It’s a very cozy Cabin with everything you need !!

We rented this same cabin last November and loved it so much that in our travels we utilize it as a stopping point must. Close to town but private enough to enjoy the Iowa wilderness

Very quiet modern cabin near the Keosauqua Des Moines River bridge. All dishes & kitchen utensils furnished, as was shower supplies and even laundry detergent. Truly a walk-in-with-clothes-and-start-living experience.

Girls weekend

Very nice little place. We stayed for 2 nights as a girls weekend for the fall festival. Great place to come back to that had everything we needed.

Great little place surrounded by woods.

We traveled to Keosauqua to attend a family funeral. The cabin was so much better than a hotel. It allowed us a quiet place to gather and remember our loved one.

A magical place

A wonderful setting for our family! We saw deer and rabbits and raccoons. My granddaughter claimed she saw a baby Bigfoot 😆with blue eyes😂whose name is Jim. Everything we needed was there. Mistys has great food. We hope to return next year.

Wonderful getaway!

We were approved to arrive a couple hours early which allowed us more time to get settled in and then go visit friends at the weekend reunion. The house was clean, comfortable, had a great deck that was in the shade by early afternoon, and we got to see some wildlife as there were woods and a lovely park nearby. Good communication with property manager. We hope to stay there again sometime.

GREAT LOCATION!!

This place was absolutely perfect for our quick little get away. It was clean, and comfortable, and perfect size for my family of five. Yard and deck were amazing. This was conveniently located. Just around the corner from lake Lacey, and with in walking distance to town. Would very much considering rebooking for our next trip to that area.

Cozy little cottage!

Eric was quick to respond to my questions and very friendly. The cottage is exactly as pictured in the listing. We loved sitting on the deck, grilling, and watching the baby racoon play in a tree above us. In the morning there were three young deer in the yard. Two min from the heart of town but feels like you're in the middle of the woods. Cottage is very clean and well kept. We loved this stay and will definitely stay here again!!

Perfect location, totally equipped!

Loved the location, secluded, yet within walking distance to town! All amenities provided. Beds were comfortable! So enjoyed the wildlife!

A good stay

We wanted somewhere a bit out of the way but close to town, and this fit the bill. Very close to the park. Owner was responsive to questions.

Entry Level Hunter's Cabin

This property seems to be a work in progress with a way to go. When arriving at any cabin or home rented for a few days a traveler will have 3 things; clothes, gear and food. This cabin has nowhere to stow non refrigerated food except on the floor, one flimsy over the door clothes hanger on one of the bedroom doors to share between all guests and no closets, chest of drawers or cabinets etc. to stow anything!

Thanks for the feedback, Marvin. Since your stay we have added a free standing clothes rack with three shelves. We also added a cart in the kitchen for extra storage. I do feel our pictures depict very clearly what’s available in the cabin as far as storage, etc. so I’m sorry you were surprised and disappointed by this. As I said in my correspondence with you, I wish you would have said something prior to just leaving. You didn’t even give us a chance to make anything right, and to make your stay more comfortable. Please give other future hosts this opportunity in the future, we all try do everything we can to give our guests the best experience possible!

Perfection

We love it here. My husband and I have been here 4 times now and it is a favorite getaway for us. We enjoy the quiet and privacy. From sitting on the deck enjoying the sounds of nature to cooking dinner together and playing scrabble together. It is just the perfect place to unwind and relax.
