pubs in vibrant downtowns.

So Relaxing

Herman Pond is a beautiful, relaxing location for enjoying nature and all the Bangor area has to offer. Sonia is a wonderful host, and the garage apartment was just right for my husband and me.

Idyllic Stay

Possibly my favorite VRBO stays

The place is everything as described----and more. I was there for only 15 or so hours but it is such a beautiful and peaceful place, awash in beauty and nature, if felt like a whole restful vacation. I was in Bangor for a work training and arrived at 6am rested, inspired, and ready to go. The bed is perfect. the sectional is comfortable, Wifi top-rate. Kitchen has everything you need. Sonya is a superb host and has anticipated your every need, including sunblock and insect spray in case you forgot yours (I did!) I will long remember listening to the loon calls as I fell asleep.

A peaceful stay on Hermon Pond

I liked the apartment. It was clean and had everything we needed. I o ly wish I had time to stay longer to enjoy taking watercraft out on the water. Check is was simple and the area is peaceful and quiet.

The studio apartment was just right. Was able to make our breakfasts in the mornings before heading out for the day. Beautiful spot right on the pond. Took advantage of kayaks one afternoon, it was nice to have them available. Sonya is a cheerful host and a joy to chat with

Gorgeous, peaceful get away

We had a beautiful week in Sonya's gorgeous studio apartment! She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and we enjoyed time spent on the lake in her canoe, fishing and enjoying the beauty of Maine. Her studio is well equipped and the bed is very comfy! It is as pretty as pictured and very quiet! Thank you to Sonya for helping to make our relaxing, sight seeing vacation 5 star!

Retirement trip

My husband and i wanted to visit Maine after we retired. We found the perfect place in Sonja's studio. The location on the lake was so peaceful and beautiful. It is a little over an hour to Acadia National Park. We thought it was a great location for whichever direction we were going. Sonya was a wonderful host and all questions were answered immediately. We would definitely stay here again if we are ever back in this area.

A magical restorative stay!

Sonya was very friendly and accommodating, she loves her home and community. We were seeking a respite from the grind and were able to relax in quiet and comfort. She is no stranger to hospitality and has thought of every little detail in designing her space! The pond in winter was a beautiful view and a unique spot to explore. We will be back to kayak and enjoy it in warmer weather!

I want to go back.

Our stay was so fun. The unit was super clean, and had everything we need plus some. There is no stove or oven, but the owner provides a toaster oven, and two portable electric burners. The owner includes use of a canoe and two kayaks for going out on the lake. We took the canoe out, and had so much fun. When we got back we hung out outside and watched the sunset. There is also a fire pit with wood provided.We were able to talk to the owner a couple times. She was really nice, and she gave us some advice about things we should do around the area. We had absolutely zero issues during our stay, and I would definitely stay here again. 12 out of 10.
