Mary's Place is a historic cottage with private garden in the center of town.

This is a cozy two bedroom cottage with new comfortable queen beds, organic cotton linens, full kitchen, one bathroom with a claw foot tub, daybed for extra person in the living room. Toasty pellet stove in the vintage river rock fireplace. Television in living room with Roku, and DVD player. Unlimited WI-FI with stay. There is an enclosed private garden that is child and pet safe. Non-toxic and eco-friendly cleaning supplies, laundry, and toiletries. Washer and dryer available for long stays. Massage table on-site for in room or in garden massage by one of our local massage therapists from out guest book. Small garden gathering allowed upon request, ask about our service wear and extra tables and seats. Dog friendly provided bowls and blankets. Child friendly, with high chair and child accessories upon request. Located in the center of town on the Town Square where there are many summer events, including Friday Farmer’s Market with fresh food and veggies, and food vendors right outside your door. Chautauqua Health Foods Store directly across the street for any grocery needs, as well as close walking distance to restaurants and amenities. Catch shuttles to local events with close walking distances. Or ride our two beach cruiser bikes around town. Perfect for bridal showers, birthdays, and small gatherings.

Mary's Place is a delightful cosy cottage that only a short walk to a great bakery and nice diner. The bed was very comfortable and the place was perfect for our 2 night stay.

The host was timely with check-in instructions. Many items were already provided in the kitchen. The garden was a great place to hang out. And, the proximity to restaurants and the 101 highway was excellent.

The perfect stop on our road trip! The children enjoyed the beautiful outdoor space, the beds were extremely comfortable and the organic market across the street was just perfect for making a quick, healthy breakfast & stock up on snacks.

It was such a beautiful little house with close access to everything. There was an incredible little garden outside of one of the rooms. Everything you would need for your stay!

Darling cabin in town, very comfy beds and nice kitchen. Tami was a great host, very responsive and kind! I would definitely recommend this place.

Mary’s cottage is a special place with very good vibes. The garden was a lovely surprise and more than expected with the trickling fountain and beautiful trees and so many birds. It is a peaceful haven despite the street noise from being on a busy corner. Mary’s cottage was a place I wanted to be. We were there to see the Redwoods but the time we enjoyed inside Mary’s cottage was an equal highlight because the cozy kitchen and relaxing garden made the end of our days something to look forward to. We took advantage of the natural foods store across the street both nights of our stay. Our opinion is Garberville is not a destination itself, it is a struggling town and our original idea of strolling and exploring was not appealing. I don’t recommend watching any Netflix documentaries about the history of the emerald triangle while you are there, lol. But Mary’s cottage is special and I would return to Garberville for that. I also preferred the southern location in the county as a base for sightseeing. I usually stay much farther north but I enjoyed this alternative and would choose it again. The weather did not cooperate with our planned day trip to shelter cove, I look forward to that in the future! I would love to know what mattress is in the bedroom that opens to the garden, I got the best sleep ever!

Cutest little house

This was my third stay at this property and I will keep coming back. The house is so close to shops and cafes and only a short drive to Richardson Grove where the rest of my family likes to camp.

Comforting and delightful! The beds were excellent, lovely details throughout the space. We loved just walking across the street to the natural food market. The kitchen was well equipped, nice appliances.

Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well equipped. Bathroom needed somewhere to put toiletries and hairdryer cord did not reach far enough to see in the mirror.

Cute house!

This property is super cute. Its a small house, but has everything you could need during a stay. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The back yard is adorable. This was a great stop over on our way to the redwoods. Great history of the house and a gracious host.
