Gold coast Surfers Paradise - Santana Holiday Resort

Santana Holiday Resort is conveniently located at the southern end of central Surfers Paradise with its close proximity to the Gold Coast Convention Centre & is approx 1 hour south of Brisbane International Airport. Another option is to fly direct to Coolangatta Airport in Gold Coast to reach Surfers Paradise, about 1/2 hour drive with a distance of 20 km. My time shared unit is a 1 bedroom type with a balcony & has a sofa bed at living hall which can accomodates 4 persons comfortably.A stone's throw away is the Jupiter's Casino, Patrolled beaches, Cascade Gardens, Majestical Hinterland & the 3 worlds(Movie,Dream & the Sea) are situated nearby!Facilities - swimming pool, heated spa, tropical landscaped gardens, gazebos, security parking, BBQ facilities,games room, public transport-bus stop nearby less than 500 metres which can also be taken to go to airport & theme parks. The apartment also offers complimentary Foxtel. Full tour destinations & car rental available. Unit Amenities - air conditioner, color tv, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, cloth dryer, full kitchen- cooking allowed.
Toiletries limited to initial supply - 2 or 4 Towels, a soap & 1 roll toilet paper. Additional toiletries available for purchase.
For check in , a refundable security deposit of AUD 200 is required. Upon acceptance of your booking request, you have to provide me your personal particulars such as contact phone no. & passport no.
for issuing your check in booking confirmation slip.
My time-share unit is manage & maintained by Santana Holiday Resort. . For late check-in after 5 pm & check-in on saturday/sunday, a late check-in fee aud 10 require to pay at reception. Need to inform reception in advance expected arrival time for late check-in whereby check-in is by appointment only. There is a Bond policy for Schoolies whereby AUD 200 bond will be charge for each person and you will be able to claim approximately 10 days after you check out. There are also
2 ceiling fans, 1 in bedroom & 2nd in living hall.

Wouldn’t leave my animals there if it was a boarding kennel it was that horrible. Food left in oven, microwave had food all through it, mould all through bathroom, knives where not clean, all cupboards in bathroom had water damage, dirty clothes left in washing machine from previous guests, when I raised the issues with the lady from reception I was met with abuse and anger all in front of my 9 year old son. Left and found somewhere else to stay within a hour of getting there.

It's in a good location but very dated. Our unit needs painting, new flooring, updated kitchen and bathroom. There were some cockroaches in the kitchen we had to kill. Shower was very tiny and the water was difficult to regulate between cold, warm and too hot. Complex was quiet though. The hot tub was not hot even though the manager said it was very warm. We didn't get in it. Carpark needs a good clean, had trash in some of the spaces. Just a very old, dated building but it was cheap to stay there. The Chinese manager charged me $10 for a late check in at 9.30 pm. First time ever for me to have to pay for later check in.

BUYER BEWARE!! This listing was advertised in AUD then charged in USD the owner isn’t interested in discussing this. We’ve paid $140 more than expected then when we arrive at 2pm Easter Saturday then charged additional fees for ‘late check in’ when I queried this I was told because it’s a public holiday. Then to top things off we are given a room with 2 single beds put together instead of a queen bed that we booked. Very generous offerings in the bathroom, 1 tiny cake of soap and and 1 shampoo only. DO NOT STAY HERE!

The hosts were easy to communicate with..the unit was in poor outdated condition…the fridge wasn’t cold, the freezer worked fine..the sink in the bathroom was almost falling out of the vanity, the bedroom door gets jammed, at one point we couldn’t open it… Convenient to shops and activities… If the complex was updated and modernised, it would b much better

the perfect place if you're on a budget

The cost is a reflection of the condition, but if you spend most of your time outdoors and are seeking budget accommodation, this is the perfect place for you. We had a pleasant stay at Santana for the second consecutive year. Thanks to David for his hospitality.

recommend if you're on a budget

Overall we had a good experience. The place require some maintenance but, - beds were comfy - no need for the air-conditioning - close to amenities Thanks for having us.

Nice is a good word .I found not getting details of check in and a receipt until a few days before uneasy . It was at this time I found a deposit ad late checking fee was required .The receptionist was lovely the apartment clean , pol area nice , location easy

There was no blanket on bed. The bed cover was dirty, the rooms were all smelling. There was no heater to warm the place. There was too much rules but with poor service. I was charged for bond which was not indicated during booking on line. overall i was not happy with the service and will not recommend to anybody

Room was very poor condition, stains on all of the bedding and covers, cupboards falling apart, bathtub stained, stains on the walls and around the apartment, needle in the cupboard. Everything was very substandard. Never posted a bad review like this before but apartment was just horrible. We took photos of everything when we got there out of shock. Manager never in office to speak with. Will never go back
