Welcome to the Pink House! Inspired by love of the beach, every corner of our home was carefully designed to please the soul. The fully remodeled space for 6 features large 2 bedrooms, 2 bath with an expansive kitchen, dining area and living with a Queen Sofa bed. Please note ceiling height is 6'5". This gorgeous home is just a few minutes WALK to the beach, restaurants. Quick drive to Galveston's Hotspots including Pleasure Pier, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn and all downtown attractions.

The room smelled like smoke, the sheets didn’t smell clean. And there were ants in the kitchen and a few throughout the house even in the beds.

Nice apartment upstairs with enjoyable outdoor area. Great location to get quickly to the beach and also to explore the city. Equipped with the essentials to prepare meals. Good online communication with contact person.

Upstairs can have as many as 6 guests. Every footstep can be heard, loud voices heard, moving of chairs at dining table. You can hear as they move about the upstairs rental even when walking normally. They are not particularly caring of their renters. When we arrived, we did not have control of our thermostat. The temperature was uncomfortable for us. I brought this to the attention of what I thought was an owner and let them know it was likely a damper issue as I could smell food and perfume from upstairs. 48 hours of lots of back and forth with investment group including one instance of maintenance entering rental without our authorization. A second maintenance visit addressed the damper issue and on day 3 we finally had control of our thermostat for our last 2 nights. My request for 2 nights restitution for the troubles was pending then 2nd request was ignored. This is owned by an investment group.

The description of the house was not clear that this was only downstairs and another family rented upstairs. It a big issue but made for confusion from other tenants

Cozy and comfy

Perfect Cozy 2 bedroom apartment, with a pull out sleeper. Comfortable sleep 6. Quiet neighborhood, peaceful backyard for your morning coffee, 2 minute walk to the beach, less than 10 minutes drive to convenient store for when the kids forget to pack something. Overall 10 out out 10, definitely will book again

My only complaint is what looked like 3 weeks of garbage by the front door. And we went to pop some popcorn and there was a plate of food in the microwave. No telling how long it was there but it didn’t smell good. Other than that we would stay there again in a heart beat.

There were cockroaches and the people staying above us in the same house. I was not clearly aware of. We’re super loud. I thought they were bowling up there or something. When I got there, there were leaves covering the whole entire front of the house and entering the front of the house. Like so many leaves. It was really hard to figure out how to unlock the front door, but I finally did. When I did the leaves got everywhere and we couldn’t sleep well ever because there were children screaming above us and I don’t know what in the world they were doing, but it was so loud. When I reached out to try to tell the property manager, they would apologize and tell me they would reach out to them, but it never really stopped and when I sent them a picture of the cockroach in the shower, they didn’t even reply

Property is ok for a weekend or short trip

Bathrooms were spacious. Not much counter space in kitchens or bathrooms. No pantry. Lights buzz when on. Washer is very loud. Garbage was full when we arrived and trash pickup never passed. Grass needs to be cut. Back yard area was very dirty. The thermostat not go lower than 70 degrees.

The cleanliness of the place was bad

The cleanliness of the place was bad. The bedding was the worst … when I went to remove all the linens the mattress was absolutely dirty, full of stains and debris. Also ALL the pillows were stain. The floor was not clean properly and the dishes were put away wet and with stains. The cushions outside were also full of animal hair and not inviting. The entrance was also not clean before our arrival. The closeness to the beach was nice. Easy check in and out.

Weekend hospital visit

My parents and I were in town to visit my grandfather who is a patient at UTMB Hospital. The hosts were very accommodating and communication was great and timely. The house was clean and the neighborhood was quiet. The location of the house was perfect for us. It’s only 7 minutes from the hospital and the Seawall and Stewart Beach is literally down the street, a couple minutes walk. We will definitely be booking again soon!
