The Barn, mini petting zoo

We get all four seasons & starry skies! The apartment/barn has1 bedroom with a full bed, a shower and toilet, a futon couch, queen size air mattress, pot belly stove, electric heaters, dresser, wine bar with 3 bar stools, small refrigerator/freezer, tea/coffee maker (regular/decaf provided), toaster oven, hot dog toaster, single electric burner, microwave, grill, blender, and BBQ. Outside, you'll find a horse shoe pit, archery range (bring your bow/arrows/axe), axe throwing board & hammock to enjoy. Linen is on the bed for you, an extra blanket, towels, and salt/pepper so all you need to bring is your own toiletries and food plus your own condiments (oil, butter, sugar, etc.) Keep food contained to avoid rodents and ants. Please throw your trash in the dumpster at front gate daily. Please do not TRESPASS on nearby properties.

Such a Cool Place!

The animals were all so friendly and well taken care of. Steve and Amber were so kind and showed us all the animals. The barn was rustic and so cute! We had a fantastic time there and it was so peaceful.

Wonderful stay

What a wonderful property and even more wonderful host! Amber was incredible. She took the time to show us around and let us meet all of the animals. My sister loved petting Tom the Turkey. He was suprisingly very mellow. But the one who stole the show and I had to stop by to say hello was the sweetest little donkey. Amber also guided us to a beautiful hike called Blue Lady Mine nearby. If you love crystals and caves, you will love this hike!If we are in the area again, we are definitely staying at The Barn!

Close to wineries

Had a nice little getaway to enjoy some wines of the area!!! The property is very peaceful and I love the farm!! So nice to sit and drink coffee on the porch in the morning. Perfect setting for peace and tranquility.

Great little farm stay

This is a beautifully maintained mini working farm with a comfy barn and a wide range of animals to check out (some of the rescued). It's in the country and quiet but easy to get to, Amber is a great host, and the bed is comfy. I would definitely return.

Nice getaway on a cute farm!

The check in process was a breeze when we arrived. The whole farm was so cute and nice to walk around. The miniature horses were adorable and seeing all the other animals definitely made the trip worth it. Gave us a little taste of the homestead life. The barn was set up so nicely inside and it felt like a comfy little home away from home. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful

We had so much fun saying hello to all the animals on the farm and exploring the nearby parks. Amber even gave us extra duck eggs! Great location for a weekend getaway.

It was a very pleasent and unique experience. I enjoyed the calm atmostphere and the petting zoo was a plus. Amber, the owner, was very nice and made our stay better with her friendly welcoming attitude 😊. If u want to have a nice time out of the noisy city this is the place!

Wonderful location

Such a wonderful vacation! Beautiful property that was warm and cozy on the cooler December mountain days. The animals are an added piece of joy to the stay. The sweet rescued animals are in good hands here too! Amber was so kind and helpful during our stay. We will be returning if our family remains close by :) so happy that we found this location

Incredible experience

Peaceful property with very stylish and very clean barn. Our two sons were amazed with how many animals they could pet. Amber, our host gave us a bowl of carrots to feed to the sheep, donkeys, goats and horses. There are chickens, peacocks, turkey, ducks — we got fresh duck eggs for breakfast! It was an amazing experience for the whole family. Our 2 large dogs were very welcome and had a great time as well.

Amber was a lovely, generous host and we enjoyed our stay very much. Meeting her menagerie of animals and having fresh duck eggs for breakfast was delightful and made the stay memorable. The walk-up to the second floor apartment would be challenging for a disabled person.

Great stay, kids loved the animals

Really enjoyed the farm, kids loved all the animals and the area was beautiful. The barn was fun, the stove kept everything nice and warm. Kids didn’t end up needing the air mattress, they liked sleeping on the futon. Outlet in kitchen wasn’t working, but there were others available. View was amazing from the porch.

So much fun!

We loved our time at the barn ❤️ It was a short stay that we wished had been longer! Amber is super friendly and was happy to walk us around her property to introduce all the animals😊 Our kiddo left with a handful of peacock & turkey feathers and we had a handful of fresh eggs!! Do yourself a favor and go unwind at the Barn

Sweet find in the backcountry

Very quiet at night. Expected bird noises from the roosters, turkeys, ducks, chickens and pheasants. All the birds were very respectful. All the other animals were very polite as well. Bed was comfortable and the place has character. Fresh duck eggs were provided and they were delicious. Enjoyed our stay and ten minutes to/from Hawkwatch winery….the best wine on the North Mountain Wine Trail. Thanks Amber and Steve.

If you always wanted to live on a farm you will absolutely love staying at The Ranch. Amber Is a wonderful hostess and the accommodations are so fitting for property. We absolutely enjoyed petting the mini horses and donkey. Loved seeing the ostriches too. If you like luxury hotels this isn't for you. Wear your cowboy boots and hat and enjoy.

Rustic gem far from the city

We had a great time. My only caution was there are a lot of steps (if that is a problem for you). Amber introduced us to the animals which we throughly enjoyed. We came for the dark sky and weren't disappointed. Saw the milky way for the first time in years. The unit was well stocked and very unique. We are planning to come again!

The barn apartment is above the garage and separate from the main house . You can visit the mini horses and other animals any time, Archery range, horse shoe pit and axe throwing board set up in front of property. The main house and garage under apartment are off limits. Also wood and fire starters provided for pot belly stove. Queen size air mattress. Futon sofa bed Dimensions: 69"L x 32"W 29"H. All Dogs must be on a leash. I provide toilet paper, hand soap, towels, linens, and pillows, coffee (regular & decaf), salt & pepper. Bring your own condiments like sugar, honey, milk, cream, ketchup, mustard, syrup, oil, butter and food, I do not provide these because of rodents and ants. And everyone has their own dietary needs. Sunshine Market is 5 miles away. Thank you.
