The weather was not great so we spent more time inside than we would have liked.We did leave early ,partly because of the weather but also property really was not that comfortable.

We were disappointed to see the 3-star rating, particularly as the guests mentioned that the weather played a significant role in spending more time indoors and ultimately leaving early. Unfortunately, Tahoe weather can be unpredictable and is outside of our control. We were also surprised by the comment that the property was “not that comfortable,” as no specific concerns were mentioned during the stay or included in the review. We always encourage guests to reach out if something is impacting their experience so we have the opportunity to assist, and more specific feedback would have helped us understand what could have been improved. We remain committed to providing a comfortable and enjoyable Tahoe stay and will continue to use guest feedback wherever there are actionable ways to improve the home.

This is an amazing find right on a beautiful sandy beach, with a private deck and pier. It is small but accommodated the two of us and our dogs perfectly. Would definitely stay here again!

We had the best mini-moon stay here after our wedding. It was exactly the relaxing retreat we needed. Our dogs absolutely loved it too! The shared deck and beachfront were perfect; we spent so much time just sitting by the lake enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. We happened to be the only ones there during our stay, which was amazing, but even if others had been around, the setup felt welcoming and like it would’ve been fun to meet fellow travelers. The proximity to Kings Beach was also a huge plus. Overall, such a cozy, beautiful, and relaxing Tahoe getaway that we’d absolutely recommend.

Great amenities, we had everything we could possibly need at the home. It's very clean and well kept. Gorgeous view of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding mountains. Tahoe Time Vacation Rentals was very easy to work with and accommodating. Thanks for the relaxing, quiet week.

Very nice cottage, kitchen and alcove. Bed was comfortable, easy access to the lake. The make shift sofa was like a concrete slab. Only half way comfortable chair was the rocking chair.

We enjoyed the location right on the Lake...great to walk with our dog on the beach in the mornings! The cottage is rustic cute, but was clean and had everything we needed, including access to a gas bar-b-que. One improvement would be 2 comfortable chairs in the living area. As stated, the deck is shared and was quite crowded during the day.Overall it was a great location, and we'd stay there again.

Hit the spot!

This place is/was such a gem - right on the lake in a chill little complex with the beach + deck & pier, just steps from the front door. It’s just a cozy vibe with everything you need, and nothing you don’t! It’s not well marked (part of why it’s a hidden gem;)) so definitely map it & consolidate into 1 car - parking is limited. Would stay here again (:

Perfect little spot and great location

We stayed for Thanksgiving. You walk out the door and the Lake is right there. Absolutely breathtaking. Safeway is a one minute drive away, Northstar is a 10-15 minute drive away. It was great. The cabin was clean, the bed was comfy, and the kitchen was stocked for our Thanksgiving cooking needs.

Great Location!Could have been cleaner.Living room couch/bed not comfortable at all !Bed comfortable, not sure why the antique TV was on dresser !Shower barely 2.5’ x 2.5’ , very confining !

We're so glad this guest enjoyed the home's location, it is truly an unbeatable location! We understand that preferences for furniture—especially beds and seating—can vary widely, and we do our best to strike a balance that works for most. The living room seating is a custom window-set design, which is shown in the listing photos. While some guests enjoy its unique style and view-friendly placement, we understand it may feel less traditional or less comfortable to others. We appreciate the observations regarding the TV and shower and will certainly take them into account as we continue to make updates. Guest input helps us improve and we thank this guest for staying with us.

Fall Paradise

Lovely 1 bedroom cottage just short steps to lakefront. Fully equipped, clean, cozy and view of the lake. Lovely deck with patio furniture and easy access to beach with boat dock, which is pleasant to sit on and enjoy the sunrise. Conviently located to great hikes, restaurants and Safeway. Barbaqued a lovely steak dinner on the propane grill conveniently located just off our porch. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice cabin

Pine coves #2 nice cozy cabin it is beachfront property and close to everything but it needs updating. Shower is very small for my 6'4 husband. It is pet friendly and my dog has a place to run around. Communication is great. Overall, if we have to go back to Lake Tahoe we will surely stay in this place again.

We've stayed at Pine Cove Cottages for many years, although this was the first time at #2. Couldn't get either TV to work, but that wasn't really an issue as we don't go to Tahoe to watch TV. All in all, a very nice place to stay, and you can't beat the location, right on the lake with a private dock. Highly recommended!

Nice location near Kings Beach

The private beach and dock are wonderful! Close to kings beach, shopping, & dining. The cleanliness wasnt great, bathroom trash was full when we arrived, including dirty diapers; and the bedding could have used a refresh. We loved the fireplace and the kitchen is well stocked with nice cookware, but overall the property is relatively run down. The second twin bed is quite old and hard. Ultimately its a nice stay, but some basic repairs and simple upgrades could make it great.

Gem

Great location. Charming small cabin equipped with all essentials for a comfortable stay. Steps to the lake. Barbecue on your own deck which is easy to operate and works great. Bed in the bedroom is comfortable and very clean. Sofa beds in living room are more like mats on wood and not comfortable at all. They are also very worn. Overall this is a great place for a getaway.

Nice place, but needs some attention

Location great, bed comfy, couch very uncomfortable. Many kitchen needs missing (no pot for boiling water, no strainer, few cups), burned out light bulbs, key to dock didn't work. We ended up not bringing our dogs and were glad we didn't since they weren't allowed on the deck. These are all things that could be easily remedied (or accounted for before we got there if we had known about them).

Dear Jeanne - Thank you for your review and I'm sorry you did not enjoy your stay. Please next time if you have any issues with a home - give me a call. I could have explained that yes the property is dog friendly however the sign for no dogs is for neighboring dogs that are off leash and wonder on to the personal deck of the home. I tested the key for the pier and it worked - so I don't know why it would not work for you. And yes I did find a light bulb out in the bedroom that has been replaced. I have gone over the kitchen in detail and I have replaced the items that were missing. My apologies - I would have brought over the missing items needed for your stay. Sincerely, Mischel

Fantastic!

The quaintness of this little enclave of cottages, cleanliness and close proximity to Lake Tahoe was fantastic! We tried to extend our stay because we were having such a great experience, but this cute little home was already booked for the same day we were scheduled to check out. We are hoping that it is available again next July because we would like to come back for a longer stay. We had only one tiny snag - it gets quite warm in the afternoon in July and there was only one small table fan at the site. Luckily, we brought a couple of box fans from home just in case. It would be nice to have more fans at the home so we don't need to bring our own. Again - this is such a tiny issue, but I at least wanted to mention it in case it helps someone else plan for their summer stay. This in no way impacted our review or overall satisfaction - we are very happy and satisfied with the experience and want to come back:) Thank you to the owners and management company for such a great experience!

Fabulous little cabin on the lake. One bedroom full kitchen all amenities we needed walked to restaurants and shops all throughout Kings Beach.

Great location

Small cozy cabin right on lake. Beach is fantastic. Shared deck is definitely a highlight. Cabin is basic, but fit our needs. A perfect base for water sports and hiking.

Tahoe time

Cozy and clean, dog-friendly cabin right on the lake. Couldn't ask for a better location! The cabin is much roomier than pictures show. Perfect size for our small family. Enjoyed easy access (stairs) to the beach and the fireplace after our walks (it was a cool weekend). You can also walk to the grocery store; driving takes just a few minutes.. We'll be back!
