The most peaceful and relaxing vacation. It was so quiet and the deer coming up to visit each night made it a perfect nature setting. The river view was absolutely gorgeous. The hosts were great and I cant wait to come visit again!

This was a perfect place for a romatic honeymoon! Loved the close proximity to wilderness to explore, and the abundance of wildlife in the yard (we've never been so close to deer that werent the least bit concerned about us). This is a place we would love to return to in the spring or summer months.

Awesome stay

We really enjoyed staying here! Location was great and the cabin is great. The cabin had everything we needed and what we used most was the two lawn chairs on the porch !!! We will stay here again if we go there again !!!

The cabin is wonderful inside and out! Gorgeous views and has most everything you need!

We took a much needed vacation and fell in love with this place. It is so beautiful everywhere...The Yak River is super close and we got to see deer every day. It is was a wonderful trip & we miss Montana!

Cabin Stay

The cabin was beautiful and very private. The beds were comfortable. The bedding was good quality. We were able to walk a short distance to the river and saw a lot of deer. Wonderful stay!

The cabin is very comfortable and peaceful. We had a feeling of serenity while we were there. The access road was short and easy to negotiate. Our visit was in summer, so the days were warm and the nights were cool. Air conditioning (and heating) were available, but we did not need them. We did run the ceiling fan to even out the temperature. The kitchen and bathroom facilities were clean and adequate for our visit. The cabin is in an area where wild animals live, so be sure to remove items from your vehicle that would attract wildlife. We emptied our glove box, console and hidey holes of attractors like gum, mints, lotion, and creams. An empty grocery bag or two will come in handy.We enjoyed meeting and visiting with our hosts, although host interaction is not necessary. Still, we were fortunate to hear more about the property and find out more about the area. Wild deer wandered through daily, grazing and looking for water. We would stay again when we are in the area.

Beautiful Cabin in Beautiful Northwest Montana

We loved our visit to the Yaak River and Kootenai Forest, and the ShaBear was a beautiful place to stay. We enjoyed seeing the deer and RB and Sha were great hosts. They know the area well and recommended several places for us to see in the area.

Gorgeous Cabin in the Woods!

This incredible hand made log cabin on a beautifully manicured property right off the Yaak river had everything we needed to be comfortable and relaxed. The owner is very attentive and friendly, we really enjoyed our first stay on the Yaak and at the Shabear cabin...

Wonderful Stay!

Our time at the Sha Bear cabin was the most relaxing we ever had. Very peaceful, quiet, and the cabin was very clean and comfortable. Beautifully decorated with all the amenities. The day trips to Troy and Libby and also exploring the mountain roads was so much fun. We stayed 7 days and hope to return again. The owners are wonderful.

A little piece of Heaven

Our stay was perfect. The cabin had everything we needed. We enjoyed quiet afternoons on the porch watching the deer and squirrels play. The host was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas.

The cabin is comfortable, clean and well equipped. The property is isolated, peaceful and quiet. Our stay was fabulous. The property host was available if needed. Great place to relax and get away!
