The water is about 4' deep at the dock (no diving) and 7 feet at the raft. Our water is clear, clean and beautiful. We have a pair of nesting loons who return each year and you can hear them calling to each other during the day and night. The property is the absolute best location on the lake to sit on the dock and watch the lake activities and since we are on the east side, we get all the afternoon sun and spectacular sunsets. The lake is 120 acres and about 1.3 miles around the shoreline. You can explore the beaver dam area, the fallen trees which may have turtles, the grassy areas and look for perch, small mouth bass, large mouth bass, and Pickeral, and enjoy floating in the sun. The beach area is great for kids or relaxing in the Adirondack chairs. The patio and staircase into the water makes it easy to get in and out of the water. You can sit on the steps and dunk the toes.
Two bundles of firewood per night is included in your rental. Additional firewood is available for $5 per bundle. It will be split and delivered to the campsite with advanced payment. Or there is a woodshed with bundles available on the property and you can place cash or a check in the money box at the campsite.
Check-in is after 3 p.m. and check out is by 11 a.m. We do not charge a cleaning fee to keep guests costs down. We provide a broom for you to sweep the tent and we ask that everything be returned to how you found it. This is a pack in - pack out campsite. Guests who leave a clean campsite receive 20% off their next visit. We also offer a 10% discount if 4 or more nights are booked.

Acerca del anfitrión
Anfitrión: Michael Jones

My name is Michael and I will be your host during your stay at The Sunset Way. I love this property and purchased it in 2019. I have travelled extensively in my career and coming back to the lake has always felt like home and I wanted to share this experience with others. I hope you love it as much as I do.
Por qué eligió esta propiedad
I purchased this property in 2019 and fell in love with it's location. I grew up on the lake as a kid during the summer and yet I never knew how amazing this property was.
This property used to belong to a 200 acre hotel that unfortunately burned down in the early 1900's and was later subdivided in the 1960's. The entire area was a farm, and my property has remaining stone walls, rock foundations from a barn, and many wild apple trees. When I purchased it, there was only a small ATV trail from the road down to the lake and it was overgrown with weeds and muck. Since 2019, I installed a gravel driveway and parking area, removed all the overgrown trees so that the apple trees could thrive, and installed the campsite. The transformation has been amazing and I thoroughly love being on the lake. This lake is quiet, with mostly locals who own small lots and camps. There is a residential family of loons who you can hear calling to each other all night. That along with the waves lapping the rocks on the shore give to a very peaceful night.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad
This is a family friendly, no party kind of lake with 1 mile of shoreline that you can kayak around and explore. Please be respectful and stay off other camp's docks and rafts. There is excellent food nearby at Moose Look in Concord, Rileys Fish Shack in St. Johnsbury, Farm to Fire Pizza in Monroe, NH, Brewhouse and Taproom and Schillings Pizza and Beer in Littleton are all excellent. If you are headed south on I-93 on your way home, Polly's Pancakes in Sugar Hill have the best buckwheet, oatmeal, and cornbread pancakes in New England
