This spacious and stylish retreat is located on a hill with ultimate views of the lake and amazing sunsets. Walking distance to the BRAND new Lakefront Park which has a public beach, pickleball courts, splashpad, playground and live concerts every Friday all summer! Located very close to downtown Fox Lake and the Metra train stop. With over 60 ft of lake frontage, a private dock, fire pit and swimming area, you'll never want to leave! Some of the best fishing in IL!

Was great for a guys golf and fishing weekend. View of lake was excellent as location. Large kitchen with everything needed. We would stay there again.

We all (ages ranged from 6 to 74) had a wonderful time, even though it poured rain Friday night and all day Saturday. Here are some things we liked, in no particular order.The house was well kept and clean.The view of the lake is very pretty.There are plenty of bedrooms. It was easy to access our streaming channels. Having 2 refrigerators was very helpful with 7 people. There were games and a puzzle that we enjoyed, the Family Feud game was a hit! The drive way is very small, so having access to the garage was a wonderful plus, especially in the rain.The exit instructions were not excessive - very reasonable.

The property was perfect for the 14 of us. The dining room, kitchen and living room were roomy enough for all of us. The deck provided extra seating and the master bedroom was spectacular with a wonderful view of the lake.

Wonderful getaway

The house is set up perfectly for a group or multiple families. The hosts were easy to get in touch with and so accommodating. Quiet location right on the water. Highly recommend!

Great location and lots of room

We had a family reunion and found all we needed. We were able to cook meals at the house. The small kids loved playing in the leaves and we really enjoyed the view!!

A Fun, Relaxing Location

This was perfect for the weekend my friends and I needed! The sleeping options worked out great, the view makes you feel peaceful, and it was the ideal accommodations for a few friends wanting a weekend away! Everything was just as advertised, if not much more pleasant in person!

This property offers panoramic views of a beautiful lake, and the fireplace was so cozy! We loved the wide open floor plan and the multiple areas for entertaining each other. We celebrated my mother’s 93rd birthday there. There were plenty to do for every age group. The host was also very responsive whenever we had questions.

Wonderful Family Vacation!

Our family had such a wonderful time at your VRBO! The house was perfect for our group of 8. Bedrooms so comfortable and AC unit so easy to use. Kitchen very well stocked with a huge family table great for eating and playing games. The pool table was in constant use - a real bonus! We loved using the giant raft provided on your lakefront as well as fishing off of your pier. The outdoor deck was delightful! Jens prompt responses to any of our concerns was really appreciated. Can't wait to visit again!!! Ed and Gerri

Incredible home, incredible stay!

We booked this home for a long weekend for our book club. Honestly, we are all counting down the days until we have an excuse to do it again! The house is beautiful, well cared for and the hosts were super responsive. The layout is great for multiple couples, offering nice sized bedrooms and multiple full bathrooms. The fire pit on the water was a fan favorite as well, a perfect setting for sunset views. We can’t say enough about our experience and will definitely be returning yearly!

Very spacious

Location was ideal for our gathering. Wish I had requested slightly later checkout as we had to rush through breakfast and cleanup to be out promptly at 10. Next stay Ill remember to request in advance. Otherwise it was a beautiful and spacious location. We loved the fire pit for our smores!!

Missing multiple smoke detectors, dishwasher was not properly screwed in to the counter top and would tilt forward when opening door, dryer not working properly, took 3 hours to dry a small load of clothes (a load of towels were left in dryer upon check in), sink in 1/2 bath is extremely loose, parking information needs to be updated (cars not able to be parked on street, share size of garage as some trucks & suvs will not fit inside garage). The listing for accessing the fire pit and dock was very deceiving. Pictures appears to make the yard seem to be connected but contained a retaining wall. We had multiple guests that were not able to access the dock and fire pit due to the rock stairs being small and uneven. Kitchen was missing essential items like measuring cups, baking pans, dish towels. The propane tank was also left empty and we had to pay to refill. Shower curtains had mold and grime along the bottom.

Safety is a top priority - the home passed a village safety inspection earlier the same day you checked in, with new detectors and batteries installed beforehand, which we are confused about. We were not made aware of the dishwasher mounting or the loose bathroom sink during your stay — both were repaired immediately once we saw your review. We always want the chance to fix issues in real time, so please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly while you're staying; we respond quickly. We've also serviced the dryer, restocked kitchen essentials and replaced the shower curtains. On parking: the garage does fit most trucks and SUVs — we've personally parked a full-size Tundra in there — though clearance is tight for larger vehicles. The yard includes a retaining wall and stone steps down to the fire pit and dock, consistent with the listing's description of the home being situated on a hill. We're glad you brought these items to our attention and have corrected each one. We hope you'll consider staying with us again.

Needs TLC

This house was spacious. Unfortunately, the kitchen was not clean. Bed sheets were stained. Not sufficient silverware or towels. Highlights of our stay in Fox Lake were Jet Funn and the Volo Museum.

This property was perfect for our group of 10 adults! The view from the porch was amazing! We enjoyed watching the sunset every night. Check in was so easy, and check out was a breeze!!! We had all the amenities we could want.
