A spacious farmhouse overlooking an Amish community in the Mohican Valley with expansive porches, fully equipped modern kitchen, large living room, laundry room, main floor bath and bedrooms, fire pit, internet, plenty of privacy, peace and quiet. Enjoy hiking, canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking, skiing, golfing, shopping and dining all conveniently located.
Scenic Ridge is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between guests. Special attention is given to disinfecting frequently touched areas such as door handles, light switches, countertops, faucets, sinks, and toilets. Scenic Ridge Guest House has a no pet policy in an effort to provide a hypoallergenic environment.

We are a group who have been friends for 50 years. The house is very spacious and well equipped. The open kitchen and dining room allows people who are making meals or cleaning up to still be involved with the other guests. The wrap around porch is great for viewing the sunset over the valley. The host was quick to respond to our questions.

We had a great time again! The kids got to see the horses up close, which they loved, they enjoyed the air hockey table and watched a movie. They also played games and just had fun being cousins in the same house!Joanna is a great host, and she has a lovely home. Sitting on the porch rocking was also a favorite for the adults watching the sunset.

Great property for a family get-away! Beautiful home, lots of extras - firepit, games, gathering areas. While in the area, we went horseback riding , hiking, swimming and paddleboarding on Pleasant Hill lake, and canoeing and kayaking on the river. Would definitely stay again!

The property is beautiful. It is equipped with everything you could need or want. Our annual kayak trip group said this was the best one yet! You need to hit Forbes Farmstead if you’re in the area. I had so much fun shopping the local treats. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Camp Grandma

This house is perfect for a family gathering! Plenty of room for everyone. The basement is amazing for teens to hang out, the yard is big for corn hole games, and the garage area with extra refrigerator is a game changer. The property is beautiful and can’t be beat for a family gathering. Everything from coffee on the porch to family card games around the big table is just perfect!

Our Favorite Destination

This is my fifth stay at Scenic Ridge 9my husband and I were married there four years ago. My husband's family attended the wedding and fell in love with the house as we had. There is a group of six couples (us and my husband's brother and sister plus others) from Springfield, Ohio that get together once a month for game night. We decided last year to come up for a couple of days to play games and explore Amish country. We had so much fun we booked again this year and already have dates picked for next summer. The only thing that we would love to see happen is replacement of the mattresses. Several in our group commented that they were not comfortable.

So beautiful and relaxing

I am so thrilled we were able to find a home that the entire family (kids, parents and grandparents) could fit comfortably and relax together. The property is breathtaking and the house was clean, had a useful floor plan and was thoughtfully stocked with things for our stay. Some highlights: Horses! There are horses in the field next to the property that are curious and friendly (and love apples). Fireflies! At dusk an amazing number of fireflies dance around making the fields twinkle. The porch! There are plenty of comfortable rocking chairs that made enjoying the surrounding valleys a pleasant experience, day or night. There is so much more to mention, but these are the things that stand out as really special. Having us all under one roof is something we treasure and the entire family can’t wait to visit again!

A beautiful retreat

What a beautiful property! We spent a weekend here with the extended family and loved it. Very clean and plenty of space/bedrooms for all. Lovely views from the porch. Quiet in the evenings and overnight. Everyone (and I do mean everyone) was impressed with the place and wants to come back again for next year's weekend get together. There are many things to see in the area should you choose, but hanging out at the house is just as rewarding. We will be back.

This home and the surrounding area are beautiful. Plenty of bedrooms, lots of space and everything we needed for our stay. We were staying the weekend for our daughter's wedding and the photographer we hired was just in awe of the place as well! And to top it off, the host was kind and easy to contact. Check in was a breeze! I would highly recommend Scenic Ridge for a family get together if you are looking to reconnect and relax.

The property is beautiful and has everything you need to have a great stay. We were there for a wedding but started discussions on a family weekend so we could go back to enjoy everything the property has to offer.

Great Stay!

We really enjoyed Scenic Ridge. The property owner was very communicative and accommodating. The house was sparkling clean, nicely decorated and stocked with the necessities. The grounds are beautiful and quiet. Very good for large families or groups; we would stay here again!

Spacious, Clean, Private

The Scenic Ridge Guest House is a nicely decorated, clean, spacious, private Farmhouse. It has a lovely view of the countryside and horses to see as well. It had rooms to accommodate 10 adults. We enjoyed our stay and Joann was a gracious host! Thank you Joann!!

Repeat stay

We have stayed here before and liked it so much we came back. Plenty of room for our girls basketball team and a few moms to stay for our basketball tournament close by. Wonderfully stocked kitchen, plenty of room, clean and tidy.

Beautiful space for unwinding

The property was beautiful and extremely clean. It was a great location that was quiet, but close to State Park and other attractions. It was perfect for our friends getaway to celebrate a birthday. We look forward to our next visit!

Beautiful Country Setting - Super Clean

Our church group stayed here for the weekend, and it was perfect! The house was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate all 12 of us, with plenty of bedrooms and a well-equipped kitchen that made cooking together a breeze. The dining table seats 10, and there are additional barstools at the counter for extra seating. The internet was fast and reliable for streaming, and the house was spotlessly clean with ample hot water for everyone. The location was ideal—set back on a long, private lane in a beautiful country setting. We highly recommend it!

Scenic Ridge lived up to it’s name.

9 girlfriends got together for a fall hiking trip. The house has plenty of space but you don’t lose one another. Loved being able to all fit comfortably either at the dining table, the kitchen, the living room, the front porch for the sunset or the fire pit for a fire. The view is stunning in every direction. The house had everything we needed from fire wood to spices to cookie sheets. The beds were comfortable, some brought their pillows to make sleeping easy. The house is very clean and Joann is wonderful.

Step back, breathe and take in the beauty

Our extended family enjoys the annual fall weekend at Scenic Ridge Guest House. This is our third year at Scenic Ridge and each year we love it more. It's great to have a quiet and relatively isolated place to just step back and enjoy one another's company, surrounded by God's beautiful scenery. We kept track of time by watching the cows on the far hill side! Thanks Joann for another wonderful weekend!
