Cox Bay Retreat-Beach Access, Hot Tub, Fireplace

COX BAY RETREAT is nestled in the forest and is a short 5-minute walk to the surfing paradise Cox Bay. This house is 3 bedroom with 2-full bathrooms and a wrap around deck, perfect for your morning coffee or afternoon relaxation. The kitchen and living area is an open concept with bar stools around the island great for socializing while you cook in.

Upstairs features a full kitchen with brand new stainless steel appliances, propane fireplace with a flat screen TV. Just off the kitchen is the master bedroom with king size bed and en-suite bathroom. The en-suite has a large soaker tub as well as a stand up shower. The second and third bedroom are located on the first floor(entrance level) One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has a combination of a queen bed and a bunk bed.

When the sun is shining in Tofino, step out onto your private balcony which has a gas BBQ, dining table for those lovely alfresco dinners, a sectional for relaxing and just below is a hot tub perfect for the end of the evening wind down.

Host Rules

Renter's Agreement: Guests must sign the Renter's Agreement to confirm their reservation.

Age min: must be 25 years or older to book.

During peak summer season (June 15 - Sept 15), 3 night minimum and all bookings must be back-to-back to avoid gaps.

3 night minimum stay for all Canadian Statutory Holidays

We offer discounted rates on month long stay ONLY during our low season (Dec-Feb)

Pet Policy: Dogs allowed up to 2 dogs max, after owner approval. Sorry no Cats allowed!

Please note: A long-term tenant lives on-site in a separate caretaker suite as per Tofino Bylaws

Strict Quiet Hours: 10pm to 8am - please be respectful of the neighbours and locals!

Cancellation Policy: We offer a 30 day cancellation policy. If you provide us with the 30 days required notice you will receive a full refund (minus any pesky 3rd party fees they may collect). If you cancel without the required days notice you will not receive a refund for your reservation.

Accidental Damage Protection: Accidental Damage Protection is included in the total cost of your reservation—there is no additional fee after booking, as it is automatically applied at the time of purchase. This coverage protects against accidental damages up to $1,000 that may occur during your stay.
Please note: This protection does not apply to damages caused by parties, unauthorized events, or negligent behaviour. It is strictly intended for unintentional mishaps that may happen while you're staying in the home.

Amazing stay steps from Cox Bay Beach.

We had a fantastic stay exploring Tofino and hitting the waves. The place was incredibly well-equipped - a great kitchen and beautiful bathrooms. We loved the hot tub and location.

Perfect location, close to beach , very clean and beautiful!

We had a wonderful stay. A short trail to the beach and close toPacific Sands resort where they have a great little outdoor restaurant with burgers and tacos and fire pits. Will definitely consider staying here again.

A pleasant stay

Our stay at Cox Bay Retreat was very pleasant. It was quiet, fairly private, well located and well organized. I would however make a few suggestions namely that the dishwasher be fixed (the bottom rack does not roll out well at all), alternative comforters could be in the room for people sensitive to down. Our master bedroom had only one bath towel. Beds were on the soft side, we prefer firm beds. Communications and directions were very clear and timely.

Overall a great stay

The only problem was we had difficulty finding the house when we first got there as it is quite hidden and not obvious, but other than that it was great. We had a great time hiking to the beach!

I was pleasantly surprised by the house. There was plenty of space and had a nice balcony with comfortable seating and a bbq. Great for a getaway.

Perfect Time in Tofino

This house was a perfect location for us to get to our day trips and hikes and beach. One of the nicest and well equipped rental properties we have stayed at. The hot tub and cozy robes made it feel like a resort experience, but at the same time it had the comforts of home. Hope to return someday!

Cox Bay Retreat

We were very impressed with the property. It’s very family friendly with lots of room to be together. The beds were awesome! It was a short 5 minute walk to the beach and so nice to hear the waves at night. We rate it a 5 star!

Perfect Tofino Getaway

This was a three generation family vacation. Myself with two adult daughters and a four year old granddaughter. The location was beyond our expectations - just minutes from Cox Bay down a groomed path leading right to the beach. It was well appointed with plush towels, robes, tv, kitchen supplies etc etc etc. Would go again and highly recommend you try it.

Wonderful stay

We had 6 adults in February and had a wonderful time. House was great for fixing a few meals, walking down to the beach for sunrise and sunset. Kids walked down to the beach to surf. Super close to tofino to drive into town for groceries and shopping. We would happily stay here again.

Perfect location, great property

We have been to Tofino a number of times and this was one of our best stays yet. Great communication and info from the host, the space is lovely, exactly as described, well set up kitchen, comfy beds and lots of clean towels. LOVE places that accept pets as they are part of the family and love the vacation just as much as we do. So great to take a short stroll down to Cox Bay and enjoy our days.

Amazing April

The beach was steps away, we hit perfect weather. The kitchen and living area was perfect for our group of 4, as well as the sunny deck. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen as we did not want to spend time looking for restaurants. Lots of stairs to the main floor but not a problem. Nice bedrooms and bathrooms.

Dad’s Birthday Celebration

We gathered family from Lethbridge Kelowna and Courtenay to celebrate a milestone Birthday The accommodation was great and the amenities were fantastic. Too bad the weather didn’t cooperate a bit better but what can you expect in November on the Wet coast.

A weekend away

We had a great stay at the Cox Bay retreat. The place was super clean and lots of room for my husband and I, our two adult boys and their girlfriends. The kitchen was well stocked for all our cooking needs, we loved the spa like bathrooms, a great surf board rack with a hose to rinse off the gear and it was nice to be so close to the beach. A few minutes down the path and you are there. Highly recommend this place! We will be back :)

Beautiful location and house

The house is lovely and far better equipped than most rentals. The location is fantastic: closer to the beach than we had expected (it’s really close) but it still feels private and peaceful. Easy communication with the property managers. We would stay again in a heartbeat. We never felt crowded — even with four adults, two kids, and a dog. Good outside space and surf board rack.

Great Family Vacation Location

For 2 of us, this was a repeat visit. We brought our Calgary based family of 2 adults and two teen grand daughters. They were impressed and delighted with the location, accommodation and amenities. The short walk to a large beach area was pleasant and facilitated bringing chairs and boards. Interesting weather, cool mornings and hot afternoons. Great sunsets. Close to Tacofino and other good outlets. Book early, you wont be disappointed.
