We had an amazing trip and the property easily accommodated all 13 of us! There was so much space and seating that we never felt cramped. The food was amazing and the staff that helped us were all so friendly and accommodating.

My family and I enjoyed the stay at Villa Playamor. Check in was flawless. The property manger greeted us upon arrival, gave a tour, and explained everything we needed to know about the Villa. Ms. Nelly and her assistant were wonderful, food prepared was delicious, and they were very welcoming. Outdoor view is amazing from every balcony. Pool was great and ideal for the humid weather in Puerto Plata. Mr. Norman was always on time with his communication and ensured all my questions and needs were answered!!! Very Pleased with this experience!!

If you truly want to come home from a vacation feeling completely rested and relaxed, then this is the place for you. The staff was amazing, the pool was so nice and no need to worry about cooking or doing dishes - a true rest

Everything about our stay was excellent. The house, the staff, the food, the host, all excellent. There is a reason for all of the 10/10 reviews. The accessibility of the main level was an important feature for our family. If you like what you see and read about the accommodations do not hesitate to book a trip!

We had the absolute best time here! Nelly and her staff were amazing! The food was phenomenal! The hospitality was so great! Everyone is so nice and welcoming! Gus was a hoot! Really enjoyed our time with him. Book your excursions thru Gus. He will take care of you. The house is nice. Good amount of beds. We enjoyed the pool. Bedrooms have air conditioning that cooled the rooms off nicely for sleeping. Overall a very very good experience!

This home was absolute perfection and gave our family a vacation we will never forget! The house was beautiful, comfortable, and even better than we expected, but what truly made our stay special was the incredible staff. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Nelly’s cooking was fantastic, and Willie’s smile could brighten anyone’s day!We felt welcomed by everyone we encountered. Walking to the bodega in the evenings for ice cream became one of our kids’ favorite traditions. We ate at Los Charros, Chris and Maddie’s, and Don Limon’s and had wonderful experiences at all three.We also took advantage of several excursions, including the city tour, horseback riding, Monkey Jungle, and dune buggies. We enjoyed the city tour so much that we went back on our own later in the week to explore more! The ride to Monkey Jungle was a little long and very rough so we be prepared, but the experience was fantastic.This trip was especially meaningful because we were able to spend time with my husband’s family and experience more of his Dominican culture. We even celebrated my birthday here, complete with an unexpected fireworks show we watched from the balcony!From the beautiful home to the wonderful people, delicious food, and unforgettable memories, we could not have asked for a better experience. Our only complaint is that the week went by way too fast! We would absolutely stay here again. Five stars without hesitation!

We were there with our family, 6 adults and 2 kids and had a great time! Had lots of fun relaxing by the pool, and the beach is an easy walk but was very rough the week we were there. Gabino gave us a great run-downn of the property, Gus was great at helping us organize some excursions and Willy was always around if we had questions. The Villa had lots of space for us to be together or have some privacy, it was clean and well organized. All of the staff were wonderful and the food was great. There was also a selection of board games and cards for the rainy day we had. We will definitely be planning another trip down as soon as we are able!

Beautiful Villa with Great Chef

What a beautiful Villa and Nelly and Miguelina were just fantastic. Norm, the owner, was super helpful and always communicated quickly to us. I would recommend this Villa to any large groups or families. What a great stay. The food was fabulous and Miguelina kept our rooms nice and clean. Thank you Norm for the wonderful stay.

A very peaceful stay

My family and I spent just over a week at this property and found it very relaxing. Nelly was very warm towards us and cooked all sort of delicious things. We appreciated the roominess and how even with our mixed group of a couple, singles, teenagers and children there was space for everyone to come together as a group or find some space on their own. Norm (the host) was very responsive and quick to reply to messages and we really appreciated the pre-arranged food and transportation options. We hope to return in the future :)

Wow. 9 o f us stayed for 10 days at this lovely villa. 1st: the communication with the owner, Norm, was outstanding.2nd: staff! Everyone was lovely, easy to work with, unobtrusive but friendly. The meals were wonderful and so very affordable. Gus came and offered excursions. Note - avoid the horseback on the beach one - scary and traumatic! Taxi's were arranged effortlessly for us when needed. 3rd: The rooms were comfortable, and there's so much space at this house for gathering. We certainly didn't use all of it! The pool, although not heated, was so fun and used very much.It's an easy walk to the beach. Although the water wasn't clear while we were there, it was a pleasant place to hang out and body surf. We'd choose this villa over and over again instead of an all inclusive resort! Thank you for a great stay!

Awesome home and staff!

The house is wonderful....each bedroom has a separate bathroom, rooms are spacious, there are many different sitting areas if you need a space to read. Willie kept the pool sparkling clean. The housekeepers kept the house spotless even with 2 younger children. The meals Nellie prepared were fabulous. We felt like kings and queens.

Playamor

We had an amazing time staying at the Villa. The view , staff, pool , and house were wonderful. Milly and her helper made great meals and took very good care of anything we needed. Gus came the day after we arrived and arranged our excursions. Also arranged for messages and manicures , pedicures right at the villa . Would definitely recommend staying here and you will hate to leave .

Everything was perfect! The house was big and very clean. The food was fantastic, wow Nelly can cook!!!! Everything she cooked was amazing! The housekeeper/ assistant was excellent she kept the house cleaned and organized. Willy came but everyday to make sure everything was good and cleaned the pool. The security guard was there every night. My only complaint is that I had to book the house for more days! We did not want to leave! I cannot thank the staff enough for making this very special occasion super perfect! I will definitely be returning to the house for future vacations! This was better than a resort.

Best Vacation Ever

This was the most relaxing vacation that I have ever had! My partner and I took my 80 year old mother, and 3 young adult children here. The set up was perfect for all of us! My mother enjoyed the handicap room and 1st floor living! The girls loved the pool and the excursions! My partner and I enjoyed the views, pool, the house, and not having to cook! The food was amazing! The employees were wonderful! We also found a fun little restaurant at the bottom of the hill called Don Limon-we would go for drinks. This vacation was truly paradise - We all hated to return home!

Bachelor Trip (10/10)

My clients loved their stay. First and foremost, the pictures do not do this property any justice the place is beautiful. The water in the showers were a little cold, but that wasn't a big issue for us. The staff was wonderful to work with. If anyone else is going to Puerto Plata I would recommend the buggy ATV so that you can get the most out of your money, we had a great time doing that. There are also a few good restaurants walking distance from the property to eat at.

We are glad that your group enjoyed the villa. I am surprised that thy had cold water. There is a separate hot water heater for each floor. Those have to be turned on when guests are present so it is possible that that didn't happen, I will check with the staff and make sure that everything is functioning as it should and make sure that the guests are instructed to call if there is a problem. We enjoyed working with you and your clients.

Very pleasant

Stay was very pleasant The house withouth being luxiurius is very nice and comfortable, spacious, It offeres the possibility for a large group to be together or apart The pool was nice, the view was terrific The cooks are excelent and very nice peopple, so are the care taker Some of the matresses were somewhat worn out and the lights were somewhat lugubrius, it coud use a change to LED lights Overall we wre very happy and we would definitely consideer going back

Remarkable property and staff!

It is an awesome setting for an awesome vacation. The staff was truly amazing. The younger members of our group enjoyed multiple adventures. Gus helped to change out activities to match conditions. Nellie (cook) and Magalina (assistant) exceeded our every need. Willie and Sandy handled everything we asked. Jose (security) provided a very secure feeling overnight! The ultimate compliment is we are trying to choose dates for our return trip.

Nice Villa

The villa was absolutely spotless. Nellie and her assistant did a great job. The villa was spacious with plenty of room for our group of six to spread out. The pool was not heated so none of us wanted to use it. The villa was located within walking distance to the beach, a few restaurants and a mini market. Although walkable, it is not an easy walk. For those with walking troubles, the roads to the beach are not paved and are very steep. But overall a nice stay.

I am sorry that you marked us down for something that w have no control over. The roads are paved but in bad repair. We have been lobbying with the government to get them repaved and have been assured that our community is among the next on the list for this project. If you have been in the Dominican before, you will know that time is difficult to pin down.

Loved our stay!! *Plan to bring cash

We loved our vacation and our stay at the Villa Playamor. The staff is top notch, Nelly and Miguelina’s cooking was delicious, Willy kept the grounds and pool nice and neat, and Jose for security was friendly. The house was kept very clean. We enjoyed sitting around and in the pool, and on the porch. Gus was so helpful getting our excursions set up. We loved the jeep safari and the monkey jungle, a few of us went fishing and caught 5 fish. Nelly also was helpful at helping us to rides to other places we wanted to go. Norman Spencer the property owner, was so helpful with questions and reservations. I would definitely stay again, and the only thing I would do different was bring cash for everything, very few places accept credit cards and the touristy things everyone tells you what things cost in American dollars.

The Perfect Vacation

Our stay at villa playamor was outstanding! The property is gorgeous with a perfect view of the amazing coastline. After a busy day back at work, I think back to the evenings sitting on the porch swing taking in the crystal blue surf. It's a great place for a romantic getaway, family get-together, or alumni reunion with your favorite friends. While visiting, definitely go snorkeling or diving. The dolphin swim at ocean world is also a must do! Some of the new developments in the area have resulted in a rocky path down to the beach, so I'd recommend those with trouble taking a taxi down. Overall, my group enjoyed every minute of it! I've visited twice now, I cannot WAIT to return to rejuvenate sometime soon.

Family vacation

We were a group of 12 with 7 adults and 5 teenagers, and were very comfortable with the space. There was plenty of space to spread out but we mostly spent our time on the two porches with beautiful views of the ocean, watching the cruise shops come and go.While there, one of our teens needed to get medical attention for dehydration and the house manager was tremendously helpful in getting a taxi to us quickly and followed up continuously throughout the night.Nelly, the cook spoiled us with her delicious meals and pina coladas which she served to us.The walk down the hill is a little rough but manageable and helped us burn off all the calories we were consuming.Thank you Norm for providing this piece of paradise.
